    Not necessarily. They could just send Burgos/Thornburg/whoever down after the game and bring up a more traditional RP like Olmsted or Hand. Yep, that's the best move. Probably won't be Hand yet since they'd have to make a 40-man move, but could be Sanchez. or Olmstead

    didnt they sort of mess with thornburg last year by bringing him up to pitch out of the bullpen, then rtoation, then pen, back to minors and back into the rotation? really hope that they just stick to the rotation for him in AAA/MLB and dont mess up his rhythm

    this is such a BS 20/20 post. you're taking the successes of other players in other farm systems in completely different team structures and putting that into MKE's system, which DOESNT WORK. there is no way you can say that any player we passed up in the draft would have: a.) signed with the brewers b.) progressed and developed through the minors at the same/better rate than the team that drafted them c.) would have had success at the major league level d.) wouldnt have gotten injured/had a set back/been mismanaged by MiLB coaches/staff/trainers

    I think its more likely for Rogers to get one good inning 2 - 3 games in a row than 6 good innings every 5 days. thats just my uneducated opinion, I just feel like he's a guy who will actually thrive from this change from SP to RP.
