Maybe Cain didn’t think the players would be so selfish and not responsible enough that they would be out partying, on cruises, going golfing, etc... and now that he’s seen it play out, he’s making a smarter move for himself and his family. If I was a guy like Cain, I’d be pissed at my fellow players for some of the crap they’ve done and pissed at the MLB for their lack of true leadership. It’s pathetic all around. -
The MLB butchers just about everything it does. Doesn’t surprise me that they’re too inept to figure out how to keep players safer and actually have a season.

I mean, just because you’re famous and have money doesn’t mean you are not human. Fear and anxiety over situations like this doesn’t discriminate based on your bank account.

I would love to live other places around the world just to see the major differences of how people act and behave. It’d be really interesting to me. Unfortunately, I echo the above. While there have been some surface changes to make it look like they’re doing this right, so much is so wrong. Two weeks sounds about right. Should be enough of a build up of outbreaks by then to (my best Jon Taffer) shut it down.

It appeared as though Houser was using his breaking pitches a little more than normal last night. When he ran into trouble last year, it was typically when he was relying too much on his fastball, and was having trouble locating it. His location wasn't super last night, either, but his use of the breaking stuff made up for it. Still, it was a very positive start for the "Houser is a starter" truthers. He did a great job last night considering the start-stop-start with the rain.

Braun could be 80 years old and I’d want him at the plate with 2 outs needing runs.

All Braun needed was some dbag umpire trying to get the game over with to fire him up.

At least he’s hit a few balls hard and seems to have figured out his strike zone a bit.

I think 35 HR and an OPS of .845 is pretty special. I don’t see García coming close to replacing that kind of production, and he’s playing RF where you are usually looking for a lot of production. Yes, Moose had a very nice season a year ago. Thinking those were going to be his numbers again would be very foolish. He has another 10 years of a career that tells you that.

Garcia will be just fine replacing Moustakas who wasn’t a special player by any means. Although I thank him for some great moments. Navaez replacing Grandal should be interesting. The numbers are there especially vs. RHP. I hope he catches well enough though.

It’s a long(ish) seasons still but it’s hard not to be bummed by what we have seen so far. Just not very good.

Dumb. They don’t have an at bat with a RISP but will probably win this game.
