Yep. This exactly. We may end up needing a lot of runs come playoff time. Or just down the stretch even. But the Brewers have done all they can to give themselves a shot.
Part of the reason we may be seeing such a successful rotation is due to the decision to buy into more days off and not abusing our arms. They’ll get plenty of enough abuse come playoffs. The long game has worked out even when a lot of fans wanted to see match ups being played in June.
You dumped Charter in a pennant race?!? After four Internet outages in the last 2 months that cost my wife work time I had had enough. Especially after the guy went through our backyard at 6:30 unannounced in the evening and put a line trap on us without telling anybody and it took 3 days to get internet service back. Yikes.
You gotta get to the 10th for any of it to matter. That and it being their heart of the order. I’m glad they stick to their thought on this. Can’t imagine how many games we might’ve blown in the 9th trying to be cute.
Fine with me. But there should be a cap also. Either that or revenue sharing increases because you just cannot keep having the differences you do across the board with resources.
The Reds aren’t good enough. They’re a solid to good team but they simply aren’t good enough to play at the rate the Brewers are. Those that were and still are afraid of the collapse, it’s only a matter of time before you’re finally at ease.
At this point, I’ll take a slap hitting, high OBP Yelich in our lineup. He can worry about power heading to next season. We just consistency from him. Something like .280/.370/.420 is just fine with me.
