  1. These are the deals I expect. A bunch of please get hot at the right time players.
  2. Awesome. Hope he can defy the odds and make it back!
  3. Take on all of Greinke and it might not be too crazy.
  4. Villar would be a good player for them as they need a leadoff batter and 2B is open.
  5. I hope you and others know it’s just not this simple. Who knows who the Blue Jays would value from the Brewers. Just because the rankings are close it means very little. Heck, the Blue Jays may not be interested in any of our players in those rankings.
  6. Uhh, yeah. What’s your point? He was called up long term, not for a weekend series. He will get his at bats.
  7. Does Jonathan Villar make sense for the crew if they do want another option? Having a very nice season for Baltimore and plays 2B/SS. [sarcasm]As great as Slamadino is[/sarcasm] I think Villar would be a better player.
  8. Dodger put the tag on Grandal but didn’t want to go long term. As it looks, they of course have a young catcher ready to take the league by storm in Will Smith. Man, the Dodgers are good at developing players.
  9. I hope the Brewers tell Arcia the job is yours for the remainder of the season and give Arcia a shot of confidence. Then if nothing gets better and they want to address the position, do it in the off season.
  10. How can we also pry Dominic Smith away?
  11. Not sure why the Mets would now trade away pitching. Trade away their one-year guys like Frazier if they can and make big signings in the offseason on offense.
  12. [sarcasm]Let the kid’s play.[/sarcasm]
  13. Stinks that Hiura’s hitting streak is going to end. Unless they rally up in the 9th.
  14. If you are expecting rational discourse, the in game thread during a bad loss is not the place to go. I know but it honestly comes from a select few that can’t watch a baseball game and not go all emotional every time something doesn’t go our way. Look back through the IGT’s over the past few games and you’ll notice a select few are missing from the discussions and things were great. They come out of the woodwork frequently and often as of late and it just drags this place down so much. It’s just a shame. But you are right.
  15. And Stearns stands pat with that and all our injuries...just bring up another AAA pitcher. Brewers are pretenders at the management/ownership level. Money trumps success! We cannot get to the postseason in successive years without blind luck with young guys or previously so-so players having career years. Man, this place was great the past couple of days. Now we are back to this crap. Lovely.
  16. Boy, it’d be great if our hitters got on top of a few pitches. Easy outs everywhere.
  17. Zach Davies is about as best as we can expect from Supak. And Supak is about our only pitching prospect close. Yikes.
  18. Brewers were in on Holland per BrewCrew site.
  19. Because they’ve faced 2-LHP
  20. I’d rather see if Moustakas can’t get another deal that saddle us with him through the age of 34. He’s solid and has had a nice year but that doesn’t seem smart.
  21. I’d be really interested to know how much of a drop off Pina would be for the rest of the season. He’s been hot with the bat and he seems to call a better game for our pitchers. I don’t think it’d be that severe.
  22. Hey! We actually agree on something. You can only do what you can do with what you have to give, but...I do believe prices will be coming down on some of these guys as the day gets closer. That being Said, I would certainly hope that DS has gauged what kind of value guys like Arcia, Aguilar, Burnes, Nelson have. He is going to have to get creative. Now granted, individually none of them have a lot of value, but if you put them into a package of some sort, I would think there's teams that would be interested in some of these guys. At this point, as I mentioned before, if all DS did was got this team a new SS, I'd be ecstatic..I'm beyond done with Arcia. I doubt we are on the same page but I’ll take it. I’d sell Moose and Grandal in a heart beat still. We have guys that can step in at those positions if the right deals are out there.
  23. That is ban material right there...
