  1. Nope. An absolute joke is when Dante Bichette is your best player. An absolute joke is when you feel bad sending Ricky Bones to the all star game because your team needs a rep and you know you are taking the honor away from a deserving player. If you have been a Brewers fan for any amount of time ... you will agree that being above .500 and within reach of the playoffs come August is a luxury for our team. Are expectations different for this team and this era of Crew Ball? Yep. Have the injuries and list of under performing players been frustrating given the hype. Yep. An absolute joke? Come on man. You answered it yourself. Whether they go on to the post season is one thing for me but they’re not even trying to rearrange the roster to give them possibly the best shot at it. Jackson, Guerra, Jeffress in the pen still? I mean, what are we waiting for? Already going to be a difficult climb. They traded for arms, use them. Tired of the old folk telling people it’s okay because it’s been a terrible franchise to follow. I mean, what? It makes no sense to live in the past with conversations like this.
  2. I don’t know why I fully expected to see a flurry of transactions to our MLB club today. Sorry for the negativity at 9am on a game day but it’s getting to be an absolute joke.
  3. It’s too bad the Badgers didn’t stick by him a bit more. Probably as good as gone.
  4. Cephus Innocent Thoughts?
  5. Umpire definitely wants to get out of the sun. Oh well, saved us some pain.
  6. Pomeranz looks good. Might've won a series in Oakland had CC not been such a pansy.
  7. I can't understand how the front office expects anyone to buy into the deadline moves being anything at all when 2 of the 3 guys couldn't even make the team over a recent DFA pitcher and the other one can't even get into a game. I wasn't a Dubon believer but it begs the question of whether or not we maxed his value out.
  8. He probably will be. At the time of callup, Chicago's SP were not announced yet. I personally did not think Hamels would be ready to make a starts, and the backup plan was probably Alec Mills who is RH. I also believe Darvish is Sunday...so he would have had 2 starts this weekend. There's a decent chance he starts tomorrow though... I get that he could be but bringing him up solely to hit against RHP is also a mistake if that is the plan from the Brewers. If he's up, play him a bunch against everyone and let the kid get acclimated.
  9. Find an injury for JJ or DFA him and send Jackson packing. Call up Faria and Black. Use Pomeranz as well. See what you have in all three of those arms. It just cannot be any worse. If it is, well we get to roast Stearns a bit more I guess and we try again next season.
  10. Both of them should have been moved at their peaks, you are right on this. But they still should have been moved.
  11. Braun is still here. He is playing and playing pretty well. Gamel is now the 4th OF which is something that Domingo didn't seem to handle well. When you put all the factors together including OF flexibility, defense, baserunning, and offense, this deal was a win for the Brewers. The offensive production we have had out of our LF position is just about in line with the production of Santana and we don't have to put up with his lousy outfield defense.
  12. Once he gets Tommy John, he will be fine.
  13. I use Directv Now and it has been doing that a couple of times over the last 2-3 days.
  14. Wonder if JJ spent more of his time opening up a food truck and DJ'ing that working on his craft as a pitcher. Not sure if this should be in blue or not.
  15. Please keep this at 5-1 and give us a punchers chance.
  16. It will be really interesting to see where we are a year from now. A year ago, we were looking at Stearns like he was gold. Right now, I think a lot of opinions are changing and maybe rightfully so.
  17. How has Jeffress not "hurt" an oblique yet?
  18. Wonder when Cain is going to stop trying to hit home runs? Such a disappointment this season.
  19. My beef is that the guys we have traded for are not being used. I mean, what was the point?
  20. Yikes man. Make a play. Glad you can hit but make a damn play.
  21. I don't think you have to throw 95+ to be a good starting pitcher but I also think it is very hard to be a good one, consistently, when throwing 86-88mph. These hitters are just too good unless you have that great of control and/or have amazing offspeed pitches.
  22. Gotta be the Gomez deal, but both ended up working in the Brewers' favor. The LuCroy Indians trade might have been ok, although I've always thought Mejia was overrated. Without Lucroy to Texas, does Yelich get to us?
