For all the grandstanding that group wanted to do at times, he was their chance to get something right and they whiffed. Big time. Hopefully, Gard can now get this thing going in a much more positive direction.

    Is that a thing? The rule that was followed by my HS for sports this past year was: Once you've tested positive for the virus, you do not need to be tested again for 90 days from symptom onset. I do not know if this has changed but that was the rule during my season.

    Interesting. I hadn’t looked either. Knowing all we know now, I’m glad this trade was made. Urias is a bright spot and Lauer has shown flashes of success and has had a nice season.

    Why do I have this Pavlovian feeling that we are destined to get swept by the Pirates at home? Past experiences and fan pessimism. It could happen. It’s a major league team. It shouldn’t happen. There’s no reason not to be taking 2 of 3 from them. Win series, win division. Win series, win World Series. That’s what’s in front of them.
