  1. Huh? Didn’t Stearns just say he still see him pitching this season?
  2. Sure sounds like you’re dismissing posters by telling them what they can and cannot post towards the discussion. You may not care about defense but plenty of others do. It’s a huge part of what makes someone valuable. And that’s exactly what your thread is about. The MVP. If it’s not, change the title of your thread and just make it about stroking it to Aguilars offensive numbers. Because that’s all you really want to do in the end anyways.
  3. Goes back to you just don’t DL people just to do it. I wish it’d go back to 15 days just so we get out of that mindset around here.
  4. 1. Oh my... figure it out already. 2. No you didn’t 3. Yes it is. That’s exactly how you created this thread and attempt to defend it. You’ve had posters tell you why Cain is a better choice for an MVP (team or league) and you dismiss them.
  5. Ride the hot hand. When it goes cold, send him away.
  6. Fulmer is basically a younger Junior Guerra. Peripherals aren’t overly impressive but the job gets done. Just not sure I want to trade for that.
  7. The story of the season might be the contributions of those that were not expected.
  8. Romano looks so uncomfortable out of the stretch. Looks like a HS kid you’re hoping to get some innings out of in a blowout.
  9. Send one to the seats Braunie, come on now. Edit: or dribble back to pitcher and be hurt. SMH
  10. Well they mentioned he was “wincing” at first base.
  11. Hot just about everywhere but yes it sounds dangerous if not staying properly hydrated.
  12. Tough to give up Thames right now with Shaw being hurt/struggling as he’s that left handed punch we need. Problem is he’s not an outfielder and Aguilar is limited to playing 1B.
  13. From time to time, even crappy teams find a way to win and stay 14 games over.
  14. Brad Miller actually has a track record of hitting. That’s the difference. More like one good year... An OpS+ of over 100 in 4 of 6 seasons. He’s a hitter. Don’t have sour grapes because Sogard sucks and we actually found a ball player.

  16. I've received the "you must be a thrill at parties" because I've expressed disappointment with the Brewers as well and I don't get it. BTW... I've been told I'm a blast at parties, but that's probably because I wasn't worrying about the Brewers blowing opportunities at the time. Sure, the Brewers are in first place and have the best record in the NL, but we've seen this before, and it hasn't ended well. Yes, the Brewers bullpen has been amazing, and the starting pitching has come around for the most part. Without this, the Brewers would likely be .500, or worse. What is disappointing to me is, imagine how far ahead they could be if the bottom third of the lineup could even be hitting .240. The two game lead (or whatever it is) over the Cubs is basically not even a lead. We had a much more commanding lead at the All-Star break last year and saw it disappear about as fast as physically possible. If the bullpen wouldn't have blown like 15 games in the first month and a half of the season the Brewers could have easily won the division, but they didn't take advantages of opportunities. That's how I feel about this year. The Brewers are doing good, and their main competition hasn't done that well, but we can't count on that sticking through for another half season. I look back at 2014 as well and how commanding the Brewers lead was and how they let it slip away. This is the reason why so many Brewers fans take a pessimistic approach... we haven't seen them take advantage of opportunities on a consistent basis (with the exception of 2011... which was awesome). Being pessimistic doesn't mean that you aren't passionate about the team... in fact, it likely may be because you are extremely passionate about this team and just want... no, just need, this team to be successful... just once in our lifetime. Womp. Womp.
  17. No one ever didn't. I like Thames a lot. Simply said after his last AB that he needed to step up. He stepped up. What's not to like? I promise you that it wasn’t directed at you.
  18. [sarcasm]No. He sucks. Terrible. All these guys are worthless human beings except Aguilar.[/sarcasm]
