  1. Jennings may not even have entered the game, who knows. Either way, Bandy isn’t good. It’s been pretty apparent for awhile.
  2. Opinions welcome, but he spent the offseason belittling anyone who suggested Jeffress might pitch better when pitching for the Brewers, and scoffing at the thought of considering Aguliar for the 25 man roster. He wouldn't even acknowledge that great winter ball results could suggest Aguilar is improving. Fair enough.
  3. You’re crazy. (Sorry door was open) But, Suter isn’t a bad pitcher. Drake wore out his welcome because a lot of the time he wasn’t used properly. And Bandy would be fine if there wasn’t a catcher in the minors that is supposed to be superior defensively and is have a nice head offensively. What is to hurt trying that route?
  4. Eh, I don’t know. People have been pretty down on Bandy for awhile now. The difference is Counsell isn’t trying to make him a starter like he did with Sogard.
  5. Just because you’re the bench guy doesn’t mean you get to stink. I believe you are mistaken.
  6. Yeah I’m not sure what Stearns is thinking right now with Bandy. He doesn’t do anything real well.
  7. Did you see this: http://insider.espn.com/blog/buster-olney/insider/post/_/id/18519/olney-hitters-who-cant-beat-the-heat-getting-left-behind Braun is hitting .151 against 96+ mph fastballs since 2016. It's possible he's starting his swing a split-second sooner to keep up, and that's why he's having more trouble laying off bad pitches. Usually this is manifested in k% and bb% both going in the wrong direction, but Braun has incredible hand-eye coordination for making contact and appeared to acquire more patience (and less overconfidence) as he aged, mitigating the damage in 2016 and 2017. This looks like the year it's all coming unraveled though. Incidentally, Cain's slight uptick in bb% and decrease in k% last year, combined with his incredible sb/cs ratio and sustained elite speed in the outfield, were probably big factors in the Brewers deciding to take a chance on him despite all the evidence that a contract like that for a 32-year-old is almost always a bad investment. The guy is somehow still in the middle of his physical prime, and the Brewers are looking like geniuses for signing him when hardly a single free agent is paying off for any other team. Does it say what he hit against that speed previous to the last couple of seasons? He can start earlier but needs good pitch recognition or he will continue to struggle. Also, lessen the length of the bat.
  8. Nope. Braun probably doesn’t approve any trade.
  9. Curious what others think Machado will sign for this off-season? My guess would be something like 9 or 10 years in the $275-$300 million range. You’re probably looking more towards $325-$375 million. Harper may push close to $400 million even though I think Machado is more valuable. As nice as it would be to have a Machado, this price just isn’t realistic for a market like Milwaukee. I’ll add a deal though: Orioles get: Arcia, Braun (all salary- $50M), Burnes, and Ortiz. Brewers get: Machado with the condition that he signs a 9-year/$333M extension.
  10. I would only trade for Machado if we could afford to lock him up in a deal. Which we can’t. So unfortunately, pass.
  11. So someone was “wrong” (its only May) on a couple of things and now they shouldn’t post their opinions on our message board that is designed for opinions? SMH
  12. We will never know if he even has a change up when guys can’t even put his fastball in play.
  13. it’s becoming comical watching guys try to hit Hader.
  14. Especially after yet another walk. Must be contagious.
  15. What do you mean? He's a decent pitcher. There's no controversy about him starting when he's healthy. I'm like 99% positive he was joking in reaction to my post and the post from the guy saying that it would be underwhelming to bring Davies up in place of the one hit wonder to this point, Peralta. That though, may be the single worst take I've seen in 15 years of coming to this board. I hope you don’t plan on heading to the casino anytime soon.
  16. What do you mean? He's a decent pitcher. There's no controversy about him starting when he's healthy. Probably thought it was the Braun thread. Oh, snap. Just acting like a select few ps. I like Davies.
  17. Acquiring Hamels would look like this: Hamels Anderson Davies Chacín Guerra (Nelson) Acquiring Machado: Cain- CF Yelich- LF Machado- SS Shaw- 3B Santana- RF Braun/Thames/Aguilar- 1B Villar- 2B Pina- C Pitcher
  18. I’m not really sure why you’re taking a combative approach on this or anything for that matter.
  19. Doesn't it feel great to be wrong in this direction? It does. I hope he continues to mash the hell out of the ball.
  20. Just because people might think he’ll come back to earth a bit doesn’t mean they don’t like him as a player. Just some good data that shows that he may continue doing what he is doing.
