  1. They don’t want to start Burnes on 4-days rest is my guess. They want to stick to a schedule of 5-days right now.
  2. Again, for most of us arguing that Burns should have pitched today, this is not what we are saying at all. You can accomplish the same objective and give starters just as much rest by being strategic about when you do it. When did they start the 6 man rotation - wasn't it not until the beginning of June (maybe I'm wrong)? They could have started it earlier - like late mid/late May. Plan the pitching schedule and rest while keeping key series against teams you are battling in mind. It’s Burnes and the Brewers like their schedule and usually stick to it. We always see guys not in the lineup after a hot night at the plate. They do things differently. It seems to work for them.
  3. It’s going to be a huge battle to get to the finish line with this staff. Coming off a short season with young pitchers that don’t have the history of throwing a lot of innings is going to be tough. To be honest, I’m a little shocked more on this board doesn’t get that and see why they’re being so cautious and consistent with how they handle these guys. Kudos to the Brewers for knowing that, having a plan, and sticking to it. The easy thing to do would be to shove out their best as much as they can and if they run out of gas, they’d have a built in excuse.
  4. While this probably becomes true, you just don’t know until they get their opportunities. Those guys you named had to be developed and given opportunities to show their stuff just like this next wave or arms.
  5. Keep beating this drum. I think you’ll look foolish by the end of the season but hey, that’s just an opinion.
  6. He's said repeatedly that he prefers the role he has now compared to his previous role you described. He's also at the point in his career where you want to make him happy and comfortable. I think Hader needs to take out a few billboards letting people know he’s the 9th inning man now or something. Just replace the one call that’s all ones with it.
  7. Just keep running the 6-man as long as you can. Why would they change? It’s working…
  8. You don’t squeeze the life out of them right now though. If they lose today or win today, there is still a long ways to go in this season. CC has always been great at recognizing that and that and puts our team in a good position at the end of the season to be in the mix.
  9. Just stick with Hiura at 1B and Urias at 3B.
  10. Just Starr shooting 3’s and hope you get hot.
  11. Help? Who needs help when they just keep churning out W's.
  12. Well done by the camera crew capturing all the Cubs fans heading for the exits.
  13. Love it. Looks like this Brewers lineup knows how to make pitchers work!
