  1. Josh Hader Is Becoming Baseball’s Most Valuable Reliever
  2. I wasn't one of them but it is not like Nottingham was exactly giving much to be confident about. The report was poor defense and struggled at the plate. Not sure what to get too excited about before his hot start this season. The only part of that that's true...is that you weren't one of the people being negative about Nottingham. The report of poor defense and struggled at the plate doesn't tell the whole story. He improved drastically behind the plate last year, and his offensive peripherals improved despite the overall numbers stagnating. So the report you are referring to is simply inaccurate, unless one reads a scouting report from a national level source and looks solely at OPS to determine how he was at the plate. Yeah, I didn't get a chance to head down to Biloxi and catch many of his games so going by the scouting reports, that were not favorable, is about all some of us have to go on.

  4. Jett didn't light it on fire but he held his own over the last few games while Pina was out. Here's hoping to Nottingham being a stud!
  5. I really hope he gets a shot and tears the cover off the ball.
  6. It may be more of an overworking of the muscles than it is a lack of stretching. Seems like there is more muscle pulls now than ever.
  7. Never said that some opinions don't hold more worth and there is nothing wrong with providing your evidence as to why he is a bullpen piece as you are doing but to say "This is not an argument anymore." is just not true and a terrible way to post. (It doesn't shock me from the source because that poster likes to create a stir by what they post; see Albers is not good post from yesterday's thread for evidence) I also don't think ridiculing someone for having an opinion needs to happen either. I know I've done it in the past but what's the reason for it? Usually just creates more crap on here than anything else. On the topic: Others have come on here and mentioned why they believe he should get an opportunity as a starter, some have mentioned the two-pitch arsenal of our very own Ben Sheets. There have been successful two-pitch starters IF you have two really good pitches as Hader seems to have. Does that mean that having a third pitch wouldn't drastically help him? Of course not. But some keep mentioning his walks and so far this season (2.8/BB9) has been much, much better. Even his 4.2/BB9 last season wasn't terrible so that is a good sign moving forward if they were to want to make that switch.
  8. Opinion. Because that’s what any of us have. There is no evidence, anywhere, that says Hader will or will not be a starter in this league so speaking in absolutes about whether it can be discussed doesn’t make sense and it comes off terribly. On a different note, if someone has that much dislike built up about other posters or how this forum operates, why come here?
  9. And I’m sure Chacin was coming back out for the 5th before hurting himself. Did they report that somewhere? I didn't hear or see that. I did see him run to first awkwardly. Just assumed. Nothing official.
  10. To be fair, Counsell had been ejected the batter before. And I’m sure Chacin was coming back out for the 5th before hurting himself.
  11. Come on Brewers, figure out a way to steal this series.
  12. He's now walked 3 times today. 8 total for the year. Pretty good.
  13. Side note: Bucks just drained a 3 at the buzzer to push game one into OT.
  14. Sogard stinks. Really wish we had a different option there.
  15. As someone who played baseball at UW-Superior where 40 degrees is balmy for a spring game, I’d agree. I never saw a player for us wearing the face masks either. You.. Another UWS guy! I’m a UMD guy but my brother played at UWS. Grew up in Superior. These guys are babies.
  16. Is Cain even that good in center? Hasn’t showed this season yet. Nice hustle by Perez saves a run.
  17. I get that 40 degree weather isn’t nice to play in but these guys look like such babies.
  18. Hader has recorded 26 outs this season for the Brewers with 20 of them being strikeouts. Unreal.
  19. Not anymore... you must have jinxed him. It was eventual. But I don’t think some back tightness is too big of a deal.
  20. Is it that cold there? Braun looks miserable. Nice hit though. Lol
  21. And a very nice turn by Villar to get out of the third. Positive movement.
