  1. Would probably prefer the Cards to sweep. At worst the cards need to win the series and the Brewers need to win their series. I'll do it the hard way. I HATE the Cardinals. I hope they get swept. Then we'll sweep the Cubs next weekend and break their hearts. I just cannot stand the Cardinals. The Cubs aren't near their territory of annoying.
  2. So, we want the Cards to take 2 of 3 and for us to either win 2 or 3 ourselves right? Seems like the best match to start our trek to the top of the division.
  3. Where has it been stated that Wilkerson is even pitching in this game? I missed that part.
  4. Even if it does work, the people who believe that relievers shouldn't be starting games will continue to do so. If Jeffress comes out and throws three great innings it won't matter. The life of being a MLB manager...
  5. Well it is pretty obvious to me. [sarcasm]Jungmann is a club house cancer.[/sarcasm]
  6. Like most things, we are making a bigger deal about this than needed. If they only plan on pitching a 2-3 innings apiece, why does it even matter who starts the game? It's a bullpen game. We'll win 7-5 tonight.
  7. What's the over/under of Rock and Brian mentioning this rare circumstance tonight and through the weekend? Might have to be a drinking game!
  8. Someone from the Brewers actually stated this somewhere or is it some estimate from some writer? I find that hard to believe, as no private sports ownership ever gives out that much detail. That is why the NFL players union loves the Packers. I could've sworn I remember MA talking about being in the "red" for those seasons but how he doesn't mind doing it if they have a chance to win. Maybe it's my mind playing tricks on me and I don't have time or really want to look up a source but I feel like it happened. lol
  9. Right there with ya torts. Let's go boys!
  10. I'm with ya. Although if it were the Brewers I don't even know what I would do with myself.
  11. Well, the Rockies lost so we are 2.5 games out there now.
  12. Just open it all up and tell people only select concessions will be open. Come on Milwaukee. Get er done!
  13. I can understand why some want to trade/sign for a pitcher with a name. It feels good. It feels safe. It makes you more comfortable going into the next season. But at the same time, by doing so it is one less opportunity for a young arm that we have that possibly could be as good or better and a heck of a lot cheaper. We are just starting to see the first wave of homegrown arms come through. It could be the first time in the Brewers franchise that we have this opportunity. I would hate to see us ruin that by trades/free agent signings.
  14. I just mentioned this to my dad. I bet tickets will be up on StubHub for at least double the price. He called me to see if I could try the site because he kept getting error messages when he tried buying tickets. I did, too, when I tried. I'm guessing the site was getting slammed. My dad eventually got to the next step in the purchase process, so he hung up on me in order to focus. HAHA, nice. I just went on there and didn't have much of an issue. The Field Diamond Box are all but taken but there are plenty of the Field Infield Box tickets left. Hopefully people of the Milwaukee area take advantage of his and "pack" it as much as possible to give it a home game like feeling.
  15. How many people are gonna buy up those tickets to try to make a profit off of them? Feels like a perfect opportunity for those people/companies.
  16. Is that what they're continuing to do? Seems to me they just got done with a decade of competing, including twice trading for Cy Young winners in their prime and haven't(at times even to their detriment) used or acting like a team that was rebuilding at all. Not to mention, during THIS current rebuild, they're actually outplaying the "contending" Cards. I'm not really seeing this franchise as "horrific" at this point. In fact, I'm not sure what the Brewers could have done the past two years that they could have done better. If taken out of context, you can make anything seem the way you want it. I do agree with you that the last two seasons have gone about as well as anyone could ask for. That's not anywhere near what I said above. Could the Brewers have done more this season? Yep. They could've. If they wouldn't have just said oh we are rebuilding and stuck a bunch of bums in the pen, maybe we are a couple games up right now, who knows? If you want to have the Brewer goggles on and tell me that the Cardinals are somehow beneath us in any way, I don't know where to even begin. There's a good chance that they even win the flipping division this season. It is okay to recognize how lousy our franchise has been over the course of their history as well as recognize that they seem to be on a path to hopefully a long and prosperous stretch. Either way, I'm not sure how someone can't tip their cap to a franchise like the Cardinals that just seem to figure out how to win and win a lot.
  17. I actually wish the Brewers would've had a better jump on this and made this game huge. Sort of like where people call in to bid on things to raise money for whatever it is they raise money for, they could have teamed up with the Marlins and made this one of those games where they had cool things to win from the Marlins and Brewers for a price to donate to the Hurricane stuff.
  18. We do this and do it well. Haha that we do, that we do. Maybe they stick the Marlins mascot up on Bernie's slide. I think they both should be up there. That'd be pretty cool. But you are right, the game is played in Milwaukee. Other than batting first and wearing roadies, it'll be pretty much the same.
  19. Problem with that line of thinking is that then you would have to extend that same deal to all the players when they want to do the same thing with other players/teams, etc... Then you'd have to figure out which ones are telling you the truth, and which ones are just trying to get out of practice. That would be a huge can of worms, but if you are willing to have all those extra one on one practice times, have at it... (I coached high school varsity baseball and volleyball for years, I understand the ins and outs of all that is involved...lol) Yeah I'm willing to. Kids have to be kids and have experiences as well. If some parent came to me and explained to me this situation, I would figure out a way to make it work.
  20. Anderson at 75 pitches, pull him. Start him Sunday. It was blue before, more realistic now.
  21. I'll give him credit because he's played well of late and it's been much needed but his batting average isn't his issue.
  22. Why are they only allowing so many tickets to be sold?
