Did UW miss on a Wisconsin guy (Menomonie) in Nathan Stanley? He's sure looked good so far for them.

As much as I don't want to open this can of worms again but as much as BA misses during the season I hope the Brewers/FSN Wisconsin just move on and find a quality guy to just take his spot. That way we don't have to listen to these other bums like Craig, Auggie and Nelson.

I guess I'll bring it up but why the heck does a 23 year old OF need a day off? Get you butt in there and play. To sit one of our good bats right now is ludicrous. Stupid managing/babying players. Like standing in the OF and collecting 5 plate appearances is so rough on a young body. Stupid.

I have a feeling that the more you see of Aguilar, the less we will like him. He's been used very well by CC this season.

I just can't stand Perez. Everyone has their players. He's mine. To not make a play like that at this point of the race... just go away.

While I do actually support your claim to some extent with how we view players based on the color of their skin, it's not gonna go over well here or anywhere probably. Most won't admit that they view players from other places in the world differently than they do of like-looking people. I will say though that while I don't 100% agree with the Scooter being in that category, it does exist. The Gomez's, and Villar's of the MLB world do get talked about differently than other players. -
The Brewers entered the Colorado Rockies series on August 18th with a 12-24 record against playoff teams (as they are now). They have since went 9-3 against those opponent with a chance at making it win #10 today and pulling themselves within 2 games of the division (and hopefully 2 games of the WC- come on LA). This is a 21-27 record overall with a chance to get that closer to .500 if they want in the playoffs. I bring this up because sometimes in the game thread we talk about how this team doesn't have any fight. While that might be true when we are talking about come back wins, it can't be said overall as this team has went through injury after injury and tough stretch after tough stretch and yet continues to fight and claw their way into contention. No matter how this season does finish itself, what an effort by this team to make it even close. What a treat it would be to see them force a 1-game playoff with either Colorado or Chicago to get in the playoffs.

Pitchers used to be some of the best athletes on the field growing up. A lot of times they'd be your best OF or your SS or possibly your C when they weren't pitching. -
A little early for that. If it's still an eight+ run lead after six than do it. You can't take this win for granted right now when we need all the Ws we can get. Disagree. 8 is and should be enough. Get him off his feet and put a better defensive player out there. It could've paid dividends down the road as he might play a game he normally wouldn't of.

I hope CC is proactive and takes Braun out now. Use this as his off day so he can play tomorrow and through Pitt. If we don't hold an 8 run lead, we don't deserve the win.

So because pitchers still get hurt in the AL, we shouldn't care if our pitchers continue to get hurt swinging bats or running bases? It's silly that leagues have different rules to begin with and it's silly not having an actual major league caliber hitter 1-9. It Madbumn wants to complain, then don't use the DH when he's pitching or grab a mit and learn a position. -
Gotta love old school Bill almost laughing at Rizzo for attempting to beat the shift. Maybe it's because Bill never found himself on base much so he doesn't realize how good it can be for your team to have base runners.

I'm on board with Freddy. I'd rather see him than a Jungmann even as well as he has pitched in AAA.
