  1. I think he is going to be traded (if he even is) to a team other than Texas. We've beat this trade with Texas to death.
  2. When I think of Gallardo ace doesn't come to mind. It is consistency. He was literally the same pitcher almost each and every year. He was above average and consistently went out every 5 days and threw the ball well and gave you a chance to win.
  3. http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/red_sox/2016/04/red_sox_notebook_christian_vazquez_recall_begs_questions Christian Vasquez is the superior defensive catcher in Boston and will most likely push Swihart out of that role. Swihart is an athletic guy that most likely can play other positions as well. I know we have Nottingham on the way but maybe Swihart is a guy we target as a backup to Luc until he's traded and then he's more of a utility guy that catches as well. This guys bat will eventually hit and could be a good piece of us moving forward. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/s/swihabl01.shtml
  4. It is early. I am glad Counsell is not panicking this early on and giving his players a leash to show what they have. I mean even judging a guy like Walsh (batting wise) on sporadic plate appearances is flat out silly.
  5. Maybe he's not any good at CF? You can't just make players what they aren't.
  6. Niewenhuis needs a look out there before we go to Reed.
  7. It happened. When Ron Wolf first came to Green Bay, one of the first things he tried to do was change the color schematic to Notre Dame colors. That didn't go over well. personally i think it would have been an improvement, but i admit you don't mess with history This would be an improvement not only jersey wise but just wearing the gear. Green is my favorite color but the Packers colors don't look good on many.
  8. This would be a nice win for Jimmy to get. Win the opener and at least give yourself a shot at a split road trip.
  9. The silver lining.. sort of... is that no matter how awful Peralta pitches, you cannot win the game with zero runs.
  10. You are not alone. I hope Niewenhuis/Flores start to get most of the reps out there. Broxton looks like a guy that needs time in the minors.
  11. Boy, this game really has a feeling of a no-hitter. It sure would be okay that Molina is the reason to lose a perfect game.
  12. Bring up Davies and Junior Guerra and send Peralta packing for awhile. He's just awful. There's no sugar coating it right now.
  13. Time for Peralta to head to AAA or AA to "work" on things. Even though from the looks of things, Peralta wouldn't know what hard work actually is.
  14. It just dawned on me that Villar has sat on the bench the last two days. Why is a guy that has an OBP of about .450 on our bench?
  15. Garcia is dealing early. No runs for the first inning from Peralta is a blessing.
  16. Quality AB from Scooter against the lefty there. It helped that he was way high on the first three pitches but still, worked the count and made him throw pitches. Scooter still pulls out really bad on off speed pitches. His front shoulder explodes open. He really needs to figure that out if he wants to be a regular against lefties.
  17. I hope Garcia stinks today. Get up early and let Peralta find himself a bit.
  18. Today's a day where I wish we had the DH to keep Carter and Luc in the lineup. Maybe a rule change to a hybrid DH. You get to use it one day a week? lol.
  19. Jacking up the prices on this .500 ball club! Imagine what a winning month would do?!?
  20. This is fun you guys. This is fun. I hope they continue to be competitive, well, just because it is fun!
  21. http://33.media.tumblr.com/e61d0c68596d4338be9227ea0439e47b/tumblr_inline_nskv2ys6BE1qlvpuy_500.gif
  22. He also might not have the value you and other believe he does because he had a poor season last year to begin with and then injury problems. Maybe he needs time to build that value back up? We've seen them all. I would be willing to bet my house on a lot of them if they were available to Stearns he would be taking them. A good indication that those deals are not on the table is that Lucroy is still in a Brewers uniform. While your personal opinion might be this, the evidence contradicts it. If the best time to trade him was now, and those top tier packages were on the table, I really don't think Stearns would be holding onto him hoping for even more. The other part of this is there is just too much unknown by fans. So getting all nervous about it is rather silly because we truly don't know what is happening behind the scenes. But like I said, the evidence (he still being a Brewer) points to the offers not being all that great for his services. It just doesn't add up that Stearns would hold onto him in a rebuilding year(s) when he has some of the offers mentions in these threads.
