  1. Niewenhuis singles, Hill sac fly to score Carter and we are tied at 2 in the 4th.
  2. RYAN BRAAAAAUUUUUNNNNN!!!!! #5 on the season and this was a mash to right field.
  3. Peralta doing okay through 4 today. Let the confidence brew!
  4. He's pitching in his fifth game and Lucroy has caught two of those. He has a longer track record with Maldonado so it makes sense to use him, when it is convenient for Luc to rest up. I guess, why wouldn't you do it? Complain just to complain about something.
  5. Look at 5-9. I think they are putting Villar there to break up the auto outs. At least they seem to be mercifully ending the Flores era. Usually Carter is our 5. He is far from an auto-out. Walks and extra base hits is what that man does. I wish Santana was at 2 and 6. 2 vs. a lefty and 6 vs. a righty. Let Villar lead off as the switch hitter that gets on base.
  6. They are bent on Santana leading off. I'm not sure why, I mean I get that he's got a good on base clip but there are other guys that do as well where he can fill in the power spots.
  7. He seems to really struggle with pitch recognition. Had some hopes for the guy but it has been pretty ugly so far.
  8. Dumb thread. Briggs you could've made your point in another way. And don't give me this crap about blind support. It's a rebuilding year, yes, but people can disagree with movement while rebuilding too. But to go to the lengths of posts like this is flat out annoying. Does nothing. These boards are awesome but this stuff is disappointing.
  9. Well at least we have our streak stopper on the rubber today. On a more serious note, hopefully he can build on his last outing as it wasn't completely stinky.
  10. There are plenty of baseball fans that still love to watch Braun hit and love the fact that he could be a Brewer for life. He could be a figure in the next wave of talent coming up and be a key player for this team still.
  11. It would be a difficult decision but if Brauns' trade value is sky high at the deadline I can't see how a rebuilding team with so many holes could just deny the potential return. Can't forget Braun is in his age 33 year, he's not part of the future. If Big Papi can stay highly productive until 40, I'll take a shot on Braun. Especially when he could make the move to 1B with our depth being in the OF. Anderson doing his best to rile up the Wagner fans. Can have leading walks and full counts to batters on a constant basis.
  12. If Braun continues mashing like he's healthy I want him on our club. There's not many in the game that hit like him when he's healthy
  13. Anderson walked the line that inning but escaped with no harm. Hopefully our offense is ready to go today.
  14. We need him to go 3 for 4 tonight so it forces CC's hand into playing him. About the only way he'll continue to get the nod.
  15. It is going to be a rough offensive season if they can't figure out 6-8 in their lineup. In the NL you pretty much already have an automatic out at #9 and if 6-8 are only a step above that, scoring runs is going to be a huge challenge. We need a guy like Walsh to figure it out or to bring up Cecchini if he starts having a little more pop in his bat. Centerfield I am pretty much giving up on but 3B there might be hope with one of these guys.
  16. And remember that Davies is still only 23 years old. Whether he was a 6 foot 3 or the way he is, there will be a learning curve pitching in the MLB for only 40 innings so far.
  17. Davis doesn't have two dingers like Nottingham does!
  18. Don't forget Lind. He's been atrocious out in Seattle. Like many have stated, it is just too early to judge. Not enough out there to make a consensus on any of the trades. We may not have liked to include Wagner but we also don't know what it would have taken to get Diaz back from the trade. I like the fact that we received a pitcher who is steady and controllable. Wagner might be the same but if it got us Diaz, perfect.
  19. https://jkgeekly.com/portfolio/arrow-secrets-april-17-2015/ Scroll about half way down the page for explanation. Starling City might be in Wisconsin? I watch the show each week and I guess I don't pay attention enough.
  20. This is most likely the case but the fact that Jean is playing 2B right now opens the door that he could have coexisted in Milwaukee with Arcia eventually. The things that went against him in that department is that he was entering arby years where he was getting very expensive for the production he was providing and he just wasn't a good player for us for over 2 straight years. It was time. To add on the Wagner/Anderson deal. I agree. It is a toss up between those two really. Yeah Wagner is younger but we also received a guy to play 3B for us this season and a young stud. I'll take that with this trade any day. And no I'm not saying Hill is great but he has provided good defense and as JohnBriggs12 pointed out, he has had some real tough luck at the plate. His line drive % is up there and doesn't match up with his average. It'll even itself out, hopefully.
  21. Waaaaayyyy too early to even look at it. We are 20 games into the season. Also it has been mentioned several times that Jean needed to go. He might be an all start again but he still needed a fresh start somewhere else. It is what it is after that point.
