  1. Whew! Needed that inning. 5 total pitches gets 3 outs with 2 hits in the inning. You don't see that often.
  2. Peralta is either that pitcher that another organization needs to get their hands on or he's just never going to be that good. Either way I'm over him being in our rotation. You can't be a one pitch - pitcher in the MLB. All about change of speeds and location and he has neither.
  3. If Peralta does flop as a starter this year, do we try him out of the pen? He could be a hard throwing late inning guy.
  4. Can't keep giving guys one appearance and shuffling them out the door. Let the guy settle in a bit, or you never get a good look at anyone. Way to reactionary people.
  5. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/TR-bsTkkXVY/hqdefault.jpg You know they could be a lot worse.
  6. BREWERS WIN!!!! 2-2!!! Jeffress don't pump your first too hard. If you want to be a closer in this league you have to be able to throw strikes.
  7. BOOM!! Ryan Brauns first of the year puts the exclamation point on this game. He was talking to himself all the way around the bases. Wonder what what he was saying? 6-0!
  8. Villar didn't get the out but wow, what a hose from the 5.5 hole. Can understand why many want to give him a long leash at SS.
  9. Spot on. A lot are always ready to pounce when someone is thrown out but it provided a run for us in this situation
  10. Brewers just went 1 for 2 in stolen bases in the second. Another 20+ pitch inning and another run across the board. 4-0!
  11. I'm okay with Braun running. His baseball IQ is very high and is usually a very good base runner. Sometimes you just get caught.
  12. 22 pitch, 3-run 1st inning... I'll take that any day of the week!
  13. Braun trying to steal 3B costs them a run. A big blast by Carter gives them a 3-0 lead!!
  14. Scoootaahhhhh!!! Should've been a 2 run blast as it was ball four to Santana.
  15. I wish Walsh played CF. Would love to get his bat in the lineup.
  16. The Brewers organization is a big reason he's still in the major leagues. They allowed him to be Carlos.
  17. Feel bad for the guy. Fun to watch hit. Don't feel bad for the Cubs as an organization. I hope they lose every game much like the Cardinals.
  18. This may put me back in some people's eyes on these boards but I've been wondering... What the heck is a 3TO player?
  19. After watching a couple of clips from him I don't see a noticeable different other than his hands don't look as busy. Maybe that is is slight enough to get him more consistent. I did notice that both homers he hit were at his chest so he did a nice job recognizing mistakes and hammered them but his second homer was nothing more than a fly ball to left-center. A normal LF catches that ball but any hitter will take it.
  20. It sure would be nice to win this opener setting up Nelson and Jungmann an opportunity at a series win and getting us back to .500 on the season and at home. Either way I'm excited for tonight. Love the new scheduling with all these different match ups throughout the season.
  21. Why? We have a young prospect who people are very high on, a competent 3B at least defensively that we might be able to flip, and we haven't even got to see Anderson pitch a MLB season with the Brewers, a guy we have for a few more years. It was time for us to move on from Jean. He was that bad the last couple of seasons. Maybe he will have success elsewhere but it doesn't mean that it wasn't time.
  22. http://www.brewcrewball.com/2016/4/7/11381828/baseballs-worst-hitter-vs-right-handed-pitchers I thought this was a great read and it even talked about Scooter and how bad he was/is vs. lefties but smacked around Bumgarner.
  23. It is location dependent. I get the Brewers games with the sports pack living in Iowa as it is in my home location. But if I were to not buy the sports pack, I would only get one team. It is really dumb how they have it set up. Either way, I think I have it down now as to I can watch FSN North on the fox go app and I can watch it at home. This should give me every game they are on TV this year now. At least I'm hoping.
  24. And he's struck out 7 times and hasn't walked in 12 plate appearances with zero home runs. He'll end up hitting his homers if he doesn't tank too much to start the season where he doesn't get the playing time.
