  1. Well it's better than the $6.5 that people were throwing around. Not by much, but it is better. Wish it was like $4 mil though.
  2. As much of a fan I am of Aoki, unless we had a great option to backup CF (not sure Schaffer is the guy), then keeping Parra is the way to go. Lefty that can play all 3 positions is big for us. Just wish he got on base more.
  3. Even if we were to win 50 games, I'd still hope fans would come out for the games. Maybe that's unrealistic, but I'd hope we'd support the team no matter what. That being said, I'm hoping this team can add a couple of hidden gems still and then stay healthy to compete in 2015.
  4. It's hard not to get giddy about a guy like Johan but the reality is, there is such a small chance that he'd really come in and be worth it. I guess if you're a gambling man, throw some money at him and hope it sticks but otherwise it just is what it is.
  5. I'm not sure there's been a MLB the Show game where I have not traded for Tyler Clippard. As much as I'd want him on the Brewers, giving up Scotter would not be an option for that trade.
  6. Billy Beane at it again. When will it stop? I hope it doesn't... EXCITING!
  7. The problem with Ellis is that he will be 38 during the season, hit .180 last year and has barely played any 3B in his MLB career (67 innings, and hardly any of them coming recently) so he is basically Weeks minus being any good anymore. No thank you.
  8. I think having Matt Clark is an acceptable AAA option for if Lind is hurt. Signing someone like Carp to be in AAA then diminishes that guys playing time.
  9. Simple solution... Don't wash it. Ever.
  10. All shirts actually have a decent logo this year. Some are not my taste but they are pretty good shirts.
  11. Enjoyed the read. Seems like a good kid who wants to work hard at his profession. Sounds to me like there is a good possibility that he can play at the MLB level at some point as well. Also seems like a kid that doesn't fit the DM mold of power hitter so who knows.
  12. This is where you lost me. He's pitched better, stat wise, that any of our pitchers we have on our team and you want to call him our 5? Not adding up.
  13. Maybe we can trade them Lucroy for a bunch of top prospects?
  14. The more I've thought about it, the more I want to see Gomez get an opportunity. A highly touted guy that kinda flamed out getting another opportunity after making his way back? Sounds like a perfect player for the Brewers. Who knows... honestly, who knows what this guy could maybe be.
  15. I really, really like baseball. That is all.
  16. With the players we have today... 1/7/15 vs. RHP 1. Gennett 2. Braun 3. Lucroy 4. Lind 5. Gomez 6. Ramirez 7. Davis (sometimes Parra) 8. Segura Vs. LHP 1. Braun 2. Lucroy 3. Gomez 4. Ramirez 5. Davis 6. Gennett 7. Lind (or whatever RH guy(Jimenez, Rogers) we have if a tough lefty) 8. Segura
  17. I'm not exactly sure how much the commissioner has to do with the voting process and things like that but if he has a big part, I would love for him to make this his first change in the new position. It is completely ridiculous how this is voted on. I was listening to Mike & Mike this morning and they talked about a Cleveland sports writer who wouldn't vote for Pedro because he did not like his actions on the mound and because he dominated his Indians so badly that he could not vote for him. How insane is that? If I'm commish, I'm putting Pete Rose in their and changing the voting process so that guys like Bonds, Clemens, etc.. are getting in. Roids or not, they are some of the best that have ever played. Time to get over it and move on.
  18. I still think Cubs. Maddon likes to have options for lineups and he's definitely a guy that gives you plenty.
  19. If this was the deal, the Brewers should have been in on this too.
  20. Hate paying for parking when attending sporting events. Understand it, but hate it.
  21. I agree with this to some extent. I also think you have to keep catchers like Lucroy fresh because otherwise his bat will suffer quite a bit in the second half (and playoffs if we were to make them).
  22. I think I'd take Jeff Cirrillo as our utility backup still today.
  23. What's the hold up with saying who won the bid?
  24. Not even close to the same situation. This man is 30 and had an injury plagued season last year. Try again...
