Jackson Chourio Previous Ranking (1)
Hurts to say we don't have a sure fire phenom on our hands. But alas I have learned nothing is really close to a sure thing until a young player dominates AA. He still has time on his side just wish I was writing up about how his AA stats are close to phenoms like Acuna and Trout. Instead they are closer to Jose Tabata and Elvis Andrus. I still love how he can barrel the ball to all fields. I can and will still dream on that.Jeferson Quero Previous Ranking (2)
I consider myself modest but will pat myself on the back for believing the upside in the preseason. It is very rare for a prospect to walk more, strike out less, and increase their ISO when comparing A ball stats to AA stats. It is down right crazy the strides hes made offensively. I still think his pull heavy approach will be exploited in the majors and that limits his ceiling for me which is why I still have Chourio clearing him comfortably on this list.Sal Frelick Previous Ranking (3)
Ugh a tough season for Sal but that is just how injuries go sometimes. Also tough luck for the Brewers having him and Mitchell go down around the same time. I am not worried one bit about him. Jacob Misiorowski Previous Ranking (6)
Wow is all i have to say. He would be right there with Chourio on my list if he had better command and if he had a better changeup. Having said that what a find by the Brewers scouting staff. From JUCO to wowing scout at the future games in under a year is crazy.Tyler Black Previous Ranking (5)
I can't believe he has 41 stolen bases. His draft profile really sold him short on his power potential and his run potential. Robert Gasser Previous Ranking (8)
Carlos F Rodriguez Previous Rankings (4)
I admit I probably had him too high in the last ranking, I can sometimes fall victim to a snap shot in time fallacy. I still love his 3 pitch arsenal though but I do have to ponder how much the tacky ball helps his numbers.Luis Lara Previous Ranking (11)Abner Uribe Previous Ranking (9)Brock WilkenEric Brown Jr Previous Ranking (7)
Was hoping for better results at Wisconsin, it is too bad he got hurt recently.Yophery Rodriguez Previous Ranking (NR)
I try not to put latin american players in my top 20 till they actually play a game. Gilbert Lara taught me that lesson.Cooper PrattRobert Moore Previous Ranking (NR)
I hated this pick at the time it was made. I just did not like taking a player in the second round coming off a bad college year. Thus why he has not been in my rankings. But above average results with a little more pop than I thought has him on my list this time.Josh Knoth Previous Ranking (NR)
A nice bounce back year for Freddy. I know he is 24 but when you realize he lost 2020 and 2022 to behavior, covid, and injury you realize how little development time hes actually gotten.Luke Adams Previous Ranking (NR)Hendry Mendez Previous Ranking (10)
I want to put him higher but I don't know if he will ever have the power to hit at a corner outfield spot.Eric BitontiLogan Henderson Previous Ranking (18)
Below has to be a record on the amount of guys that dropped out after an update. I will say as good as the top of the Brewers system is, it is really shallow in the 16-30 range compared to some years back. I do hope and think the draft really helped with this along with the international signings of Yophery Rodriguez and Filippi Di Turi.
Dropped out:
Justin Jarvis (12) He just gives up too many homers for me.
Alexander Cornielle (13)
Daniel Guilarte (14) No power whatsoever
Quinton Low (15) Still love the arm talent just were too many guys who have performed that deserve to be ahead of him
Matthew Wood (16) A really bad start to High A has him off my list
Stiven Cruz (17)
Edwin Jimenez *(19)
Alexander Vallecillo (20)
