  1. Schoop's ABs just terrible, This is worse than Arcia bad ABs. And just like that, inning over...think Braun/Jesus had poor ABs still?
  2. It's clear homerism towards the Cubs. These guys have probably broadcasted at least 20 games for the Cubs this year and only 1 for the Brewers....vs the Cubs. IDK, think they've been pretty even-handed. Lots of love for us. If you're Yelich or Counsell. Chacin commentary is just because they came in to game thinking he'd give up 4 in 4IP. Every time I follow a game Cedeno pitches he does this, I assumed he had a 6 ERA and the other day after doing this I was shocked it was below 2
  3. It's clear homerism towards the Cubs. These guys have probably broadcasted at least 20 games for the Cubs this year and only 1 for the Brewers....vs the Cubs.
  4. ok. Chavez's last two strikes to Braun were top notch. So good that the ump called strike 1 to Jesus on a ball because it didn't move the catcher's mitt where it started. That's a tip to the cap of good pitching there by Chavez not poor hitting by Braun/Jesus. Chavez missed the 1st two pitches to Braun everything else 100%.
  5. Absolute garbage spewing from his mouth. He's been beating this drum since the 3rd inning. Hope Yelich hits HR and says nothing about how the Cubs should have gone to bullpen.
  6. Quintana is top notch this game locating all the pitches. Sequencing his pitches too so solid. It's the 91MPH that is making him hittable today. Throws 95+ it'd be filthy. Chacin is dealing but not equally locating to Quintana and the HR by Rizzo was a poor pitch choice on that sequence.
  7. Assuming Chc wins here. I guess the 1 game playoff to maybe force a 1 game WC game is best to see them out. Milw has to be better prepared for a multi pitcher game over two games vs. going your #1 or #2 pitcher and be burned for the Division series
  8. Historically speaking this just hasn't been the case. The MVP doesn't tend to just favor big market teams. Last year someone on the Marlins won, the year before someone on the Angels (west coast), the year before that a canadian, the year before that west coast, the year before that Pittsburgh etc. They certainly don't always get it right but storylines dictate things more than fanbase. Yelich is winning the storyline awards this year, especially if he manages the triple crown tomorrow. What I mean is #1 or #2. Yelich's competition this year is by a player who's been on National TV, that spotlight skewering a voter. Stanton for Miami, lets be real, he's this generation of Barry Bonds/Mark Mcquire before that season even started. Yelich isn't at that level. Not until this moment and beyond. Toodistracted to finish this thought more.
  9. Castellanos' AB was brutal. You read (like Schoop's) poor Brewer ABs here, but that was 3 swings at maybe a combined 40inches of pitches outside the zone! That was pitcher cringy PA there.
  10. Kneble great Curve to get Lugo, and now b2b Ks. This is great to get this from him this time of year
  11. Maybe these pundits on tv keep voicing Baez because, just how many Brewer games televised nationally? This vs. The Cubs? It's like a West Coast team to the East coast fans. just don't get how Yelich can lose with this stretch.
  12. He has 107 touches in 4 games (89 over the last 3 games) How much do you want them to use him? It wasn't about the lack of touches. It is about them being about as predictable as can be. 1st and 2nd down, Taylor run. We never get him the ball in space and we are taking him off the field on 3rd down more and more. There just has to be a better way to use him or a more efficient way to use him. That was what I was getting at. Not the number of touches. Have you watched RB #2/3 option this year? Its the worst I've seen in over 20years. Also stat earlier this season was Taylor-0rec last season. Maybe because on the next pass play to Taylor he absolutely bobbled and dropped the pass. So he's a 2down back with best offensive talent to score for your offense. Hand him the ball 1st/2nd downs is what they can only do. The Garbage after him dont leave WI with a running 3rd down&distance to go too often. The offensive threats this year aren't there.
  13. I'd assume Walker Buehler/bullpen. Believe hes been their 2nd best pitcher, save Kershaw for 3 if necessary series playing.
  14. The product is awful. Reviews that need indisputable evidence to overturn. Your an ump, make the call. I hate the calls that are wrong because it wasnt "clear enough" to overturn. Kickoff rule and the end of a kickoff return. How about move the "kickoffs" closer when they are a safety turned punt change of possession. Have punters punt from the 30? With a punt return required lineup. The current way. Oh team scored-2+min commercial break. Kickoff through the end zone. Commer ial break to begin drive at 25. If a guy actually tries to return a kick, the defense is practically at the 15 waiting to tackle inside the 10 on the poor guy. Hits. I am tired blatant offenses not called to only see a fine by the NFL midweek. The poor calls that then are called for clean hits. Its a 15yd penalty/auto 1st down. Game changing mistakes. And it is happening multipl times during a single game. Vs Washington it went their way twice. Ending GB's drive- that should jave continued. Continuing a drive for Washington that should have ended.
  15. I watched the first 3 games...well til mid 3rd quarter vs Washington. Im done for the year. Nfl lost me as a viewer. And these threads dealing with the Packers. I'll return when they put flags on QBs to no longer deal with what is a penalty/what isn't?
  16. Yelich .321BA Baez .327OB. This to me makes Yelich the easy pick. The end of the season he literally could be ahead of Baez's OBP in winning the BA title. Especially when as someone noted, these two were tied in the BA ASB?/as 2nd half began.
  17. 5 team race still for 4playoff spots. Even the Cubs haven't clinched yet, though that's a win away or Colorado loss away. Absolutely routing for the Pirates. We are 1.5 games behind not only division but #1 seed throughout playoffs. This is very realistic now to accomplish. Cubs vs should be close to 50/50 every game. We sweep Cardinals, we'll be much higher than 50/50 vs Detroit. 5 more to 95! We can run this table after tonights game and Hader giving up 3runs, to win after that? Team must be hungry for Division
  18. Why imagine that lineup with an eye towards 2019 when it could be done right now ? OH, I wish, but Arcia's there. He's rapidly overtaking Jim Gantner as my all-time LEAST favorite Brewer. Same reason - an offensive black hole. When he was demoted his avg was .197/.231/251-.482ops. Change in role, hes at .221/.257/291-548ops now for season. That's some small improvement, but improvement nonetheless. With how he plays defense, he only need a little more from the bat to have added value for the team. Right jow BWar has him at -.3war. Somebody somewhere is going to reach to him and improve his approach. He's young still but a guy out there I believe similar history would be Brandon Crawford. Who has had a spiked year sprinkled in here and there I believe with quite a positive value. Ill have to check, but I feel good stating that for now w/o checking.
  19. Something not mentioned since "bullpen" game was declared over Anderson start. But, at same time has been mention on Flaherty's solid outings vs us, What if the plan is Bullpen game throughout if competitive, but turning to Anderson to finish the game should it be fairly out of hand? That notation hes avg. 74pitches during this stretch would be something he could throw beyond in a game he's cleaning up vs managed to come away with a win? The bullpen then isnt exhausted as is worried here. While I like the thought this is a playoff preview if this strategy was used, I don't gather the info that well off this game with Jennings being your starter? Can you honestly tell me he'd be the WC game starter? Carpenter takes him deep, 4 runs given up in first inning, etc., the game is going to managed differently vs. The pregame plan.
  20. McCarthy genius at its best. Quick 3 step drops for you QB? No. Oh gaining yards rushing? 7yard dropbacks and Rodgers getting hit is such a better playcall.
  21. Happy that Yelich is exceeding everyone's expectations. Loved him in Miami said he was going to be high quality but, he's done better than even my higher expectations. The trade is win for the Brewers. MVP worthy season. There's nothing more you could ask for to get when trading for the player. Stay on the field the next few years is all that needs to be done even regressing to his avg seasons prior. It was a big cost and Im so surprised the years these 4 had. The pain in losing this potential group lessened quite a lot.
  22. I thought the voting came in 1st to 5th? Maybe it's a few more? But if I'm right, it'd only hurt Yelich if Cain received a higher vote on a particular ballot. I'd assume currently no one would vote Cain ahead of Yelich considering one it playing and the other is sitting out during this final month.
  23. He is essentially the same QB he was as a freshman which is troubling. He is still highly inaccurate and throws way too many INT's. He had one yesterday and should have had at least one more. There should be greater progression in his game by now but there isn't. At this point I would roll the dice with Coan. Yep bad. The intentional grounding/near pick 6 has to be up there for most embarrassing qb play. Somehow its like he thinks he can sit back in the pocket like Rodgers only he throws and its a duck falling woefully incomplete. Its been a long while but the dropoff after Taylor in talent for RB is alarming. Like if they were the #1 RB i dont think 1k yards is happening
