    I highly doubt Hiura sees any meaningful MLB action next year before September. You could have said the same for Freddy Peralta who's 2months older than Hiura. I'd expect Hiura to start next season at AAA and when time has passed to control him an extra season that he'd be called up any time from that moment so long as his OPS was above .750. Waiting til September? Huge mistake for team control reasons. You'd control him through 2025 whether youwaited 15games vs. 130+ games. Only way it wouldnt be a mistake is that he struggles and doesnt deserve the call up.

    1 game NFL is no where near 1 game MLB. So no, not equivalent. Theres less than 24 games to go equivalent to 2 NFL games left. You know where you stand and what should be more important. 1st place in division? Or 4th place west coast team. 2game swing in standings at end of the result. Oh but its not important. The difference of we can win division convo vs the convo that we cant. You understand there are 162 games in Major league baseball and 16 in the NFL right? You understand that a QB in the NFL affects the game more than a RF does in baseball right? You realize in baseball guys take days off quite often right? They do in in the NBA too. MVP player comparison sitting a game vs 1st place (and catchable) division leader with equivalent of 2 games to go. It shouldn't matter the position they play or that players take days off. Each team has 1 or 2 MVP types to that season. They dont start, youre pct to lose increases. Should I have said this compares to 2games left and Kenny Clark sitting the game? No, that isnt comparing MVP level player lost on the field. If we were Giants' fans and I made the comparison of Odell Beckam to Yelich. Is that now agreeable since hes the WR vs QB? There are 3games left vs the Cubs and if we were 2games back, we controlled our destiny. At 4games we dont even if we won out. Yelich could have played the Cubs game we won, and sit the Giants game we lost, we'd be in control of our destiny this morning while having the same record.

    Well, to bad he didnt return, but maybe the extra months of rehab vs performance will result in better return and far less relapse. Adding Nelsonto this team with Hiura next season really jolts expectations after this yyear's ability.

    Oh joy. Had a post 2 paragraphs long on my phone. Near done. Phone call, answer, boom gone. Oh well. I dont like the decision to not play Chc vs not playing yesterday. The equivalent of sitting Rodgers game 15 vs division leader to play game 16 vs the Browns. Poor management, and Yelich deserves some grief for it too. Since you know damn well Rodgers&management would get grief in scenario above.

    I thought 20 was a perfect countdow. We won today now its 19. LA/Arz/Col/Atlare playing eachother. Could be 18 within a matter of moments. 16 after tomorrow. Legit we will go down quick as these teams play eachother while weplay teams not in the running for the playoffs. Cards lost today!

    Peppers was very productive for them, but yes, was cut after 4 and came to GB. They must really believe in Trubisky. I wouldn't be totally shocked if the Bears challenge. The Packers rarely seem to stomp the Bears anyway. I remember a lot of close games with Rodgers at the helm. This should be a strong division. All four teams could be solid. Personally, though, I think the Packers are in the best position to be among the elite. The Vikings are due to regress defensively, and I'm not sold on Cousins being a top-flight QB. The Lions have good talent, but are seemingly always running in place. The Bears are a wild card. What does Cousins have to do to show top flight QB ability? 38tds/12ints 5k yards? He's done it 3seasons now with who for receivers? The Central is going to be a tough win for opponents top to bottom this year until injuries ruin someones season.

    There really has to be something to the ASG/leaks that kept Hader from warming up and pitching. Stupid loss on decisions. Makes no sense to save Hader for tomorrow with the Cubs series games lurking. Use him tomorrow, and hes likely available for 1 game then. Use him in the right moment here and he's going to be rested for Monday. I swear we did this earlier in the season where we used Hader/Jeffress/Kneble the game before Cubs series and I dont even think we were leading. Tied at the beginning. This is going to happen tomorrow now and you'll see Jennings/Lyles once again at bad time in the Cubs series.

    Gio Gonzalez=Jhoulys Chacin. If I remember them correctly over the last 5years or so in Fantasy. Maybe theres something DJ can work with that has Jhoulys a lil more consistent this year. Not upset with the loss. Probably #25 and later among team prospects.

    I now hope they get swept and still make the postseason. Because saying they can't lose this series to the Reds is crazy talk. What is the difference between getting swept today and getting swept in four games on June 21-24? We don't know what other teams are going to do the next month or ourselves. Now can we keep losing series? NO! We gotta start winning games, but these games mean just as much as the ones in September. We hold a postseason spot no matter what methodology you want to use. Saying we HAVE to win games when there are over 20+ to go doesn't make any sense. How we do against the Reds is just wins and losses, nothing more meaningful. It is the overall record that really matters. The Dodgers have the best run differential in the entire NL and aren't even in a postseason slot. Wins and losses...don't care against who for either as long as it is good enough for a postseason spot. +1 I literally saw people using the term "must win" back in June already. I get it, sometimes it seems that way. My guess is people are used to a football season where one game is huge. 30+ games is still a big chunk of the season left, no must win games yet. Yeah I was exicited that season we began really well had a big Lead after like 40games. A buddy of mine commented, essentially the Packers are 2-1 and leading 1 game over the 1-2 starts. Sigh. Thanks buzzkill. There are a lot of games still to go, but then again, in football terms, its only 2.

As well as less H2H on 2 game swings. Wow on what Arizona has left! No wonder the Dodgers are ahead of them for Playoff making pct.

    New week. 11 whittled down to 8 above .500 picture and goal seems to be90 wins. As close as this is, i think 2 teams finish with 89 wins. 1 stumbles to 85 with H2H losses. This is going down to the final game of Regular Season to decide. I do feel Milw has one of the easier looking schedules to get to 90. Tbh, youre kinda rooting for the current division leaders to win the H2Hs of the wild card contenders. Arizona/Atlanta. Those two take care of business we'll get in much easier.

    Based on last off season and given his age at the end of his current contract, are you sure? I'd guess this upcoming FA would be the real gauge on the kind of money Yelich may be looking at. FA growth in money 4years from now may make 25million feel like 18mil today. Which on that idea, Yelich's camp is testing FA. Already seen an extension. On the end of topic's question- 2020 during the season. You'll have more data on him, value on an offer, what your minors replacements look like if you trade him or when losing him end of contract. Right now, it's too early to consider this from both ends' perspective.

    Glasnow in 5 games played for Tampa has Archer prime numbers going. Hes acontrol issue guy in control for them thus far. Meadows has 7HRs in AAA since trade. This has always been my argument on trading away two good prospects for a guy like Archer. Archer on point would add a win maybe two. Glasnow/Meadows starting next season will likely add 5-6 for Tampa over Archer. The upgrade isnt worth it. If Nelson were healthy, I'd have given him up for Glasnow/Meadows. W/o ptbnl.

    I do find it crazy on the Nationals end. The Dodgers lost the #1&2 prospects for the years of two years ago early in the year. That was probably a 9-10 game loss right there vs. The Replacements. Nationals with Scherzer, Harper, Strasburg, Murphy, etc just what a disappointment for that Franchise with the Godly talent they had to build around this decade.

    Looked up the Archer trade, Glasnow and Meadows, ptbnl. Archer's yearly regression continued, huge mistake on Pitts. And super glad we avoided the Archer hype. Can we please have an easy game and win this 10-2?

    As of this posting the Dodgers are 3.5 games back of Arizona for the division. 13 games of last 30 vs. Col or Arizona. Who play eachother 7 more times this season. So, that essentially can be determined as they are 0 games behind Arizona at this moment. You can't sell when you are this close within the division where h2hs are 2 game swings. If they lost the next 5 then I suppose at the deadline for Aug 31st they could part with a guy like Machado. Only thing is the next 4 of those 5 are again SD and Tex a combined 55 games below .500. And then that 5th game is against Arizona where a win is two game swing making isvery unlikely to move on from the playoff race.

    At this point, his stats are saying he's not worth a raise. He'll be non-tendered. Garnering some steam rolling downhill as current most hated move done by the franchise. Sogard performed better
