Why do this? #1 prospect. Nobody. The question is who of Weimer, Mitchell, and Frelick are you trading. That's going to happen to create a spot on roster for him in OF. Every game that passes with Frelick in the minors, after this road trip, I assume it will be him. Chourio is like the Brewers franchise version to the Bucks with Giannis now in his 2nd season. Obscure. Hits the ground running. Accolade on talent. Why trade him for a star with a large contract? Like for a second I thought about Julio Rodriguez but basically that's just Chourio 2 seasons earlier. Ugh, now I suppose being in win now that is who I'd trade him for. I'd send Seattle anyone else they asked for with Yelich and make extending Woodruff or Burnes with the money opened up long term.

I believe I read somewhere like Sheets at 3? But never a 1 or 2. Vaughn may have also been 3. There were two names. Arcia got as high as 6. Which he's out to a good start this season gw hit the other night. He looks thicker which I think was where projections thought he'd quickly fill out and produce earlier. So now maybe he's about to be a good 3WAR+ player for the Braves.

Even worse in that scenario if the bullpen is dead 4 days from today and needs that from BW. Then what if he doesn't make it through 4?

I get that. The shuttle crew. Just not a big fan taking the ball out of Ace #2s hands vs the preseason pick to win the division rival. Each game is worth 2games in the standings difference depending on its outcome. Shouldn't be playing the shuttle crew card this early in to this game.

Extension was signed after the injury in that following offseason and before seeing him play after the injury. Gross deal. Never made sense.

So potentially kill your bullpen vs Cardinals at home go on the road for 10games in 10 days? Should be the opposite. Push Woodruff through 100 pitches. When we get to Saturday and hear the bullpen is full of dead arms with 4 games to go, remember this moment.

What a save by O'Neil to not take an RBI ball 4 and get 3td out. Pretty bad last 6 outs I think changing this series.

That terrible unless the worst is happening and he's injured. You gotta pitch 9innings all 3 games. Too early to overwork the bullpen this series trying to big brain.

Contreras had #7 but instead double play. I'm not sure on Tellez-Contreras back to back. Lot of double play grounders going to happen from your 4/5 hitters.

Big pet peeve. Grounding out on 1st pitch leading off to somebody who has walked more than 1 batter per inning. Gotta take that 1st pitch. Flaherty gets 6IP now what a loss, should have put at least 3innings on the bullpen.

It's taking 7-8 years to sign Woodruff through his age 39+40 season. It'll be over 220Mil. You statement he's older probably won't get a mega contract. That's a mega contract and I'm likely low balling the estimate. An extension for 4 years with option would be the not mega contract.

You're kidding yourself if Woody has another fantastic season, that he'd not just have a Free Agent contract pay him til he was 39/40. Back to the game.

Walker's season may project what kind of season Chourio might have next year. Cards fans would probably put him top 30-40 batter in all of baseball right now. Woodruff with good numbers thus far against Goldy and Arenado. Good sign this should be a win today.

GL finding a simulation where that outcome is 90+ wins. It'd probably start with getting swept by the Cardinals, and be .500 the rest of the season. Though Ashby may pitch a full month vs likely 0 this season.

I think part of the original loser take is actually starting Yelich over Mitchell coming off a 2HR game. Miller is RH and the original comment contained started with starting this LH but not that LH. Which I agree fully. Mitchell is the much better defender and just had 2HRs. Yelich has 1 double on the season with 4 singles and 9ks in 24Pas prior to game start. Mitchell had the 2HRs a string of getting on base 2 times 3 straight games. That included a triple. Counsell has done thos so many times like a robot. Yelich&Adames no platoon. Everybody else who has a HR or 2HR game the day before, and great at bats for 2 or more games? Yeah he's on the wrong side of the platoon for SP he's gotta be benched today. Nevermind the 4 of last 5 games Yelich or Adames had nothing but terrible PAs. They can face the same side SP today.

Redemption young rookie! Great AB too! Sweeeeeeep! You shouldn't score 6runs vs Burnes and lose. Those opportunities should be few and far between lets hope. Man the Brewers would be 6-0 if they weren't so unlucky with how the Ump called the strike zone vastly in Chicago's favor.

Guy really said imagine if a deep fly ball out actually went out. Braves probably had 2 of those same deep fly outs in the game. Every team's fans who don't win the WS or make the playoffs are going to feel they are the unluckily team in baseball. Only small markets should be able to lay the claim as unlucky when having a great team that season. Markets like StL and bigger are lucky they can sign top tier FAs to their team or take on large contracts and not blink.
