40man situation made Perkins the obvious choice. I see Frelick has a bad thumb. Wonder if that's been a thing longer than the past day bothering him and a partial reason why he's off to a slower start. Didn't Turang get a few OF starts in OF past year? Move Brosseau to 2b and Anderson back to 3b if ever needed. Using Miller at LF today is either an indication they view him better in the OF or value Turangs 2b defense more.

Perkins is the OF on the 40man. If not him, anyone not on 40man called up from minors would be kicking him off it.

Doubt it. He's not on 40man until and Wiemer can play CF. May just be Anderson LF and Brosseau 3b.

Yeah I guess bragging was wrong word choice. He's had 1 game started since 2019. And I think bullpen projection was his pre-draft expectation just as a backup if the attempt to stay starting didn't work out. I'd be surprised if Milw had any intention to ramp him up to be a starter. Hopefully bullpen can nail down a tie game.

So much for making Hilberts pitch count high early. Just 15pitches last 2 innings combined. He could pitch 7 with matching that fear in 6&7.

Mitchell has been bad called 3 times this game. Should have had a walk 1st AB. And yikes has 2 great takes both called strikes. I feel he's had the most bad ump calls this year for any Brewer and it's not even close.

I seen the name and wondered what happened, think a number of posters thought the Crew might pick him or projections were Brewers to pick him. If he has options what a possible steal for the season. -
I'll keep suggesting this but Christian Yelich himself. I think if he got right at the plate he's right on that type of player. He may be just a little better defensively at his age but he ks a little more than Yeli did at his age. But that could be due the pitching achievements with spin and velocity that wasn't where it's at 9 years ago.

I'd be surprised if he made his next start. How close is a pec strain from a pec tear? The tear is a 2+month injury if not more I believe in sports. Would hate to have him go out to make his next start go less than 2IP and be put on the shelf with the injury worsened. Just going to need to understand were short on SP and try their best from auto losing every 5th day. Up 5Games on Cards now 6-9 or 7-8 over next 15games will still keep the team at least 2 games within St Louis.
