  1. Just peaked over to see game is tonight vs ASU and seeing ASU's QB stats similar to Mertz, with the defense Badgers have would have to think WI dominates. You know so long as Mertz doesn't have a poor game.
  2. Whos avg rushes per game is down 2 attempts or 25% per game and nearly half the yards per attempt than last season. The mentality is changing already. Throw the ball vs run with it. You've also got defenses better gameplanning to not give him the freedom to run.
  3. Dallas' Defense has 24Ints this season. We have Rodgers. Nothing to worry about vs Dallas. They were 7-4 are on not only a 3game win streak but a 4 turnovers caused streak vs Saints, WFT, and Giants. The QB quality has nothing to talk about. Now that doesn't mean Murray and Cards beat Dallas him being the Star QB. Murray has his worts when he doesn't use his legs. Aging is taking that weapon slowly away from him. It makes his threat lessened and in Dallas' favor, as it worked for us.
  4. I never really got the OL who would move to point a defender had crossed the neutral zone. As I feel like 1/4 to 1/3 the time the refs call out a false start instead. Watching the lineman today vs the 90s I feel they are allowed so much moving presnap than 20-30years ago. Anyway Defensive guy is allowed to cross the zone and go back in position. Think about when they are moving to get back onside, that any split second snap takes momentum he wants in the wrong direction. Great for a rush at him and great for pass protection.
  5. Brady has an astounding 161 more pass attempts than Rodgers. Talking 10+per game. On the average yards per attempt Rodgers is ahead 7.9 to 7.2. When adjusted(off profootballreference) Brady's adjusts to 7.6 while Rodgers' goes to 8.9.and obviously ARod has the better TD-Int ratio. While GB has more rushing yards as a Team, Tampa has the RB with the most yards. So I hope this doesn't come down to higher yards and TDs while less efficient and less wins on season in Bradys favor.
  6. Something needs to be said on Rodgers MVP case that the offense is having long long drives this season running the clock and giving him less plays to put up big yardage. I don't know how many pass attempts he had yesterday but certainly not the 48 or so Brady took. When comparing the stats their needs to be some NBA type Per stat(I know Im not fully right but NBA fan would know)that Giannis is always atop off. I'd find it tough to believe Brady would be ahead of Rodgers in that stat.
  7. The only counter argument i can make is the Baltimore defense has just held the Packers to a short field fg and a 3 and out while the Packers D got shredded on back to back TD drives. If Baltimore wins the coin toss they might match down and win it. They have Justin Tucker. Take it to OT. Especially having the momentum, home crowd, and a tired GB defense.
  8. I'm firmly convinced Kenny Clark is the most valuable player on D. He's the key to the middle of the defense that allows Gary and Smith to work on the edges and hold the middle on the run game. It may not be rushing yards for Huntley, but easy escape from a rush and some chunks of passing yards. I'm certain Huntley got a 1st down around Gary's edge on 1 occasion.
  9. For the crap thrown at Savage today, Gary had a worse game. Dont think he stayed home on any passing down I seen. Didnt matter how many times Huntley or an offensive playcall exposed his poor gameplay, Gary just kept leaving one side of the field an oasis for Huntley. Almost blew a 14pt lead with possession inside the 35 and under 6? Min to go. Dillon needed to finish this game and they had Jones out there on that drive. Positive end felt like we didn't lose anybody today, got a Division clinching win on the road. Rodgers will set the TD record in GB on Christmas. MVS had a great game, hard to not believe we dont finish with 3rd straight 13Win season. I imagine a few newer franchises haven't had 3 13 win seasons.
  10. Okay. Huntley cant run a 2min O. Finally a chink on his start this game. Thpugh that sideline pass was just off from perfect
  11. Best QB GB has faced this year? Wow this kid is extremely good.
  12. Now imagine of you added the muff that was taken away from penalty. Or a Kickoff fumble returned for a TD vs play called dead.
  13. Yeah no. Yesterday's game is worse. The rule that saved a TD is amazing. As for addressing this issue, it doesn't help when Erlin gets injured. Rodgers who returned kicks in college can't seem to do this today. Cobb has fumbled when you try the just get somebody to fair catch route. Malik Taylor knows he's bad at Football. And his bad decision making is just him trying to make a play to have any career beyond GB. Just can't help himself from being bad. Feels like every returner gets injured for GB and the do this carousel of next in line that is worse than the last. Crosby meanwhile yeah its a swan song for his career. But him not kicking a ball for touch backs on a crisp December night should be expected. So give him a break on that part. Out of Bounds kickoffs though is uncalled for. The 97yd punt return, that was a bad catch yet genius because GBs coverage unit plays soft. Let up for 2seconds as typically that play is dead after fair caught. Somehow (planned? Or better coached in practice) the Bears blockers got in position during that soft let up by GBs Defenders, and walled them all off beautifully. I'm thinking of this play like the StL Cardinals unwritten rules. GB STs expected a fair catch. The kick was less than 50 yards right? You're (unwritten rule) supposed to fair catch inside the 10 or not even catch it at all. Got exposed by that attitude. The 2nd half up until the end STs looked better than normal. Hopefully we see better STs from here on out due to how awful they were in this game. Was this game maybe Rodgers best of the season? The accuracy and decision making? He tear-dropped perfectly teeny window throws at least 3 likely 4times that nobody does. Found his check-downs all but maybe once imo leading to Lewis having a big game. We may long for Alexander to return, but without a doubt the MVP for this defense this season is Kenny Clark. This should be legendary stuff he's doing for GB at Nose Tackle. Stuff other teams have legendary players do but not GB. He doesn't make mistakes. He makes huge plays that you don't see athletically from Nose Tackles. It's a shame this team's injuries because so many guys on this team when on the field feel pro-Bowl worthy. If this group that could get healthy returns Its the favorite for the SB by 10pts. Go Pack Go
  14. Habit. He was trying to get a jump offside for a free attempt at a TD.
  15. Let's be positive here. I'll see that fumbled Kickoff and add recovered and returned for a Bear TD.
  16. 4TDs away from covering the spread. Yeah ST coach can go be fired. Because after a bye week facing your division rival. Have given the Bears 2TDs of field position an actual TD.
  17. Hard to know what happened, nfl app was mid commercial and then the end of the replay. Thats a chop block offensively so hows there no penalty on defense?
  18. Hmm LT #3 vs a guy commented may become the Bears single season sack record? How can the spread be this high? Looking like a game we may lpse straight up
  19. First time watching the video replay I immediately seen that. It was blatant since there was no reason for the Viking player to remain by Claypool except to disrupt him getting the ball back to the ref and then he swipes the ball out of Claypools hand. Truth though it cost them the chance to get a chance to just tie the game. It's not like it was inside the 3yard line where realistic ability to score.
  20. Wow. Just wow. In 2015 I wanted Whitley or Allard with our pick and both went just before we picked. This could honestly turn out with change of scenery or direction. Definitely believed he was a shoe-in 30HR bat. Walks above 10pct but KS close to 33pct? Sorta kinda Grisham stuff right? prior to it clicking. Really amazed we get him on a minors contract. Doesn't need much improvement to change that batting line. Little more contact and HR production career .750OPS in minors turns to 800 plus quick. So this is MLBs prospect writeup in 2019 on Whitley while being #27/30 on their prospect list. The wishful late bloom thinking is warranted. 27 Garrett Whitley OF, Durham Bulls, AAA Tampa Bay Rays Bio Stats AGE 24 BATS R DOB 03/13/1997 THROWS R HT 6' 1" DRAFTED 2015, 1st (13) - TB WT 195 Scouting grades: Hit: 40 | Power: 50 | Run: 60 | Arm: 55 | Field: 50 | Overall: 45 The Rays drafted Whitley with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2015, making him the first player to ever be drafted out of Niskayuna (N.Y.) High. The rawness associated with such a distinction was obvious during his first two seasons, when Whitley appeared behind the talent curve at two lower levels before finishing 2016 on a high note. That success carried over into Whitley's full-season debut, when he made significant gains in all facets of the game as a member of Class A Bowling Green. He appeared poised for a breakout campaign in 2018, but instead suffered a torn right labrum during Spring Training which required surgery, effectively ending Whitley's season before it began. Whitley's speed is his best tool, grading as a legitimate plus. He let his tools play in the Midwest League in 2017 and saw his bat and power blossom as a result en route to a career-high 13 home runs. What's more, Whitley was able to start tapping into his power without detracting from his patient approach and feel to hit. Whitley's on-base skills fuel his ability to impact games with his speed, and he had swiped 21 bags in back-to-back years before losing all of 2018 to injury. Defensively, Whitley's athleticism and wheels give him a chance to remain in center field. He showed above-average arm strength before getting hurt, but it's yet to be seen just how much the injury has impacted his throwing ability, as he only resumed throwing in August. The Rays love his makeup and believe he has both the maturity and mental tools to be successful, though even they admit that he's now behind the development curve.
  21. Sorta the phrase stopgap? We have those 1st rd OF picks that could(small pct) progress on to the team come Sept 1st. But may need in to 2023 before inserting themselves in the lineup. Lets just remember a part of this trade is due to Garcia being able to opt out. Fully believe Bradley and Garcia were targeted to be the stopgaps. Also Bradley's move came post 2020 knowledge of a Cain opt-out, that I think was protection to the 2021 Cain. We are almost done with 2/3rds of the expensive OFs when these guys in the minors make it to the team. Taylor has a backup at CF covered but doesn't have the middle of order thump Renfroe replaces what Garcia fortunately brought in 2021. The fact that Stearns may be able to remove the cost of Bradley's buyout with a non-tender potential to Renfroe in 2023 if all comes together? Cain will be gone. That could grant an ability to extend the best deal among Woodruff, Burnes, Adames, Urias or to a FA signing is the genius on the move. The ability to allocate the money in to a more deserving player.
  22. Imagine a 15-1 season holds this distinction in the SB Era. The Packers beat the Lions on November 24th to go 11-0 that year. The Lions (with the 2nd best record in the division) went to 7-4 with the loss so they still would not have clinched. The Packers had a bye and then went 12-0 on Dec 4th and the Lions lost to go to 7-5. That would have clinched so it looks like they clinched a week sooner that year. He asked a playoff spot so I believe at 11-0 they had. I looked back and that actually is their only 15-1 season. Felt like in late 90s we would have had 1 but 13-3 seasons.
  23. Imagine a 15-1 season holds this distinction in the SB Era.
  24. One of the things that contributes to Renfroe's poor BABIP is that he's a guy that bats vs a shift while having a higher Launch Angle. We'll have to see how the NL Central employs the shift as often as he's faced or not.
  25. Not that this would happen, but in regards to draft, tanking,, and competitive balance: Set it up so the teams that receive competitive balance draft in top 10 via their record. With the last 5 then alternating with big market losing records 11-20. The last 10 are then ordered by records amongst large markets. You would remove a big market from ever seeing a top 10 pick. Then you do 2nd round and beyond by worst records the remainder of the draft. There isn't a competitive balance round. There would be a payroll floor for the 15teams that are competitive balance to receive these higher draft picks. With penalty to being given a worse 1st rd pick should payroll not reach the floor. (Say they fall in line with large markets and the w/l to draft position) Another Incentive to win could be teams with winning records that next draft gain an extra year of the player they draft in 1st round. They're going to reduce it to 5 as rumor, but instead winning record keeps that player at 6. This would factor in the draft allotment games played by clubs as a 2nd rd pick would not have a 6th year potential, so teams draft top players more frequently vs drafting a 40s/50s rank to draft a top 30s rank the following rounds. There again is your incentive to put out a winning team by spending to win.
