  1. I'm a Black Sheep in life. What did it take 1? Day after my post for Bahktiari to ruin an ACL?. I just can't have nice things.
  2. Team has plenty of catchers. Catchers stink. Don't waste prospect capitol on catchers. Why is this so hard to understand? Buster Posey's WAR peaked at 28. Downhill from there. Contreras will be 29 next season. And his downhill began in 2020. What is it with trying to corner the market on catchers? They dont ever play 150+games in a season. The highs to lows are rapid. Wear and tear. Its the same thing with drafts. Kyle Schwarber was a premium bat catcher that never was. Why give up future pieces at a position team has aplenty of? We still need 1b, SS, 3B improvements over a 2? year rental. And yes I did say SS because Arcia's bat is questionable and Urias' bat thus far is too. Not to mention defense not up to snuff. It's not like the minors is overflowing with top 50-100 prospects to possibly use at a deadline trade. Using however many top 12 propects to entice the Cubs to trade to us ruins that future usage. And last, it's the Cubs. Don't help them.
  3. And yet 2 teams can make the playoffs. Make a mockery of the added playoff teams. Tank and get in. Draft high. Maybe luck in upset the Padres or Dodgers in a 3 game series. Seriously want to root for 70s win division winner and wild card team like the NFC East being won at 6 or 7wins. Just in time to bargain a new CBA.
  4. I assume 30yards of that total is counted on that TD run when a db dove and slapped his legs as Dillon broke the line of scrimmage. He did have a 2nd defender misjudge his speed and do the same 10yards later. I agree with Homer's sentiment some very good holes to run thrpugh initial contact on his way by. Clearly the field went the way of Packers favor. Guess I didnt portend that the other team would struggle offensively when they're a running team. I also didn't know that Henry pretty much doesn't play 3rd down it seemed all game. 3rd and 3 or 4 he was immediately running to sideline. What a threat to be removed on a down and distance he likely exceeds on a per carry average, and removes play action from defensive mind-set[the Tannehill 45yd YD) Most shocking thing to me was after Tonyan's pro-bowl Sub, he didn't have any TD target throws from Rodgers. I can only think of 1 reception by Tonyan. Stay Healthy. Linsley returned with an excellent game aside from the bad snap exchange. We are a very healthy team right now and that has to leave this team as your #NFC team. Clinch next week and a bye week will be such a huge advantage moving forward.
  5. Probably built in to the next covid package that is about to be passed.
  6. Padres are also in on Ha-Seong Kim who apparently has 5years deals thrown his way. Ss-3b. Aggressive
  7. Tennessee not keeping Henry on the field ruined the positive plays they had going. Other RB not even trying to sell a play-action. If you're going fpr it on 4th down, just keep feeding Henry. Just poor call playing. So we have at least a tie for 1st in NFC. Dillon's game makes one feel better hosting in Jan.
  8. I wonder on Michaels winning a bet or few by getting 69sec left on the clock comment in there rather than min-9sec.
  9. That was what 35yards? 40 on the missed call. Yikes. Glad to see Jones back at RB.
  10. I think direction on the field dictated the go for two and vice versa kicking the xp. It's actually amazing with down wind Titans punted. I think Crosby's miss baited the coach to that net 12yd punt.
  11. So basically this is all about the Love pick then? You couch it in being the overall draft and deride Dillon's production so far, but your only examples where they could have actually could have taken an immediate contributor are with the Love pick. Also, haven't Ravens fans been complaining that Queen's primary skill so far seems to be getting to the wrong place very quickly? If you disagree with the philosophy that led to the Love pick, fine, there are a lot of good arguments to be made on both sides of that one. My point is that absent that debate, a combination of talent and circumstance made it unlikely that the Packers were going to be significantly improved by the rest of this draft class no matter which positions they selected. Glossed over the fact you asked on after the Dillon pick as I was focused on Brew4U's comments. About Love and Dillon, if we go the route where we pick Claypool at our pick 30, I would have the 4th to move up and take somebody higher than Dillon's pick. Or taking someone higher than Deguara with it. Or may e it'd just he Love but not costing the team a 4th. 2 picks used for somebody to stand on sidelines inactive watch and learn. Rodgers had 4years still tied to GB. Year 1 nearly complete 2picks-0snaps. Never forget a 4th rd pick is not on GBs roster to trade up for Love. Rather than huge reach by about all pre-draft resources you can find on Deguara that pick could have been used there on him.
  12. Congrats to the Vikings who had the chance to draft Jefferson because either they were worse than the Packers last year or because their previous star receiver forced his way out of town, I can’t remember which. Of the 36 rookie starters, 17 were gone before the Packers picked. By the time Dillon, who you mentioned, was picked, 10 were left, almost exclusively safeties and interior offensive linemen. Who that was available when Dillon was picked would have increased the Packers’ chance of winning the Super Bowl this year even .1%? Maybe Chinn? Onwenu has been good, but would he have gotten more playing time than Runyan has? It turns out there weren’t that many win-now options available. #1 is the WR I wished for at the original pick. Chase Claypool. When moved up I assumed it was for Patrick Queen. My response is asking Brew4u on doing nothing in the draft to improve from last season. What pick from the draft has improved GB from 2019? Trying to through crow on people who complained about the selection is laughable because there isnt a position improved from 2019 by the draft for immediate impact. Last season it was Savage and Jenkins immediately improving the team from 2018 positions. Gary is coming around and you can say the draft should garnish an A already. Ill wait for a response in the 2020 class improving GB at all this year from last year.
  13. I don’t know how true this is. Most “experts” picked the Vikings to win the North. A ton complained about after our draft about how we did nothing to improve from last season. Let’s just put it this way, there are a lot of people that won’t own up to their lousy predictions. Name the improvements to the Packers from 2020 draft to the 2020 team? So far the biggest I would say is udfa Barnes. So still stands the draft class has not improved the 2020 team. AJ Dillon managed 5 snaps on offense after Williams left. 1 rush. That's not exactly showing much confidence by MLF towards using him. The impact Justin Jefferson has made for the Vikings his rookie year is I dont know 20? 40? 50? times more impact than GB's 2020 draft class on the 2020 team. Argument still immensely valid.
  14. 4 year contracts are essentially buying out the arbitration years. Not "Extending" what I consider beyond a team's control of a player. Now certainly buying out arb years is extending his 1year contract. But my idea on extending tacks on FA years. In the argument for Buehler that was 18mil end of team control and 28mil 1 FA year. If we don't extend him to a FA year/option, then year to year has to be your best interest moving forward. All it takes is one TJ or shoulder/elbow injury to affect the 4years, year to year. Instead of a say 5, 10, 16, 23 trend line you might pause 10 or 16 and not see 23. May look like 5/10/10/16 instead or 5/10/16/16. Extreme sample is 54mil heathy y2y. You're other 2 look like 41 or 47mil. So a buyout extension ought to fill 4/38-42 to lock down worst case for Woodruff scenario when looking for cost savings. Well I looked up arb range for David Price whom for whatever reason I remembered his last arb for super 2 to be much higher than what it was. I knew it was a record but I thought it was in range of 23-27mil but its actually below 20 at 19.75mil. So my arb guesses are offbase. Looks on MLBTR the model is 2.3-4.5 for this year. Middle would be 3.4. Much lower starting point than 5 I was thinking he was around. So basically ignore my previous number guessing. Get back to this another time.

  16. Good luck signing Woodruff to an extension. His best interest is waiting til the new CBA is complete. This is a guy that's trending in the 20+mil maybe even 30mil a year in FA. Now that hes reached Super 2 he's getting life changing money already now. A TJ wont stop him from a 5-7mil starting point the following year's Arb. He's big time from here on out. If he doesnt have Boros as his agent that will likely be his next step. Woodruff is Lance Lynnx2. Better and value adjust accordingly. Add a 1 before the 8 and then you may be enticing him to sign an extension 18.5mil per year 2 years after team control.
  17. If Gallo only wants to play in OF, then it's a huge no. Team has large amounts of money spent on 3 OFs already. Prospect capitol and Payroll capitol needs to fill needs not luxuries.
  18. Part of my comment is the reasoning that typically or always a rumor on an addition to the team is a ML player addition. If its prospects it's because were trading away 1 of the Brewers players. So should this be a minor league or even MLB draft/International thread topic vs Transaction/rumor thread?
  19. Am I missing something here? 187 games over "4" seasons.826 OPS. This isn't somebody being inserted in to a ML lineup from day 1 or maybe even year 1 right? Now if this is just signing a guy to go in to our minors for 2-4years and get called up to the majors when proved belongs, then sure. What's it take 500k-1.5mil against your international funds?
  20. Worse than the Tampa game? Sheesh, no offense, but that sounds a tad entitled. Winning in the NFL, even against poor teams, is tough. Bear in mind, I didn't find an avenue to watch this game until Carolina took their 3rd possession inside GB territory. So I watched maybe 135 yards of offense with what felt like more 3 and outs than 1st downs and Carolina out scoring us 13-10. The only player that I seen on offense make a I'm a better than you play was Dillon's run. Everybody else on the field on offense looked like they weren't any better. I can think of 1 MVS target. What an ugly game by him after last week. Defensively, the secondary(sans King) was really good. 1 big play given up on the missed tackle that happens when you sandwich a guy that actually keeps him fully upright. So many passes broken up, I dont remember a game with that many. I just don't know. Far too many short throws, don't recall much misdirection presnap, just laid down and quit. Offensive playcalling, hurry up,urgency, wanting it more.
  21. Blah. Won the 1st quarter, lost the rest of the game. Any playoff team beats this team when this type of play happens. Rodgers lost the MVP tonight. Its out of his hands. Mahomes has to lose it now to bring Rodgers back just in the conversation. Feels worse than the TB game and we won.
  22. Rodgers clearly upset with the WRs, Im certain both Adams throws were just a Dude I need you to wake up tosses and help me. Adams on both didnt look ready to put a move after the catch. Runyan needs to get in at guard and Taylor out. But too late now. I suppose Williams is hurt? Havent seen him on field long time. Dillon gets 1 run goes what 19? Bench kid youre a solution, I didnt gameplan that nor can I adjust.
  23. We need 1 offensive player to step up and make a play longer than 12yards to break this funk.
  24. Has Tonyan been targeted once since the 2nd TD? Playaction something. Is this another outcoached game? Only it began 2nd quarter vs 2nd half? Really upset with amount of passes called for how weak they've been. Playing in a 5 yard box.
  25. Sadly I can't find his platoon splits in the minors prior to 2019 to be sure of a platoon need. If so he's useful to us and should be worth less return on a trade. He has 2 options. Maybe mix him in with Asdrubal Cabrera and you're spreading 1b/3b among Cabrera, Beaty, Urias, and Vogelbach. Giving Urias SS or 2b games mixed in as well.
