  1. Seeing the RH relievers and LH relievers, Kneble and Claudio lead both lists in expected price. So yeah probably non-tendered.
  2. Understand the dynamics of this. Kiermaier and Garcia have basically the same contract. Garcia may bring more offense but Kiermaier has more value defensively. So Hader-Snell swap is a poor trade valuing a RP and SP when cost to production can be met more easily by Snell than Hader. Brewers would have to part with Mitchell, a SP prospect and seeing how promising Hedbert Perez sounds him as well. Every weakness Milw had last season-Offense is worse and the minors are weakened to produce a needed bat. Add the strongest trade asset team has to get a bat is gone as well in this deal. Tampa won't do this without the highest regarded Milw prospects included.(and or 4-8mil) payroll for Garcia. Hard to understand the dynamics when you start off with an error in saying that Garcia and Kiermaier have the same contracts. The cost for Tampa and Milw is virtually the same. Garcia's buyout makes his total just under 13mil 1 year from now. Now if Tampa picks up Garcia's option while Milw doesn't pick up Kiermaier's it's about 1mil difference on cost. That is why I'm calling it virtually same. Tampa will do a whole better than this offer while reducing their payroll.

  4. Well, I would guess he's playing the long game. last pick of 3rd round this year signed a 4yr contract at close to 4.5mil the 2nd pick of the 6th round signed for 3.5mil over 4 years. With the last pick of rd 6 signing for 3.42mil. Final pick overall made 3,370,490. Looking at a grand total of 1.129mil over 4 years being picked end of 3rd round or being Mr. Irrelevant. He gets to Free Agency though 1 year quicker if he happens upon a shutdown DB to get paid. Really looking at that, once you become a projected 3rd round pick or higher, it doesn't matter much staying another year, unless you would propel yourself in to the 1st round.
  5. If the team non-tenders Kneble, they can sign him for a lower contract right? Now the question is, can they negotiate to this before they would non-tender him? Or, is that breaking a rule? Just to be fair Kneble has earned roughly(since I don't know how much he really made for the 2020season) over 10mil in all of his short 227IP over 6years with Milw. One being an outstanding season and the rest basically just average RP. So for example can Milw approach him and say we have to non-tender you. What price does it take to keep you? Or can they not negotiate until the moment he is a FA? Anyway, Stearns may look at the current roster and fill again lightly, maybe keep Kneble with Hader and play for a mid-season trade/minor rebuild year for the team. Kneble at his best is an All Star RP. You would have a big amount of players to trade off as rentals+ a Hader mid-season trade to retool and restock for 2022. Just off of FA potentials after next season is Kneble, Claudio, Pina, Garcia if you don't pick up the option. Narvaez could also be looked at as a trade candidate with a much higher trade value mid-season than what he's at now. Gamel and Peterson seem locks. Claudio I've been over for a long time, so he'll be kept. Pina seems to be the only one that catches Hader well. I'd keep him around for the defense and maybe you can include him in a Hader deal to a team needing a second catcher.
  6. Well, sounds like Mariners have an interest in Snell. Suggested cost 1 of Kyle Lewis, Jarred Kelenic, or Julio Rodriguez for Headline. So about that Seattle rebuild? I don't see where Milwaukee can come up to beat that for a headline offer.
  7. They aren't anywhere close to completing a rebuild. What's hard to understand about that? They're currently 3 starting pitchers, a 1st baseman, 2nd baseman, maybe 3rd baseman given Seager's age, a corner outfielder, catcher and basically an entire bullpen short of completing their rebuild. So tell me how trading for Hader completes their rebuild. Okay. I'll lesson you on something called vision. Let's start with the lineup. 1b: Evan White. 1st rd 17th pick Signed a ML contract already buying out his 6year team control. Rookie jumping from AA for 2020. Was rated top 60 prospect to begin 2020. Covered way beyond Milwaukee's dreams. 2b:Seattle acquired Ty France to pair with Shed Long Jr. and likely replace Seager when gone. France has a 1.2+OPS in AAA in 2019 and batted above 800OPS in 2020 for SD and Sea. Long is a guy near 800OPS for his Minors career. Talking about 2b now. SS: J.P. Crawford. A long running top 20 prospect as high as 6. Defensive wizard. Awaiting the bat to show up. 3b: Kyle Seager. Only player making dent in Seattle payroll. 9year played career 33BWAR Potential final year in contract C: Tom Murphy is a former top 100 prospect, returns next season. Had an .858OPS(offense calling card) in 2019 Luic Torrens had a solid #2 catcher OPS just below 700 last season. Holding spot for Cal Raleigh a 3rd round pick in 2018 over 800OPS in minors. projected 2021 MLB callup. CF: Kyle Lewis: mentioned near ROY 1st rd pick 11 in 2016. Former top 75 prospect. Breaking out in progress. RF: Mitch Haniger: 10.5 BWAR in 350 games played. 827 career OPS Will be FA after 2022 season LF: This is something to be addressed until adding Kelenic or Taylor Trammell to the position. That link if you bothered to read it, suggests FA signing of Marcell Ozuna. They have the payroll space to do so and LF solved. DH: Another tbd. article mentions adding Nelson Cruz do so, problem solved. Pitching Marco Gonzales headlines. True TOR pitcher probably a #2 easy Justus Sheffield in the process of breaking out, former top 50 prospect 3.74ERA in 10 starts Yusei Kikuchi Japan Eastern League signing Ranked top 45 prospect upon it 2 years over 5ERA but had a 3.30 Fip last season. He'll become a FA if the team doesn't pick up his options after 2021. but have 4 options to do so say the Fip becomes his future ERA Justin Dunn Former top 100 prospect/1st round #19 pick 14 games in to his career for a #4 pitcher on the team. 3.76 minors career ERA .6 HR/9 3/9 BB/K #5-any number of players. I suggested in trade of Hader adding Freddy Peralta. Seattle had Logan Gilbert who appears fast-tracking to the majors. RP: Insert Hader=Huge upgrade and 3 years control Yohan Ramirez had a 2.61 ERA as rookie. Looks the swingman or better RP type Actually looking at their 2020 RPs it looks like a large assortment of young inexperienced with not enough sample size to really determine what the pecking order is. Either way lineup=set and better than Milwaukee's at the moment Pitching A little behind Milwaukee's but that's just because how great Woodruff and Burnes are expecting to be. RP: much worse than Milwaukee but can be back end solidified by a Hader acquisition in trade. Prospects-numerous additions each of the next 2 seasons. Seattle lost 1 more game than Milwaukee last season. Stearns rebuild took only 2 seasons, similar to where Seattle stands now. Seattle can easily fill the holes to make a run beginning in 2021. Oh and I see Kyle Lewis was actually named the AL ROY. Closer is something I don't see Seattle possessing. Who will take over that role. Be a monster move to complete.
  8. It doesn't need any analysis. Seattle is in the middle of a rebuild. They aren't trading their top prospect for a reliever that will be a free agent by the time they're contending. Pretty simple. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2020/11/offseason-outlook-seattle-mariners-11.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+MlbTradeRumors+%28MLB+Trade+Rumors%29 Flat out wrong. Hader very well should be a top target. Seattle is in a better position than the Brewers right now. In terms of payroll and cheap control on young hitters. Hader isn't a rental. He's an acceleration completing a rebuild. Add Peralta and they pick up a swingman with upside. Seattle will get Mitch Haniger back playing. Evan White is mentioned in there. Lewis was mentioned apparently had 2020 Roy possibilities. JP Crawford was a top prospect awaiting his breakout. Look at the ages 24-27 up and down their roster. Seattle may turn in to Minnesota exploding with offense during 2021. What does Seattle not have? A legit Closer. The more you know. PS, Stearns would hit a HR in acquiring a Wisconsin native to debut in Milw in 2021 bringing fans in the stands. Fans that would in no way be disgusted trading Hader with Kelenic coming back.
  9. Seattle is not in any position to trade for Hader. Flat out just won't. Great analysis. Just won't. I mentioned adding Peralta in order to get Kelenic. So what's holding them back? Just won't got it.
  10. Let's put a package together and take Jarred Kelenic from Seattle. Looks like Taylor Williams was Seattle's closer last year. Fixed that for them with Hader. They lose T.Walker, need a SP. That starting pitcher becomes Freddy Peralta. This solves OF for Milw beyond Garcia. Cain gets replaced in future by Garret. Team saves over 6mil on payroll. Pairs a long term bat with Yelich. Seattle has Kyle Lewis in CF. Sure they can move Kelenic to a corner OF but immediate team health Hader improves that bullpen by a wide margin. They also return Peralta under a cost controlled contract with modest upside. Throw in 2 others from Seattle that are low level types. Austin Shenton fits a 3b get. And one of any number of pitching arms Sea has, that has the profile the club likes.
  11. Just going to guess some of these are degenerate gamblers who lost money on this game and have no fandom towards GB whatsoever. Also, Keyboard warriors. How many of these threats are from accounts where people are real and have their name and face on them? Or something like an Elmer Fudd photo and some bugs bunny twitter name. Trolls suck and gets enough reactions to have a popular comment because so many are going to respond having MVS back. Especially Packer fans.
  12. Baseball Reference Bio on him: Renato Núñez Positions: Designated Hitter, Third Baseman and First Baseman Bats: Right • Throws: Right 6-1, 220lb (185cm, 99kg) Team: Baltimore Orioles (majors, designated for assignment) Born: April 4, 1994 (Age: 26-232d) in Valencia, Venezuela ve Debut: September 12, 2016 (Age 22-161d, 18,907th in MLB history) vs. KCR 1 AB, 0 H, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 SB Rookie Status: Exceeded rookie limits during 2018 season 2021 Contract Status: Pre-Arb Eligible Service Time (01/2021): 2.167 • Arb Eligible: 2022 • Free Agent: 2025 He's got 2 years and 167 days - he would be eligible as a super two. MLBTradeRumors had him as arb eligible too with a $2.1MM – $3.9MM range. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2020/11/orioles-designate-renato-nunez-for-assignment.html https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2020/10/projected-arbitration-salaries-for-2021.html Okay then. Obviously see where I was mislead above.
  13. If were going to lose let it be on a Taylor rushing TD
  14. Thats a pass. Rivers throws many balls in this game with a side wind motion
  15. I believe that is going out of bounds and coming back in bounds and being the first to touch the ball.
  16. That was a great player personnel call coming from the Timeout. No way Colts thinking a WR screen to ESB

  18. Is this a serious post or was this meant to be in blue? It is serious, but go ahead and believe on small sample seasons over his 1 true full season. Smoak had better years prior to coming here than Renato had in his small sample season. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/renato-nunez-600524?stats=statcast-r-fielding-mlb Pretty big indicator how poor he is defensively on attempts, success rate and expected success rate. Whole lotta below expectations. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/justin-smoak-475253?stats=statcast-r-fielding-mlb Meanwhile Smoak in more chances, always beat expectations, except this year. You're setting yourself up for huge disappointment when a team thats been pretty much worst in Baseball for 3years dfa's a player who is still pre-arb eligible but has no options I imagine. You want a rebuilding AAAA player be my guest, He's not the kind of player a playoff contender starts on the Corners of the field.
  19. It looks like he isn't even Arb eligible yet so he'd be about 600k no? TurboRickey- justin Smoak is better than Nunez we threw him out there at 1b. But hey chicks dig the long ball and he'll hit HRs for them. Smoak and mirrors on him solving a corner inf spot.
  20. Seems very average. Slug on basepaths and slug in the field range. His bat isnt good enough for DH, and understandably in the field at 1b or 3b because of defense. Just a meh player. What he may have going for him is seeing he's like a 750/770 Ops split RH/LH. That's the thing though, there's nothing he excels at. Statcast. shows he Barrels ball above avg, but everything else is probably 2% positive or negative from MLB average. This looks every bit the type brought in last year. Like hey "He won't be the worst player on an average year" only virtually all of them were. Sounds like the Stearns draft pick trade all over him. Be different went for a hitter.
  21. Rodgers has 4 seasons being sacked 46 times or more and was at 22 when played 7games in a season. Trubisky has a high at 38. Rodgers sacked 50times the Super Bowl year. Always felt the line was overrated up to 3 years ago. Rodgers escaped so many certain sacks that Trubisky and bottom 90% of NFL Qbs never would or could.
  22. So Olson for Daniel Missaki, Carlos Herrera, and Freddy Peralta? Kind of full circle back to getting a 1B? Only we have 3yrs control of said 1b. But nice on idea. Maybe just add Tristan Lutz and call it a day. Looked at his stats and I could easily see him being intriguing as a near breakout acquire before he did. While Milw gets better for 2021, I'd imagine Oakland wins this trade by 2024. Edit add, Does Oakland have a 1b to replace Olson? Not creating a hole for them?
  23. I would wonder more on Freddy Peralta as the headliner vs Houser. Full cost control disclosed for the A's. They like these kind of pitchers. Manea, Minor, Gray previously. Fiers recently. Seems like the spot Stearns likes to use his draft pick which is higher and after last year's draft should be valued more on the players that will be available to draft there. Throw in a cpl lotto lower level guys.
  24. 2020 when Brewer fans try giving ideas how to keep the Cubs relevant.
  25. That's going all-in. If Giannis doesnt extend now team wont be stuck in the 8th seed they'll be stuck in the 20win column.
