  1. How far will Baun fall? Generally seen him a ranked 24-38 guy. I half heartedly thought Balt was going to corner the LB market and take him.
  2. Ravens have 2 picks Id expect them to take him. Or Minnesota.
  3. Mims Claypool Gandy-Golden K.J. Hill Bryan Edwards Collin Johnson Van Jefferson Joe Reed All those guys have the talent to be potential #1-2 guys. I hadnt seen the other names after Claypool. So its just 2 and draft & develop. And immediately down to 1. Mims will be long gone unless we trade up with the 3rd round pick.
  4. Broncos double up on WR for Drew Lock. How many WR are left in this deep class?
  5. Happy he went before Dobbins. Better player. I think Dobbins is overrated. Even better Colts jumped the Bears to select him.
  6. Hope for the present and future because we have a GM in place who isn't going to play into fan lip service. Did it occur to you that perhaps the Packers didn't have the same type of grade on Queen that you seem to? Detroit is going to eventually back their way into good players because they are consistently terrible and drafting at the top of the 1st round. The Vikings drafted a solid receiver ... one I like a lot. But Gladney profiles as a nickel corner, and their CB room is a dumpster fire right now. Do you honestly think the Vikings will be able to slow down the Packers' offense with Gladney and Mike Hughes/Holton Hill manning the boundaries? Yeah, I have hope for the immediate and long-term future, because the Packers seemingly have smart, gutsy personnel people in place. Could it blow up on them? Sure. But it stands just as good of a chance of working out. Well good to know the Vikings won't draft a single help there with the 12 picks they have remaining, 7more through the 5th round. 58, 89, 105 today. With 9 picks below. More than enough ammo to move up and grab. I dunno 2 CB/S who had 1st/2nd round grades. Nfl.com has 7 of those types available still in the top 50draft class ranks.
  7. Exactly. The Love pick was aimed at long-term continuity. In the ideal scenario, this adds to the chip on Rodgers's shoulder and the Packers win two Super Bowls over the next three years. Rodgers retires on top, right when Love is ready to step in. The Packers secure yet another decade of elite QB play and everyone in the NFC North is jealous. Or this pick puts Rodgers at fire Mike McCarthy play. I think this is very accurate. Exactly. Love is not the move I would have made, but I'm not an NFL GM. I'm a pud Packers fan commenting on a message board at 7:15 a.m. on a random Friday. Could this move blow up in Gute's face? Of course. But I certainly admire the fact that we have a GM willing to make an extremely gutsy move like this. It gives me hope for both the immediate and long-term future of the organization. Hope for the immediate future? Immediate and long term future would have been Queen. Probably 7-10year Starter today(over Burks) Immediate future would have been any top WR on your board at 30. Immediate future would have been the top OT you have on your board. Heres what the immediate future is. Is GB a playoff team? Detroit has a lockdown CB for Adams for as long as Rodgers and he is on the team . Minnesota did so too with Gladney and picked up a top WR target who immediate plays. They now have 6more picks to add to immediate to GBs 2 before GB picks in the 5th round.(7th pick immediately after) That makes winning the division questionable for the immediate future. SF who embarrassed GB twice in different ways last season improved with a top talent WR and a top talent DE to pair with Bosa. Bahktiari cant block both. Now, they only have 3more late picks in this draft, but were -2 on immediate help and have 2 most likely chances remaining for immediate help. Kirksey replaces Martinez and Wagner replaces Bulaga but both are lower graded players last season than what Blake and Bryan gave. I think your idea on immediate is different than mine. My feelings on immediate future 9win teams for the next 4seasons. Playoff hopeful.
  8. And for what little it's worth....Packers listed as one of the "winners" in the first round. If Eason or Frohm were picked in the 3rd or 4th round by GB, this quote could almost be copied, just adjust the team and stat concern. Of course any QB selected is a lovely landing spot. They all would have multiple seasons to learn behind Rodgers and be Lafluer's QB beyond Rodgers. Considering Rodgers was a #1 thought selection for QB, did he really need to learn much behind Favre? That would be a great list to have Rodgers do on what he learned from Favre. Did he learn directly from him, or learn nuances from what he watched? Like risk averse to Int? Just going to add here vs another post. Love's Ints last year I'll give 4 for great plays and not his fault. These INTs are not a WR talent problem. Underthrown, late thrown, double or triple coverage. The 2-4yd sideline mis-throws are alarming. Zip not there on those throws and that is a basic call at least 3 or 4 times every game.
  9. So....nothing on your thoughts on the Packers picking Aaron Rodgers? I asked a straight forward question and got an emotional answer. For the record, if you EVER expect ANY player to be as good as or have to match Aaron Rodgers in order for a pick to be successful...well, lets just say, it's not hard to see why you're CONSTANTLY disappointed with every draft from pretty much every team you root for. What does my opinion on Rodgers' selection have to do with my opinion on Love? The comparison of the 2 selections, there isnt one. Scenarios were far different. My response to your topic was attempt to try to understand how you incorrectly compare Rodgers pick reaction vs my reaction to what is easily the worst pick made in the 1st round. But here after that reply, Rodgers selection was the best pick for that draft with where we picked him and simply choosing him. I was shocked and excited an expected 1st pick was there for us to choose and we chose him. I didnt say Love had to be as good as Rodgers. I said he had to win a SB in the next decade to make this pick a good pick. (Rodgers winning another one included) Its a terrible pick, but go ahead be happy with it when the first, first game of the season hes starting is 4 or 5 seasons from now. And enjoy a team thats further away from a Super Bowl next season than they were hours ago. Other teams got better including within our division. We did not and committed 2picks of top 4 to not improve.
  10. How did you feel about the selection of Aaron Rodgers? Didnt realize Love was Joe Burrows or Tua Tags. Dont remember trading up for Rodgers. Oh yeah thats because the #1 or 2 QB in Rodgers' draft Fell to our selection. Burrows and Tua were selected. Heck QB #3 was selected too and didnt fall to #30. We werent 1 game from the Super Bowl leading up to that Rodgers pick. Rodgers played vs Pac 12 opponents. Love had 5 multi int games against the likes of Wake Forest, Colorado St, Louisiana St, Brigham Young, and Wyoming. Rodgers threw 6ints all last season and never more than 13 in any season in his Nfl and college careers. This will never be good pick imo unless Rodgers wins a SB in the next 2seasons. Love wins the Super Bowl at least once for GB(as starter) this decade. What odds are you giving me both will happen after this pick? Hey we still have 2nd and 3rd round pick right? Followed with #30 in the 5th rd. You tell me how likely these are propeliing GB over SF after their first 2 picks today?
  11. Wow you are one of the 32 GMs and you know where Love was good value? It’s called the Patriots were looking to trade up. You are not allowed to cheer for Jordan Love going forward. I dont care what NE was doing. If they wantef Love good for them. They no longer have Brady who started for them last season. GB still has Rodgers, pay him the highest on the team. Love doesnt make GB a 10+win team the next 3years. You took your 1st pick and ignored your team for at least 3 seasons. Its hot garbage. SF who beat your team to go to the Super Bowl last season picked a DE who'll start from day 1. Then adds a WR likely to start day 1 from the slot. You had no answer for Bosa last season. They made it tougher. You had no answer for George Kittle last year. They paired him up with a weapon to mismatch your defense even more. If you have no intention to put a SB team out there after being 1game away, you have no right to trade up and select a project with your 1st pick.
  12. You can't make this a positive move. Its brutal and Gute should be fired before the end of the year. Trubisky made more sense than this for the cost. QB not a Need. 1st round pick? Did the guy fall down where this is value? Nope. You stuck with your 1st pick and made this controversial pick? Nope. We traded up for a Backup QB to your highest paid player on your team. How's your 2020 team looking after the 1st round? Worse much much worse.
  13. No way. Puke.
  14. On the Clock! Trade up. Queen please
  15. Packer fans we want Jefferson. Vikings 1st pick no doubt. NE traded out of 1st. Chargers up to 23. Hmmm. And select Murray. Makes sense facing KC.
  16. Stream Im watching calls Reager a new Desean Jackson for Philly. Was a guy mocked to GB often, so we're about 3names below 29 taken above.
  17. Now were talking on a reach. I dont know Arnette is a reach overall when talking a OSU CB and pick by Mayock, but certainly wasn't a 1st round expectation.
  18. Jackson may be the first guy outside #30, but it wouldnt be by much. Terrel i had seen mocked to GB simply because BPA at the time. He wasnt really a reach.
  19. These guys in mind may be falling but at same time none of these picks are outside a top 25 ranking. Kinlaw to SF. Gotta love it pair across Bosa.
  20. What was it 6teams with multiple 1st rd picks? 5 at least. I think theres your reason. The 3 QBs were gone by 6 and perfect fits for those teams. BPA is likely happening now. Just seems player values and teams picks are matching up.
  21. First notice of new mock. Miami trading up to 3 from 5. To take Tua. Um the Giants arent taking your QB at 4. How does this make sense? Keeping the Chargers from moving to 3. Ive seen the Chargers do this and more often take Herbert to do so. Another note watching a Mock draft now. Brady and Tampa have the ability to pick Jerry Juedy and give him Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Jeudy and Gronk to throw to. Then the guy mentions a RB with the 2nd pick. Oof.
  22. I made mention to this. All of GBs picks create a total value to move up to 18 or 19 in the 1st round. 1pick for 10picks. The team would have to move 2021picks moving up beyond 6picks from 30. That would be incredibly wrong considering the fact if Rodgers got hurt in game 1 we could be staring at a 3-5win season and losing picks that may be in the top 3 or 5 of every round in 2021. Theres also going most likely going to be much better interviewing, studying, in person workouts, than thisCovid 2020. Those 4 WRs typically are gone by 18. And the latest I see mocked is when Minnesota picks simply surprised that WR is available. My only other trade value thought is do we have a player to trade that may be a 2nd or 1st rd value and contract movable. Amos? Clark? Aaron Jones? Thinking you move Williams to 1 and Ervin to 3drb. Its crazy talk but moving up ahead of Minnesota is just that crazy talk.
  23. Where's the option for none of the above?
  24. I was actually referring to mock drafts I watched that were posted in the last 48hours. In the last 6hours I've seen more consensus that GB will trade up to 27 with Seattle because Seattle is anti 1st rd apparently in order to leap the Ravens and take Murray at 27. Some say GBs 3rd pick for the move. I seen another say the 4th pick plus 1 6 and 1 7. I just can't fathom the risk to miss out on one of these WRs not having a pick til 62. What happens when a guy valued around 36-40 is there vs a WR that's in the 70s? You trade back with a team looking to grab the top 40 and you pick your 70s player maybe(still there?) in the 3rd round and acquire a 4th round pick. Just Yuck. I hate it for the fact I mentioned previously, you're very likely to walk away with Murray and not a single other contributor to the 2020 team.
  25. The mocks I watched made mention to the tall WRs and a need for a smaller slot WR. One mention was Rodgers needs a WR who wins with separation in short routes and the tall guys he has just dont do that. So Aiyuk, Reager, Mims are being that "if I'm Gm" Im filling this position need. What gets me is that they toss Mims or Shenault as 1st round selection when so many see them as 50s or early 3rd round picks. Kinda my feeling lets let a BPA fall further and maybe get an easy choice later. I seen a mock with Cole Kmet to NE at 23. Yeah right.
