If he's cheap enough, I'd be good with signing Soriano to be our closer or 8th inning guy... He's been good in Washington the past couple seasons. However, with that said... I would still prefer to get Joba and another lefty with the extra money.
-
Dontrelle Willis was signed to Minor League deal.
-
Don't get your hopes up... Unless we get really, really, really lucky, Yoan won't be playing in Milwaukee.
-
And/or maybe Jungmann is the real deal and we can move Garza for prospects, re-tooling the farm system once again. That would be ideal!
-
I just read this... Man would be nice but I'm sure we have no shot. Kid is supposed to be the real deal.
-
I think I'm good with not going after Shields now... Go with Lohse/Garza/Peralta/Fiers/Nelson and go really hard after Zimmermann in the offseason. I would LOVE to see this rotation in 2016... Zimmermann Peralta Garza Fiers Nelson
-
I agree on the Joba talk... He would be a great fit.
-
So in other words Shields will be signed in the next 24 hours. DM is very hard to read, so there's just as good a chance he's misleading as there is he's telling the truth. Haha good point... Man I would really love this to be true.
-
Not sure how to read this... Melvin said doesn't see pursuing Shields. Disappointed if that's true... Really want Shields to be our Ace.
-
Sardinas could easily displace Luis Jimenez imo. you'd put hunter morris ahead of luis jimenez on the depth chart--knowing you'd still have matt clark and jason rogers on the 40-man? i think hunter morris will be outrighted. Hunter Morris was DFA'd.
-
Uh..don't forget Fiers! Fiers as LR in pen and 6th starter.
-
I like the deal... Some nice prospects. Alright Doug now go get Shields... Shields Lohse Garza Peralta Nelson Yes please!!
-
We traded Michael Strong?
-
I was just gonna post about him... He's making a decision on his 2015 team by the weekend, he has multiple offers. I would really love to see Beachy added... This is a solid, solid rotation. Gallardo Lohse Garza Peralta Beachy Then sign Joba as final bullpen piece... Broxton Henderson Chamberlein Smith Thornburg Jeffress Kinztler This pitching staff could be really good... Top 5 in NL.
-
He would be a nice bullpen addition... Surprised hasn't been signed yet.
-
I would still like to see Craig added and some bench & bullpen pieces added.
-
I was just going to post about Sean... He would be a great fit in Milwaukee.
-
He would be a very nice bullpen addition. He has some filthy stuff.
-
Oh... I didn't know that. Well still it would be nice to see him a Brewers uniform.
-
I'd like to see Doug take a chance with Kris Medlen, if he's not back with Atlanta. Gallardo Loshe Garza Medlen Peralta Damn that would be nice.
-
Reports say Jordan Zimmerman is available if trade makes sense... Man I would love the Brewers to acquire Jordan to be our Ace... But I know it's gonna cost a ton.

Any thoughts on possible Aug. trades?

Yes that is correct about Miller... If he wasn't dealt to the O's he would have been in Milwaukee... Would be curious to hear what the deal was. -

Not sure if Doug is still looking but... He checked into Jim Johnson before he signed with the Tigers. -
Chase Headley... Brewers 2015 3B??
-
http://i.imgur.com/seh6p.gif Haha that's perfect... But that will not be the case come September.
