    I like Doug as our GM but... As much sense as this makes, it won't happen.

    I'd rather see Bonafacio make the roster over Bianchi. Aside from playing SS Bianchi what value does he bring to the team? He can't hit either LH or RH pitching so he can't platoon. He can't hit for power and is a liability on the base paths. If you replaced Bianchi with Bonafacio you could keep a platoon at 1st, 2nd and even Caleb Gindl off the bench if LF needed a platoon. C Maldonado 1B Reynolds/Francisco/Overbay 2B Gennett/Weeks OF Gindl 2B/SS/3B/LF/CF/RF Bonafacio Seems like a no brainer to me. I absoltely agree... Bianchi doesn't bring us much. Come on Doug, Bonifacio is just sitting out there!!

    I would remove Elian Herrera or Miguel De Los Santos to make room.

    I was thinking that too. He can be the insurance in case one of, or both of, Week and Gennett flops while still being able to backup everywhere else. That's a good point... I would be fine with Bonifacio playing 2B if needed.

    Emilio Bonifacio was DFA'd the other day... I wouldnt mind giving him a shot to make the 25 man. He's plays every position except for 1B.

    Damn, Marmol scares me... He was good for the Dodgers late last season... 21.1 IP 14 H 19 BB 27 SO 2.53 ERA Throughout his career he doesnt give up HRs but those walks scare me... Although the Ks are nice.

    You nailed it. The only reason Overbay was brought in was because they fear being too right handed and still are far from sold on Francisco. Reynolds is the logical main guy at 1B, but they will want to use a LH bat there a couple games a week. For the same reason, I think Gindl is going to see far more playing time than many project. Melvin hinted at it, but I think the guy he really wants is Mitch Moreland but Texas isn't shopping him. Yet. Second on his list is Smoak, and Seattle hasn't yet shopped him either but may well at some point. Carp is another guy who seems to be logical, depending on how Boston sees his role. I hope that's true about Moreland... I would be happy with him in a Brewer uniform at 1B.

    I read on MLBTradeRumors that K-Rod and Marmol are close to signing deals... I would imagine Doug is probably in on both of them? Pretty sure we all prefer K-Rod to Marmol.

    I would love to see Smoak as a Brewer... I would think his power would project well at Miller Park.

    I still think it's Ike Davis that Doug wants for 1B... Guess we'll see if he re-opens talks with the Mets.

    Saw that Bryan LaHair was released from team in Japan... Maybe worth a look... He could be a corner OF as well. I could get on board with a LaHair/Reynolds platoon.

    Estrada will be the #5 SP... I could see Thornburg in the bullpen as 7th or 8th inning guy.

    I LOVE THIS DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll take a rotation of Gallardo/Lohse/Garza/Peralta/Estrada to go along with one of the best O's in the NL... We could be in for big things this year! Have to imagine there's more moves to come? I still think Ike Davis will be a Brewers come Opening Day... This signing might make that happen.

    NO KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm starting to get super excited about this. With our Offense having everyone back, adding Reynolds power at 1B and potentially adding Garza to our rotation... We could be in for some big things!!!
