While I agree that we shouldn't overreact to Corey's struggles, it wasn't just September. What worries me is his inability for most of the season to get on base, and his OBP by month for the season were: .355 .342 .292 .301 .310 .192 Great point TooLive. As much as I think Corey will not be this bad and will be a good player. If KC is would do DeJesus for Hart straight up I would pull that trigger in a heartbeat. But if Corey is back that is fine to.

It was a hell of a lot of fun. I think even without CC and Ben next year we can compete and do it again. A few moves here and there this winter and we can fix some of the problems and move forward in 2009. I enjoyed every moment of this season no matter how frustrating it was at times. Thank you Brewers, can't wait till pitchers and catchers report. -
I agree with all of that. Great post twobrewers. Except the whole Suppan thing, but we don't have a choice he is gonna be back like it or not and I just have to accept that. Gallardo is going to be a flat out stud. Can't wait for a full season of him.

CC, you were a pure joy and pleasure to watch pitch this season. I will never forget all the memories of you on the mound and at the plate. No matter where you go next season I will be a fan for life and wish you luck.

I still don't think I can forgive Sveum for starting Suppan over Gallardo though. Plain and simple stupid.

I was on-board with him before today, but these were huge, disastrous shows of bad judgment. Edit: Add in bringing in Mota when Parra was dealing. Yeah that is how I feel. I appreciate how he handled the pen for the most part and he did some good things. But we need to go another direction. New Manager in 09's for sure.

Burrell's follow through on his HR hit balls make me mad. Reminds me of the shimmy Jack Parkman did in Major League 2. It makes me want to puke.

We got farther then the Cubs. With or without CC and or Sheets with a few other moves made to improve areas of the team where we are not so good we can still compete next year and the long haul. The offseason is always exciting, I love the hot stove talk.

You know, I don't mind Sveum as our Manager he has done a pretty decent job. But his move today to start Suppan over Gallardo has made me feel we need to explore all options before we give him the job. The only he gets it is if we can't find any Manager with a solid record that has had post season success.
