  1. A starting lineup of 1. DeJesus CF 2. Abreu RF 3. Braun LF 4. Fielder 1B 5. Hardy 3B 6. Weeks 2B or Rivera C 7. Escobar SS 8. Kendall C or Weeks 2B 9. Pitcher Nate82 I love that lineup. I love it A LOT.
  2. How about Hart for DeJesus? Or Hart and something else for David?
  3. If our hitters realize that to beat Moyer you need to go the other way we will be fine. But if they start trying to pull everything it could be a long game. I have faith in Bush, I think he can get it done. But the offense has to give him something. We need to score at least 4-5 runs to win this game.
  4. I like Hart, and someday he will come out of this awful slump. But if we could get say David DeJesus straight up for him, I would do that in a heartbeat if I were Melvin.
  5. Well, it's small but we do have a chance. I think if we can win game 3 that puts a ton of pressure on the Phillies to win game 4 because they do not want to have this thing go 5. And if it does go 5 we would have CC on 4 days rest with revenge on his mind. If we can take these two at home, I have no doubt we win the series in Philly with CC throwing one of his gems. But, gotta win 3 and 4 which will be tough. I have faith in Bush tomorrow though.
  6. We need a leadoff hitter. And bad, a guy at the top that can bat around .300 and have an OBP 60-80 points higher then his batting average. I would love to swing a trade for David DeJesus, I would trade Hart for him straight up. We also need to do something about 3B and 2B. I am willing to give Rickie 1 more year to show his potential, if not hes gone. But 3B is a black hole, Counsell is fine as a bench guy but should not be a straight platoon player and Hall has been just awful. I don't have all the answers but I know Melvin has some work to do this offseason and we need to bring in some solid coaches to teach these guys and get the most out of them.
  7. Hahaha. I'm getting flashback's to the Gallardo thread.
  8. I guess I don't think the hats look all that cool. But pretty much all the other playoff apparel does.
  9. Hart had a very good year in 07 and an awesome first half of 08. He can't be this bad forever. No better day then today to turn it all around for Corey.
  10. I have to say I was guilty of referring to both of them as those names at least once. Both guys have done well.
  11. He is in my opinion one of the most underated pitchers in baseball, he has pitched over 199 innings the last 4 years, with an ERA under 4 in each of those seasons. Lowe does not walk guys, and even in Miller park he would not give up a ton of home runs, because he has a great groundball rate. Great points, all the reasons I would like to get Lowe. But at probably at least a 4 year deal like nate said it could be a gamble since Derek is 35.
  12. Yeah Penny could be an option and would be cheaper then Lowe.
  13. He is set to be a free agent. Yay or nay? I very much like Lowe, but would be afraid of having to overpay much like we did for Suppan. I think Lowe is a much better pitcher then Suppan and more consistent but they are close to being the same pitcher. What do you think? Possible Rotation: Gallardo Lowe Parra Bush Suppan
  14. Those are all good point. I was just throwing an idea out there as a way to get two needs of ours.
  15. Regular: JSonline Brewers Blog Fire Joe Morgan Deadspin (although that is all sports I suppose) Semi-Regular: Al's Ramblings Bugs and Cranks MLB Trade Rumors
  16. Rays take back the lead 4-3. Man Longoria is good, 2 HR.
  17. Go Rays! Longoria is a stud player.
  18. How did one get into this party?
  19. I would also disagree with Witrado. Durham and Counsell give you a good AB can take a walk and I just feel more confident in either of them giving us a clutch hit. Just look at yesterday Counsell had a hit and a walk I believe and Durham had a PH off Lidge.
  20. Honestly CC could bat 7th or 6th and I would be okay with it.
  21. Cool blog there from Braun. Hopefully he can write entry's long into October.
  22. Yeah, but to use a Ned Yost quote, he "battled" and his defense let him down. I would go with Yo in Game 4.
  23. Tom Haudricourt and other media members have speculated that he is pitching hurt and not telling.
  24. How about Hardy and another prospect for DeJesus and Greinke? We have Escobar ready to go at SS anyway. How about DeJesus and Escobar batting 1 and 2 in our lineup? I like the idea of that. Hate to trade Hardy, but it would be worth it.
  25. I wouldn't feel to great about TGJ in RF with a struggling Hart or not. Although if they go with Gwynn and he proves me wrong I'm fine with that.
