I must discuss how Branyan can't possibly keep this up, and how you should sign him, enjoy the occasional dinger and swiftly move him to some dunderhead in your league who thinks he'll hit 30. Hey Karabell, I think he might hit 30 and he just may. Or darn close to it. I'm not a big fan of any of ESPN's fantasy guys.

I wonder if Russ may get a start at 1B in this series? I think he may be better on defense there then Dillon. Then you have Prince DH and have Hall play 3B getting some AB's against RHP or even Counsell could play 3B.

I just hope Gagne comes back and proves to be a good 7th or 8th inning guy and proves all the naysayers wrong.

I don't think McClung pitched all that bad tonight. For sure not one of his better outings, but not awful. A few of those hits were kind of cheap. Man Rickie 3 K's tonight, looks lost up there.

Thanks adambr2. Do you also have Charter as a provider?
  6. BrewCrewForever
Okay so a question for those of you with HD specifically Charter. I got my TV today, tomorrow I'm going to go the the local Charter office and get an HD box and have them add the channels to my package. Do I need to buy a special HD cable to connect it? Or does Charter provide one?

2 away from my prediction. Russell!

Nice, both Cubs and Cards lose! Gotta go get the job done in Minnesota now.

Can't wait! Gonna be fun to see Gamel and LaPorta live for the first time.

Probably offseason priority #1 will be resigning Corey. I hope it gets done.

Here is my rotation: Sheets Gallardo Suppan Parra McClung

I believe we face three RHP in the Twins series this weekend. 3 games of Russell, I predict 3 HR this series.

The Rays are my AL team for sure. Just love the exciting young talent on that team. HAve a bunch of them on my fantasy team as well (Crawford, Navarro, Kazmir, Garza and Jackson).

I wouldn't risk it. But that is just me. Shut it down for the year, he will be ready come spring training next season.

If Sheets does walk after the season the picks will be fine with me, it would be crazy to trade Ben now considering how hot the team is and that we are not to far behind the Cubs anymore and only a handful of games behind the Cards for the wild card. That makes no sense to me.

As far as I know Choate has no options so if he is not on the big club he becomes a free agent? I don't know if they would want him over Stetter as a 2nd lefty to Shouse or not. As for Gagne, I would assume it will be DiFelice or Dillon.

All I can say is if Sheets goes, I hope its to an AL team. And I will watch any game he pitches that is on TV that I can see because even in another uniform I will support him because he is a pure joy to watch pitch. Doug, please give Ben what he wants. He is worth it. Where would we be this season without him? Just ask that question.

I like what SeriesFinale said. Pitchers like Ben don't come around to often and he has shown that he is as good as anyone in all of baseball. There will always be people who talk about the injury bug and what not with Ben. But I think the reward outweighs any risk in re-signing Ben to another deal. Look at how big he has been for us this season, where would we be without him? I accept the fact that he may not be here next season, but I hold out hope everyday that he will be. Because he is very good and a real pleasure to watch pitch.

What a finish to a ball game. Hopefully we get the sweep tomorrow and have 3 wins already on this trip. It would be quite cool to look at the Brewers record and see it 10 games over .500.

Last night was just another example of why Mark and Doug need to give Ben his money and re-sign him. He is worth every penny. 3 complete games already this season, wow.

Amazing Sheets can get hit pretty hard and still only give up 1 run. Hopefully he settles down over the next few innings.
  22. BrewCrewForever
(no FOX HD) That would really stink. None of the Packers or any of the football games would not be cool.

7 dirty words, one of the greatest skits ever. My teacher in college in my Broadcasting Public Policy class even played it for us.
  24. BrewCrewForever
I'm still waiting for a Branyan signing to go down somewhere.

Exactly my thoughts, very exciting to know we are right on their heels for that wild card. Hopefully we can stay close during this 10 game road trip.
