    I would like to give a big thumbs up to Melvin, Yost and Maddux on this one. We got him for Grant Balfour and with Maddux working with him and calming down his mechanics he has become a good starting pitcher because he can now control his pitches. I try not to get to excited because of the small sample size but he has looked darn good and I already have said I take back all the "McDung" jokes I made in April.

    I almost forgot Choate was on the team since he was put on the DL way back in March.

    Totally agree with this. Exactly what I was thinking. If Hardy has to go on the DL why not give Escobar a cup of coffee this season to just split time with Counsell and see what he can do at the big league level. I also like the idea of Branyan/Dillon at 3B and Hall mostly playing 2B with Hernan only playing once in awhile and being a lefty PH off the bench.

    I was at the game with my Dad today. Had a great time, had a few beers and brats and got to see our favorite team pick up a W. My Dad is the entire reason I got into baseball and the Brewers when I was young so it was nice to share a game on Fathers Day. McClung was outstanding once again, this guy continues to grow on me start after start. I love how Yost called himself a "dummy" in the post game presser for making McClung bunt after ripping a double and those two hits off Johnson. I actually called the Cam HR when I turned to my Dad and said I think after he hits this HR I will forget all about his .215 AVG.

    I just looked and it is a A737. They come in blue, red, lime and orange I believe. I have a blue one. I love it, best cell phone I have had.

    I started a new job a few weeks ago and at my office the message boards are blocked by web sense. It is quite sad, I suppose my productivity will go sky high at least but I probably would only log on during lunch anyway. Anyone else have this problem? It kind of stinks. It seems the only sites I can get to are major sites. Please share your frustrations here with me.

    I don't think Ned Yost knows how to teach fundamentals. Cause none of this teams in 6 years can seem to do any of them very well.

    I was at a wedding last night so I missed all of Tiger's round. Just saw the highlights this morning, Wow! Talk about amazing, those eagles were just incredible. Even though it's only a 1 shot lead I don't see anyway Tiger loses. He doesn't lose going into Sunday with a tie or a lead. As for Phil's 9, I feel for him, I do that kind of stuff all the time. Of course I'm not even close to a pro.

    Yeah sure would have been nice to have a guy who can hit the ball like that be your DH then a guy who can hit the ball like Gwynn. I can't say for sure, but if Branyan DH's in that series we just might have taken at least 1 of those games. He could have made that kind of difference.

    If we can put up with Halls' errors I'm pretty sure we can deal with Gamel's defenseive woes when he is ready next season because unlike Hall, Gamel can rake.

    I'm so pumped for the emergence of Gamel. If he continues to hit at a high level getting him and Braun out of that 2005 draft is going to like mighty good for years to come.

    At least he is less injured then Hammonds was. Hall went from two awesome years in 05' and 06' to being quite awful. Not sure what happend. I mean I didn't expect 35 HR ever year, but better then this pooh.

    We got spanked last night, but not spanked like the Cards did. Ouch let the Phillies score 22 runs. Still only 4 back of the WC.

    If Hardy goes on the DL I would like to see Escobar get the call. Not to play everyday but split time with Counsell. This would allowe Craig to play 2B as well so we don't have to play Hall there everyday.

    I will second that vent. I used to love Hall, but it's hard to defend him anymore. He looks lost at the plate and is making awful errors in the field.

    I don't mind Corey leading off but I would much rather have him in the 5 hole. I wish we could swing a trade for Brian Roberts so he could lead off and move Corey back to 5 and Branyan back down to 6. But I doubt we will get Roberts, so it doesn't matter.

    Braun and Sheets should be in. While voting for the NL OF I have been voting for Braun, Burrell and Rowand.
