  1. That is a good point, but come on do you really think Ryan Braun is Scott Podsednik?
  2. That, or maybe its were playing the Pirates and we are actually hitting. Oh and the fact that Parra and Sheets have pitched two very good games. Lets see how Bush, Suppan and McClung do the next few games.
  3. Well after two straight wins all is quiet on the "Fire Yost" front. I still would like to see him gone, but we have won two in a row and I have calmed down a bit. If we sweep Pitts today and win 3 in DC I would be very calm. But as soon as another 5 plus game losing streak happens I will probably freak out again.
  4. I remember seeing that interivew Ryan did with Corrolla live. That was just awful, felt bad that Ryan got to come on JRIB and instead of Rome doing the interview who is one of the best in the business at interviewing athletes he gets Adam Corrolla. But it was all made up yesterday when Rome finally got to interview Braun, it was well done. Big fan of Rome and big fan of Braun so win, win.
  5. I can't speak for all 3TO fans, but I don't expect him to be a savior nor that he will put up those crazy AAA numbers at the big league level. But I do expect him and know he would be more valuable on our team then Tony Gwynn. Rigth now Gwynn really serves no purpose. We don't need to put him in for any one of our 3 OF's on defense late in the game and he never gets used to pinch run. What Russ brings is a guy who can hit RHP with power and will take his walks and get on base. Yes he is not going to hit .300 and he will strike out quite a bit. But his defense is pretty good at 3B and if he is not stating at 3B for Hall he is a great option off the bench late if you can win or tie with one swing of the bat. (pared back quote --1992)
  6. Well Bush may have an ERA over 6 but so does Gorzelanny so that is nice.
  7. Counsell needs to stick with being a pinch hitter and spelling Hardy and Weeks once in awhile. If anyone should platoon with Hall at 3B (besides Gamel who is not quite ready) it is Russell Branyan.
  8. Please Dave just a nice quality start pitch a good 6 innings and we should be fine.
  9. I would have never guessed, didn't know he went back that far.
  10. Have Frank deliver him personally. Can Frank please bring Russ Branyan as well? But in all seriousness great win for the Crew, the bats heated up and Parra looked awesome. Great graduation gift Brewers! Lets win the series today with Sheets on the hill.
  11. I doubt it is anything serious with Gagne, but that is my opinion. If it does involve a DL stint might not be bad to get him some rehab work in Nashville.
  12. Honestly I think Seth deserves the opportunity. I don't know how well he will do, but after his first two outings early in the year he has been darn good. Villa has not pitched well so I say give The Big Red Head a chance and see what he can do, if he falters you bring Villa in and then next time around you decide if you want to go back to Villa or bring up Weaver.
  13. I think this 2008 team is better, but I actually thought that 2005 team was pretty darn good. 2005 Bill Hall was awesome .292 AVG and 17 HR's I would take that and Branyan this year then just 2008 Bill Hall. If Sheets doesn't miss all those starts that team would have been above .500, maybe with a better record then the 2007 team.
  14. Which is sad, I just get this feeling no matter how bad it gets and how bad we the fans want Nedly gone Mark and Doug will just stand pat. Some of us fans happen to disagree that this is all on Ned. Don't think your opinions are unanimous... I should have worded that different. I know not all think it's all on Ned. But I would say a majority, and I don't think it is ALL on Ned just a lot of it and he has to be the scape goat.
  15. Congratulations! Regardless of what level of schooling you just finished, I feel old when I hear about people graduating. And I'm only 32. Maybe taking care of a 1.5 year old all day, working at night, and preparing for another baby at year's end if also making me feel old. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Thanks! I am 25 and will be graduating from Gateway Technical College with my Associates Degree in Broadcasting. Hopefully the Brewers get me a W for my graduation present http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. I have graduation tonight and will miss this game. I hope in my absence they are able to get a W and stop the bleeding on this road losing streak. Good thing from Manny's last two starts to build on hopefully he has another strong showing. Brauny, stay hot!
  17. Well sure I wouldn't be happy if Brian and Bill or anyone sent me back an arrogant email but at least they took the time and you get some what of a response. That's all I'm saying, just my opinion I guess.
  18. True, but you know how much I hate the fact that I have emailed Bill and Brian on numerous occasions and have never gotten any kind of reply back whatsoever? A lot and that makes me far more upset then them emailing back a dumb response.
  19. TH sounded a little upset there. Funny stuff. I have never emailed TH, have thought about just figured he wouldn't even respond. I guess it is at least nice that he responded to you Patrick.
  20. I guess I can see your point here. The only reason I want Hardy batting 2 is he has hit well in that spot before ahead of Braun and Prince. I would be fine with Kendall batting 2, but that would put Hart at leadoff and although I like him there you need him in an RBI role at #5.
  21. Which is sad, I just get this feeling no matter how bad it gets and how bad we the fans want Nedly gone Mark and Doug will just stand pat.
  22. The Bravery July 6th sounds good.
  23. Yeah I woudl like to keep Melvin, but if Attanasio were to give him the boot Jack Z would be perfect and with his scouting record deserves a shot to be a GM.
