  1. Umm, I had it but lost it. Can I to still get in on this? j.dondlinger@gmail.com
  2. Just when it looked like Manny Parra was turning the corner, this happens.
  3. When will the Branyan #14 jerseys hit shelves!
  4. Branyan will wear #14. I totally forgot Bush is wearing his old #31.
  5. That is a great question. I would assume they have someone else to play 3B for now at AAA. But I would think at some point this season Gamel would be there though.
  6. Sheets was completely healthy in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. Yes he has had injuries in the seasons since then but honestly with the state of pitching in MLB, I personally feel the reward is worth the risk in resigning Sheets. If he pitches the entire rest of this season making all of his starts I think Mark and Doug really need to consider giving him what he wants and keep him around.
  7. I'm okay with the days off today. Braun hasn't hit well the last few games and is under the weather day off is a good thing. Kendall could use a day game after night game off. And Hardy, well does it really matter not like he has been killing the ball. Just really looking forward to Manny continuing his recent success and seeing 3TO return.
  8. I'd much rather give Weaver a chance before Tavarez.
  9. I would assume Branyan will be in the lineup today and batting 7th? God that would be awesome if he went deep in his first game back.
  10. No dount about it, if he makes all of his starts the rest of this season we should throw whatever he wants at him for a 3 or 4 year deal. I figure if he does make the rest of his scheduled starts he wins 18-20 games easy. In this season where we have seen how important starting pitching is it just seems to make3 sense to resign an ace like Sheets.
  11. The church of 3TO is back open for business.
  12. Big props to Seth McClung! Gratned it was against the Nats and he did start to leave a few pitches up in the 5th but he looked darn good. I was very impressed with his command, no walks and 4 K's was good to see. If he keeps his command he has the stuff to be a decent starter. Lets get them tomorrow Manny!
  13. This is outstanding news! It probably should have happened about a week ago but beggers can't be chosers. I think the only other thread headline I would cheer for more would be "Yost Fired". Looking forward to seeing Russ in the lineup tomorrow.
  14. I predict that either McClung will pitch amazing and we will win like he will go 7+ innings or he won't get past the 3rd or 4th as he gets shelled and we lose. Could go either way but I don't see much in between area. But we shall see.
  15. Exactly if Melvin refuses to bring up Branyan because of Hall's attitude toward it that is just wrong. Also the fact that Doug feels Gwynn belongs on the roster over Branyan that is also wrong.
  16. Great post blingster. How Melvin and Yost can't see that a left handed power bat like Branyan would help out our bench is beyond me. Also when you factor in how much Hall has struggled against RHP Branyan would be a better option then Counsell as far as a "soft" platoon is concerned. Why don't they just pull the trigger on this move already. (edit: removed long quote... There's no need to ever quote a three paragraph message, and there's no need to quote at all in this case. The comment is on the entire message located one post above --1992)
  17. A healthy Gallardo next season, full season under his belt Parra, Sheets, Suppan and maybe another pitcher we trade for would be an awesome 5 next year.
  18. I think this season so far has shown how important pitching really is and I hope they can afford to sign Sheets. He is a top 10 starter in all of baseball. Yes there is the "injury risk" factor but I say the reward outweighs the risk. Sign him to an extension. Also trade anyone we can to get starting pitching except for of course Braun, Gallardo and Hart. No one else on the big club should be safe from trade.
  19. FIB4Brew is that the right site?
  20. After seeing what Gwynn has done since that opening series in Chicago, there is no excuse to have him on the big club over Branyan. It's not like we need him for the OF since the three starters will hardly get any days off and when they do Kapler can play all three spots and Dillon can play both corners. If Branyan is not up soon Im gonna be very upset.
  21. In the current state of the Brewers pitching, yes. Davis and Eveland could have possibly helped out.
  22. I guess my hopes and dreams for a trade are no squashed. Darn.
  23. Well here we are the game tonight starts in like 3 1/2 hours and we still have no news on what the move is? Hopefully soon, the suspense is eating at me.
  24. Yeah Wolf would be nice as well. Either or as far as I'm concerned.
  25. Yeah so far I have liked what I have seen from ZachJack and DiFelice is okay but his 84 MPH fastball worries me a bit.
