  1. One of my issues with so many caught stealing is it saves the starter pitches. Just get caught three times a game and you have allowed the other starter to pitch another inning or two. One cannot argue too much with the results of games. But it is one reason we have so many close games. Because we give away so many outs.
  2. Ron, you &%$%^$. You have wasted at least run and maybe a big inning.
  3. If we can somehow get up a couple more we can then Wang it... and everyone is happy. I am impressed how they have come out today on the top of a dreadful, give away, loss. That can happen. But it is how you respond. And Segura and Davis leading the bats. How nice!
  4. Street got them to swing at pitches jusssssst outside the zone. I am going to be sad in minute. Oh, well.
  5. I sure hope our guys have good at bats in the bottom. I would hate them trying for the two run solo shot and whiffing ugly. Yes, in the early innings the Crew were very, very poor to cash in. Tomorrow's game will tell a lot about the team. I always worry we can get real ugly, real fast. Or we may get really pissed and play tomorrow like game 7 of the World Series we may visit this year.
  6. hmmm, pitches 32 and 33... 97 mph and 96 mph. You gotta leave him in another inning. Ha ha. Who knows.
  7. 30+ pitches for Figaro. You gotta get him out if he puts a guy on base. He will be gassed
  8. I think we have a few interchangeable MLB/AAA guys. Figaro was not bad in MLB last year. He should be one of the shuttle guys like Wooten and I guess Hand. And maybe after the super 2 period we may even see Nelson up and down to pick up MLB innings. Funny, Ron even said he was going to shuttle our bench players as well! I like that new attitude.
  9. If you are one of the other 24 players, are you worried your management does not have the nerve to cut Rickie. Weeks had a couple of great years. I think a couple more than 99.99% of the earth's inhabitants. It is not like you are killing the guy by cutting him. He should be cut. Immediately.
  10. I hear Kintzler is back Friday if his Wed bullpen goes well. And his Monday bullpen was great they say!
  11. You get the feeling a win is coming... much harder than it should have been. We have six outs to use. They have three. A bottom of the 9th win may be good to keep Frankie on the bench for a day.
  12. I judged Ike based on a very indepth analysis Fangraphs did? Did any of the 'IKE IS NO GOOD' posters read the analysis? Do you simply disagree with the hypothesis put forward? It could be wrong, but the posting style of 'I am right because I asked myself and you are wrong' is kind of silly.
  13. With the MLB AAA shuttle in place, it is 100% ok to 'carry' Wang
  14. The story and comments are a beat up. I was waiting to hear it. And now I have. But I do note the bullpen must be managed. But has not that been the case for the last 100 years. So... 1) RRR has stated they have a shuttle in place with AAA; so, in fact, our bullpen is 1 or 2 more players deeper 2) If our current games will be an indication of the year... lots of close games because that is how we want it (play for 1 run), you might as well jettison Weeks and have another reliever
  15. If you look up Figaro at Fangraphs, you will find some good, good stuff. The guy does throw some heat.
  16. Ike with ANOTHER grand slam. In a handful of games I am seeing power and walks and good D. And our Ike counter.... Morris was 0 for 5 in AAA today.
  17. I get the impression Gennett will grab his promotion with both hands. And he will bat number 2 for the next three years with a .320 avg, .321 obp, and 750 OPS. Very good for number two. re the comment: "Baseball can be played many ways and the Brewers have their own "style".", I only have one thing to say: ahRRR
  18. Yes, GameDay is quite confused. And I don't blame it. Players appear on the bases when nothing (seemingly) happened. Then they suddenly disappear OUT when nothing (seemingly) happened.
  19. Baserunning: They have a set a standard that is designed to confuse... the other team, the fans, and the Brewer players. Now, for the rest of the year the other teams will be confused... waiting for what will happen next. If ahRRRRRRRRR goes back to something normal, he still has the mojo of confusion the other team needs to consider. It is all part of a master plan.
  20. Management has made a wise and proactive and pre-emotive move. Well done
  21. I wish Gomez would stay on third base when he hits a triple. I wish Gomez would run fast on all his hits, until they actually clear the fence. I wish Gomez would not do anything that leads to him or other team mates being suspended. I don't care what other teams do or don't do (admiring, pistols, crotch scratching, whatever) It does confuse me when Gomez acts like a three year old in response to Cole (and the likes of McCann) acting like 2 year olds.
  22. I state again. There is really no problem or discussion to have. Marco will spend a month or two on the DL (as predicted above) and Tyler will get his starts. Marco will then be not too expensive again in 2015 and be a great number five starter (for half the year). Now, if Marco goes the entire year and picks up 30 starts... then he is likely a nice trade chip over the winter. So, we are win-win. 30 starts = good. half starts = good. Now (since I am now discussing what I said was undiscussable) maybe, just maybe, the BREWERS should offer him a wee extension this winter. Say two years (covering the last arby and one FA year) with a team option. Because come 2016 we are likely pitching short again. And having Marco as a number five could be very useful.
