  1. Looks like Joantgel had gotten back former self after rough first 5 games. Kid can just hit
  2. The sound the bat make makes when Lara squares up on it..... I've wAtched all the videos on him and man even though he isn't putting up huge power numbers, that ball is just a lazer off the bat! He hits everything on a rope it seems. I wonder what kind of exit volocity he has....has to be up there.
  3. Bucks should take chance in Upshaw or Woods. Big bodies to play by rim
  4. What 76ers Center should target? They have enough of them
  5. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/all_star/y2015/futures_roster.jsp No surprise, Orlando Arcia is lone Brewer representative in the MLB Futures Game. Best of luck to him and glad to see his rise as a prospect!
  6. Kirby already is 3rd best lefty in past decade behind Parra and Braddock after last night....sad considering he hasn't even signed yet. That slider was Braddock nasty last night!
  7. I wouldn't trade O Bryant for Cousins... Cousins may be the most dysfunctional player in NBA. He can't handle structure, systems, and acts like a child. He offers nothing to the community, to a team locker room or chemistry. Parker is a great player and person. Team first, selfless, and very active on community..... He is coachible, hard working, and dedicated to this team.... Please tell me where Cousins value is, his stats didn't seem to impact Kings success very well
  8. Do you live in Texas? Do you get, and watch Houston Astros baseball games? I do, and have, and he was being hyped as one of the young stars in Houston. Young stars are the ones who are looked upon as being the draws at the gate. And when the broadcasters are comparing your power potential to that of Jeff Bagwell, a reasonable expectation is created. Exactly what The Stache said. Expectations were high and he flopped. Wouldn't say he flopped had a solid first full season at 23. Wasn't terrible. Age 24 season last year was tough and struggled on an awful, struggling team. Hard to judge a guy who was young, developing, and stuck in an awful losing environment. There was no positives to build on for him. When you start to struggle on a team that loses over 200games in 2 years.... Hard to snap out of that. The losing mindset for someone that young is a real factor. HAmpers development.
  9. Hunter or Booker don't need to start, they just need a sniper off the bench. I'm all for taking another C/PF if the right one falls to is or we go get Cauley-stein but if not, you can never have enough guys who can shoot at a high clip.
  10. Thank goodness I don't let some on here handle my money/investments... People talk and act like giving out 15 million dollars is no big deal and it doesn't matter how good a player is. Middleton on a healthy Bucks team is nothing more than a role player. He's not one of our big 3 that we are building around and developing to take this team to next level. Don't get me wrong, I think he is very important piece, but not if you have to pay him double his worth. Prior we talked to end of season we all felt he was a 7-8 million player and debated if he was even worth 10...most were very questionable as to if he was even worth that. However now all these rumors pop up with his number going up and up & people are now willing to nearly max him out..... You don't max out role players. You don't clear out all that Ersan money to simply throw it all away on doubling a players worth.....there is no value in that. Sign Jordan (pipe dream but best case), Lopez, or Chandler. Draft Booker or Hunter to give us another sniper. I have been against Lopez for some time due to his lack of effort on defense and his inability to grab rebounds or block shots. However, if Kidd thinks he can get that out of him, think with how young this team is and developing....it could be nice to have a 20pt guy down low to feed and take pressure of them as well as free them up more. Chandler and Jordan are what we need, they fill that Sanders role that we lost except better offensive capabilities. Really hoping Booker drops but if not, Hunter is the guy I hope for. We just really need another shooter. Moreover, if some team is dumb enough to give 13-15 million to Middleton, well we are prepared to move on
  11. Excellent post! I was just about to say same thing! Like Gomez as well, he was pushed up 2 quickly and never really got the time he needed to develop. He was pushed to AA by 20 and was first called up at 21 I believe. His 2 full seasons were at 23/24 and he struggled. Some guys have the talent there and just take awhile to click. Always worth giving them a chance. Not like he is 29-30..... He is 25. Same age as Segura and Jimmy Nelson. Little young to say his career is over. How long did it take Nelson Cruz to figure it out? It happens, when you have very few options, why not roll the dice
  12. He's 25 and was once considered a top prospect. Hard to believe there is zero possibility he ever figures it out.... Some guys are just late bloomers, look no further than Gomez who many people screamed to toss away before he clicked. What's the problem with taking a chance, 25 is not a career over age....
  13. Ego. It's the same reason Carlos Rodon wouldn't sign. If you go back and read his past draft interviews. He was called around the 3-4 round saying he'd be drafted however then was passed over until like the 17th. He was very upset and made comments that if he was drafted when they said in the 4th, he would have been more willing to sign. Due to circumstances though, he took it personal and as a chip in the shoulder. Good call in end for him since he had amazing career and was picked #2 or #3 last year and already made it to MLB
  14. They said earlier in the season he is now concerted to a reliever
  15. I don't even consider this a bad thing. Get Bradley back to a neutral environment to succeed. Struggling is hard but when you play in a ballpark where pitchers are expected to struggle....not easy. Hopefully he fixes issues in Biloxi
  16. It's not automatic demotion, same as it was with Scooter, Tyrone Taylor, McFarland, Coulter, Denson, etc. either they hit ground running such as Tyrone and Scooter, do just enough to prove not to be too overmatched (then repeat) or the Coulter where they are just too over matched as Harrison and Gatewood were
  17. Finally!!! Someone else one else who agrees Reed is a Top 5 prospect! Hopefully this is a new trend! #freereed
  18. Kind of a shame now that Gatewood is back, starting to put it together and build his confidence through his performance that he will be sent back down. Harrison desperately needs to. He is so over matched and needs to regain some confidence
  19. Vlad Guererro Jr. Is said to have a 4.2 mil deal offer with think Blue Jays..... Time for Brewers to push chips up to 4.5mil and look him in! This may or may not have to dowith fact his dad was 1 if my all time favorites growing up
  20. I'll just keep beating the the Michael Reed drum... Guy is a top 5-10 prospect still being ranked by ppl in the 15-25 range. The only thing that makes me feel better is Michael Brantley was the same unloved way and now look....
  21. Burkhalter has been pretty good outside of 2 blow up 6 earned run outings, considering he will be 19 most of season and skipped over Helena I'm very happy with what he is doing. He was drafted as a projectible upper 80s command pitcher so hopefully he will start to get to that 91-94 range. He is now 6'3 190. Over last 4 he is 12ip 10 hits 2er 2bb 15ks Kodi has stuff, I don't think anyone will disagree with that. He does have ability to get it up to 92-94, however he is comfortable and In more control sitting 88-91. Overall he is just turned 19, is from Haiwaii which isn't known for developing arms, and learning how to pitch. Control and command are things he will really need to work on to harness his pure stuff but the hope is he will eventually be able to. Low arm slot is preferred but doesn't mean he will never be able to become a frontline guy. He just needs to learn to repeat it. This draft you need to get Aiken, Allard, Nikorak otherwise turn attention to Whitley, Betts, or any of there other high ceiling high school bats. Be nice if some of the ones like Cameron who are projected earlier drop down
  22. Nice thing about Colorado is next season Arcia, Taylor, Ramirez, Reed, and rest of that wave will be loading up the confidence tearing up the league. Negitive, pitching will be rough
  23. Great decision, he has had pitched great in top league and we could use some young, new blood. Jungmann hasn't earned the right to pitch even in AAA regardless to playing in Colorado. Thornburg just doesn't seem right, his velocity needs to get back up. His curve and change aren't as effective when he's not throwing hard & he doesn't locate well enough with his straight arrow fastball to not give up huge number of HRs not pitching in mid 90s.
  24. I remember when he was drafted, many scouts felt he could eventually be a 3b. His power hasn't come as much as some scouts thought it could yet. I believe he could play SS as a fill in but that's about it. Scooter was strictly a 2b with zero other options. What I like about Chris is those options are still there for him. I think he could be a solid MLB average 2b but if not think he could be a solid 2b/3b utility guy.
  25. Do you mean on this site or nationally because I was very complimentary of him last year. Overall and both. Maybe here or there he is talked about but he is not discussed often as a prospect. In our top 25, he ranked like 28th. I just feel he is highly underrated
