  1. I thought he was going to score easy. It was pretty obvious the ball wasn’t going to be caught and it took him awhile to get to 3rd Don't mind him taking it easy a bit, but does seem like he might be mursing something minor, as lots of guys are this time.of year.
  2. [sarcasm]Maybe the "bring back Braun" crowd and the "Braun to 3rd again" crowd will finally get their wish.[/sarcasm]
  3. I like Taylor, but he seems like just a guy. Freddy I think will be fine. Escobar is a big loss if he's out for a while.
  4. I fully trust the Brewers FO and analytics teams re: rest. The last two full Septembers tell the tale on that.
  5. The inability to get Lane Thomas out is really costing the Crew. I think the offense has 5 or 6 in it today, and, even if not, not a big deal to drop a series, but man. Frustrating to have been playing so well and then have it all fade from about the 5th inning in STL.
  6. Eh. He's about the textbook definition of a back end journeyman. He was a Brewer for awhile. Pretty sure we DFAed him at some point. He's not nearly as good as we're making him look. Generally, yes, but he IS pitching well today. Really putting the curve in good spots and mixing the fastball.
  7. Cousins has been great but has really struggled woth command in his last few appearances, it seems.
  8. And now you have to go to Cousins. Costs you a pitcher.
  9. Tough call in the bullpen. Don't want to use the A guys, but gotta keep it here. Norris over more than an inning seems too dicey. Probably would have cut bait after he got out of the 7th.
  10. It really is a weird obsession. I mean, yeah, the Reds are in 2nd place. But it is a wide cushion. Talk to me when they get it down to four game or some. Otherwise I don't care what they are doing. I don't think it's weird to track the Reds. But, yes, I agree that it makes no sense to worry about it until the lead really shrinks.
  11. Taylor looked totally lost in his two ABs, but never good to see him pulled. Brewers clearly committed to an off day for Yelich if Peterson is the sub. Fine with that I keep waiting for the Crew to run off like a 5-1 homestand. Still hoping that's this one.
  12. 2nd time through let's hope the offense is ready. Looking sluggish early. I blame the Cardinals for the stupid getaway day night game. Make them play at 10 pm next time they're here (half-blue).
  13. Yelich really has hit it hard tonight. Showing some positive signs.
  14. Curious about why they took Adames out. Seems like straight up double-switch with Escobar would have made more sense. He did make the last out. Sure it's just getting Urias a rep at short, or giving Wily a break, or maybe he's just nursing a small something. Not worried about it, but thought it odd.
  15. Thinking about these three, I think the Crew should be happy with 2. Didn't hit much in games one or two. Got some breaks, pitched really well, came out ahead. Left a lot of runners on base tonight, didn't get the usual execution from Woodruff. Let Milner sop up the next 5 outs, hope you get a Cardinal bullpen implosion, and, if not, you're in good shape with your most reliable relievers for a home series with a team you match up well against.
