  1. CG shutout our way to victory! Bummed for Yelich especially. But you do atill have to play the games. And you are still right in it.
  2. Doesn't this just mean Yeli pinch-hits and hits a GW homer in Game 7 of the World Series?
  3. Well, great job by Jackson. Now some combo of guys must get 9 outs.
  4. Jackson. I guess this in line with the "who else is there?" school of thought.
  5. They brought in Braun to PH against the lefty and then the Marlins brought in the righty. Got it. Looked away at the wrong time.
  6. Does Kinley have reverse splits or something? Odd to bring in a righty for Thames and pinch hit a righty no?
  7. Yeah, Albers looked un-sharp. But made the pitch he needed to. Keep putting together good ABs and cash a couple more.
  8. Walk to Berti is a killer. Gotta throw strikes there. Some bad luck too. Hope Albers can find a way out.
  9. A sac bunt! Trying for a hit probably, but still... Get 'em in!
  10. Fangraphs has us at 19.2 percent to make the playoffs. 538 has us at 18. That's the best in the current chase pack. I think you need to be 13-7 at least here. With the number of teams in contention, 87 wins seems like it will be the minimum. 14-6 would put you in pretty good shape for at least a playoff to get to the playoffs.
  11. I'm going to keep talking bad about Hernan. What is he swinging at, anyway? (blue)
  12. Well, he wouldn't be coming out if it was all a ruse. The ball hit him. It was scary. Let's not get carried away. The point is, if you're going to remove him anyway, why let him run the bases? It just makes it seem like you're waiting for a more convenient time to worry about your guy's brain.
  13. Could have been worse. I think it'll take more than 3 today. Usually does at MP. Need the bottom of the order to get on base. Long way from over.
  14. Yeah, I don't understand staying in the game either. The ball went back to the backstop, but it looked like more than a glancing blow.
  15. Perez is an Arb guy right? So he can be non-tendered? Yikes on that FB from Hauser.
  16. Man, Perez just puts up brutal ABs. It's like watching Chris Carter without the easy power...
  17. Boy, Braun missed a pitch there. Needs to be driven somewhere, even if it's at an outfielder. There you go, Adrian, I guess! Make it hold up!
  18. Hey, at the very least, we damaged the Cubs playoff hopes this weekend. Win tomorrow and our own will still be in the "not over yet" range.
  19. I agree completely, but the math is the math. If you are playing to have the best chance at the playoffs, Hader is the only move in the 8th, right? I mean, I am open to a good argument that it's not, but I am having a hard time finding one myself. Maybe we put a 7'run inning, and it's moot. Hope so.
  20. Seriously. Why is he not in to start the inning? Just seems silly. You want him to pitch tonight! Put him in at the first, brst opportunity!
