Willy has the stuff. He just has to work on his control. If he can master his pitches, I have no doubt that Willy will live up to the hype. Peralta is a bright spot on a very weak rotation. Watching him grow will be fun. If he can develop a consistently decent change-up to go with a nasty slider and the heat, he will be an ace. Today was an encouraging sign for the future.

nice effort from segura, just botched the throw. he will learn.

weak at-bats from yuni, bianchi, and peralta. i think peralta could have caused some trouble with the throw if he had ran hard. he completely dogged it.

That's been my theory for the past 2 weeks now. There's just no way the Brewers are truly as bad as their record says they are. The Cubs are not better than the Brewers. I'm not sure if they are completely tanking, but it doesn't look like they are giving 100% effort. Segura, Aoki, and Gomez are the only that look like they're playing hard. Braun's been slacking. Lucroy's been slacking. I don't know about Aramis. It wouldn't surprise me if this team started playing better the moment RRR got canned. Brewers might be pulling a 2012 Red Sox on RRR.
