  1. nice performance from marco. he needed that. hopefully the team scores some insurance runs to make henderson's job a little easier.
  2. don't be surprised if we sweep them. pittsburgh still sucks. miller park is a danger zone for the pirates.
  3. Hopefully Burgos gets healthy soon. I think he can be a contributer. If not as a starter then as a reliever.
  4. Honestly I am a little concerned about the future. The Cardinals, Cubs, and Reds all have the ability to outspend the Brewers by a lot. The Reds, Cubs, Cardinals, and Pirates all have top 100 prospects coming through the system. It's likely that there will be busts for them. Not all of those prospects are going to work out. The Brewers do not have much. None of the Brewers prospects are in the top 100. There are no future aces in the minors. As always the team has some rookie hitters that are projected to be contributers. I don't there are any Fielder or Braun types in the minors. Unfortunately the Brewers are a small-market team. That means that the team gets 5 to 7 good years followed by a mediocre period. Doug Melvin has made the future a little foggy. I think that it is going to take awhile to stock the farm system again. I hate trading away players that we have become accustomed to, but it might time to do so. The Brewers need to improve the scouting system. Hire better scouts and start investing most of the budget into the farm system. The Brewers should model their system after St. Louis, Oakland or Tampa Bay. The Cards, A's and Rays are constantly recycling. The only way for the Brewers to stay competitive is to have a healthy system that constantly produces players. The Cardinals are always competitive because of their farm system. When their current group gets old, they have another one ready to go. Oscar Taveras is going to be a pain in the butt for a long time. They have a bunch of young pitchers that are projected to be great players. They might have a future closer in Trevor Rosenthal. I think the playoff runs have ended for the Brewers. I think that we are going to enter a bit of a mediocre period for a few years. That mediocre period will not be as bad as the early Ben Sheets days. I think that the Brewers most of the time will be somewhere between 75 to 84 wins. Not awful but kind of mediocre. This years team is missing an ace that's it. The offense is good. The bullpen is average. If the Brewers had an ace, everyone else in the rotation would fall into place. 1. Ace 2. Gallardo 3. Lohse 4. Estrada 5. Peralta Right now everyone is bumped up to a spot that they probably shouldn't be at. The bullpen will have good stretches followed by bad stretches. That is what an average bullpen does. The lineup will be fine when Hart comes back. Everyone will go back to their normal spots again. 1. Aoki 2. Segura 3. Braun 4. Ramirez 5. Hart 6. Gomez 7. Lucroy 8. 2B 9. Pitcher It will look something like that, either way it is a great lineup. Trading for an ace would kill the farm system. The Brewers should give away the little that they have. What about signing one? It could be a very expensive short-term deal? Any aces projected to hit free agency?
  5. glad to see that someone on the team is speaking up. braun is the leader of this team. when the leader talks everyone listens. i hope this lights a fire under someone's ass. rickie, kranitz, RRR, pitchers are you guys listening?
  6. I think that his problem is all mental. The talent is there. Axford didn't lose his talent overnight. I think his problem might be that he's forgotten what he did that made him great in 2011. The hekyll and jyde act has caused him some problems. Three straight positive appearances is progress. Do you think he will ever be 2011 Axford again?
  7. I agree 100%. The same can be said of game threads from every website and every fanbase. Game threads are filled with thoughts about the current game. Most of the posts are short posts regarding things that happened in the game. When the Brewers are playing well, the posts will be positive. When the Brewers are playing bad they are going to be negative. Tonight the team deserves good comments because of their good performance. The team deserved the negative comments they received for their pathetic peformance this month. Fans don't always have to sugarcoat things and be positive. When the team plays bad they deserve to get called out. I'll be the first one to praise Axford when he pitches well.
  8. i wish i could have watched this game. the dodgers are blacking out their feed here in vegas. how did the crowd react to greinke?
  9. I hope you don't make a habit of "putting your money where your mouth is" using that kind of analysis. Of course, you do have have the word Vegas in your username... are you one of those fans that still thinks weeks is worth a damn? the lineup is much better without him
  10. nice lineup for once. no rickie means we might score more than 2 runs tonight. brewers win
  11. :angry :angry Everyone knew it, still doesn't make it any more watchable. It is becoming quite un-enjoyable to watch this nonsense day after day, night after night... I have to ask again, is RRR completely untouchable as far as job security? I think he is. i wouldn't get mad when the brewers lost during the ben sheets years. they just sucked and i knew it. this year is beyond frustrating because there is talent on this team. we are wasting the prime years of braun's career. brewers get great players once every 20 years. we had a golden opportunity back when we had fielder. im already counting the days until football season. this is going to be a bad, frustrating, and boring year. 77-85 here we come. Yup, agreed. Back then it was pretty much expected to lose more than we win, but with a little taste of success in the past few years, I have come to expect a lot more. It is depressing really... i watch because im insane and well jean segura and aoki are fun to watch. i think that roenicke is fine as an assistant coach. he's too nice. i'm not asking for a bobby valentine type of manager. i want a manager that is calm and cool but knows when to yell at people. these brewers are just like RRR. lifeless

  13. lol what did i tell you? i knew he would bring in gonzalez. ron forfeit roenicke.
  14. a lucky hit or two and maybe the good hitters will get a shot
  15. the smart thing would be to send out aramis to hit. RRR will bring in alex gonzalez.
  16. braun's great and everything but he's kind of stupid. he swings at a lot of bad pitches
  17. ...............................................................................wow
  18. i miss the 2011 Brewers. that was a fun season and team.
  19. and again they waste another opportunity. its getting comical how bad this team is.
  20. and this is why the brewers are the brewers and the cardinals are the cardinals. 2 men on and no one out. cardinals would have scored at least 2 runs. brewers best hitters proceed to do nothing. how do you think lohse is feeling now? this damn team never gives any run support. i bet the guy feels like he has to give a super human effort every time he pitches.
  21. Jean Segura is really fun to watch. I hope the team can sign him long-term. He can hit, has a strong arm, great instincts, great defensive skills. Awesome player. Brewers haven't had a legit SS since JJ Hardy.
  22. brewers are approaching milwaukee bucks level of interest for me. i haven't been this down about the brewers since the horror days of the turnblow, geoff jenkins, dave bush brewers. god those were some sh!tty teams.
