  1. The silver lining it our bullpen is still very strong, Anderson looked shaky and is up to 84 pitches through 5, and we had a fair amount of better atbats there...also we've generally had better atbats against the braves bullpen arms
  2. jeez that was tough. well struck just couldn't beat freeman
  3. Good AB by Wong so far. He seems to be seeing it well. Now smack one to RF down the line.
  4. I like the decision regardless of my opinion on Peralta. Bullpen is a strength. Houser can go multiple innings.
  5. You keep saying this but Freddy's 3rd time through stats were some of the best in baseball this year... 1st PA : .160 OPP BA, .565 OPS, OPS+ 61 2nd PA: .165 OPP BA, .544 OPS, OPS+ 47 3rd PA: .174 OPP BA, ..566 OPS, OPS+ 49 He's remarkably consistent no matter which time through the order. And oh btw, he has that same trend throughout his career. I'm mostly referring to how the Braves are seeing his pitches specifically today. He might normally do fine but I don't have a ton of confidence in him facing these guys a 3rd time.
  6. I honestly feel like Cain should come out, not sure how effective he'll be at the plate as shaken up as he probably is.
  7. Oh boy, Cain hurt himself. I thought he had it for a sec
  8. The one by Albies I was a bit surprised by, but none of the other ones sounded great off the bat. Probably off the end of the bat a bit.
  9. I know Peralta's pitch count is low, but I really don't want this lineup to see him a 3rd time. I hope he pitches at most through the 5th inning.
  10. I kinda feel like the Braves have scouted out every hole in every one of our players swings, and are just exploiting it over and over again. Avi on the inside fastball, Tellez changeup fading off the plate. Both swung and missed at those pitches at least twice today already.
  11. Wow that was an ugly throw down by D'arnaud. Might have to look at more running...if we get on base of course.
  12. Adames just struck out on it, but those were some not well placed changeups...which hopefully is good news.
  13. Nice pitch Peralta...sigh of relief there. I wouldn't hate seeing us attack early this inning. Anderson has been throwing a lot of first pitch strikes and I expect he'll continue. Even if it means a potentially easy inning, I don't think it would be a bad strategy to get aggressive.
  14. I personally would be hesitant to let these Braves hitters see Peralta a 3rd time. Soler had some really good looks at that slider.
  15. Get Soler here so Freeman bats next inning with nobody on base...
