  1. If by chance the Brewers ever took a lead into the 7th inning, who are the 3 relievers supposed to be who would be used to protect the lead? Megill is one, but who else?
  2. I definitely do not think the bats are the issue. My comment was meant to be sarcastic.. Some people are trying to make excuses for what is a very serious problem. A six day rotation of Peralta, Cortes, and 4 bullpen days is doomed to failure and certain to put a strain on several pitchers in the bullpen. And when the “good news” is that Woodruff, Quintana, and Meyers “might” be ready by May, concerns for this season run a lot deeper than getting swept the first weekend. The team might be digging a hole in April that will be hard to climb out of.
  3. One thing about the horrible pitching is that it has taken the spotlight off of how anemic the hitting has been. The 9 runs on Saturday were a mirage created by Yankees errors and indifference.
  4. Guess we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to get through a full inning without being behind.
  5. Why waste Bauers in a game like this. He might be needed if the game is close tomorrow.
  6. It doesn’t help the morale that Yelich, Contreras, and Chourio have all looked awful at the plate.
  7. How many call ups are there going to be for the bullpen games the next two days.?
  8. I think the tone of resignation reflected that the Yankees were likely to add on several more runs against the succession of bums the Brewers are forced to send to the mound. Subsequent events have borne that out.
  9. You still have to get the bat on the ball and hot it with some authority. That's something a decent major league pitcher can help prevent.
  10. Guys on the IL is part of the disaster, but it is also a fact.. t's not like they have any sure things among the pitchers on the IL, most of whom have been more on than off the IL for the last two years.
  11. You know that a starting rotation is a disaster when a team schedules a bullpen day for the fourth game of its season. The home opener, no less. then, when two of the three starters can’t get through more than a couple of innings, the bullpen is stressed even further. It’s hard to believe that it was only three years ago that the Brewers had one of the best rotations in MLB backed up by two of the best relievers in the league. Now they have nothing but question marks in the rotation and in the bullpen. This could be the season where the formula that produced good records is not going to work.
  12. Levering is such a boob. Says that after Chourio’s flyout it will take a Herculean effort to hit one out today. Maybe hit them not so high and more down the lines.
  13. Wind blowing in so finally the Brewers start hitting the ball in the air.
  14. It’s just one game and, of course, there will be stinkers in any season. But when the pitching staff, especially the starting rotation, is a big question coming into the season it’s pretty unsettling to see a disaster like today
  15. Couldn’t even win the inning after scoring 3.
  16. OMG. Is Levering trying to tell us that the ball Turang hit in the ninth inning on Thursday would’ve been a home run in any other park?
  17. That should take care of Mitchell for a few months.
  18. Their, pitchers don’t seem to have any problems keeping the ball in the park.
  19. Maybe put the MVP talk for Chourio on hold for awhile I don’t think he needs that kind of pressure
  20. Hard to complain about breaks when the Brewers have had one hard hit ball all day.
  21. It isn't a wrestling match where an advantage gets one point. Some of these are pretty debatable, like Ortiz over Volpe and Mitchell and Bellinger a push. And the gap of Judge over Frelick would be worth about 4 points
  22. With 4 LH hitters against a LHP, including Frelick batting fifth, I’d have to say no.
