  1. Collins had a pinch hit yesterday and one after replacing Mitchell on Friday so that may have earned him a spot today. He smoked the ball in his first AB today.
  2. Look out below. This is a team that is full of holes. . we got spoiled with the bullpens the Brewers have had in recent years, and now it’s just one of many weak spots
  3. That was a completely different kind of play. Even though I think that was bogus, his “defense” is that throwing his hand up is part of his slide. It had nothing to do with taking a direct line to the base. What made this one tough is that it isn’t entirely clear from the angle of the replay if Chourio was going in a straight line to the base, or if he veered to his left and more on to the grass before throwing his hand up.
  4. As expected, benching Chourio on my fantasy team has helped him out of his hitting doldrums. i’ll have to put him back in tomorrow because I need points badly.
  5. This team had a lot of question marks coming into the season and so far the answers to most of those questions have not been positive.
  6. The Brewers offense says “Norhing to worry about Giants fans”.
  7. Brewers have not won a game yet this season when giving up more than three runs. Will today be the first?
  8. I think this is what concerns me and several other people. A disproportionate number of the Brewers runs have come in very lopsided wins and a couple of lopsided losses. The number of games in which they have scored two or less is alarming.
  9. The Cubs look pretty scary when you factor in the schedule they have played so far. It isn’t even May yet and they have already completed their season series against the Dodgers, Padres, and Diamondbacks , three of the top teams in the NL. They have also played a series against the Rangers and play the Phillies this weekend. to have the record they have against that schedule is pretty impressive.
  10. I have the solution for Chourio’s problem. I’ll bench him on my fantasy team. That usually produces results. His scouting report is very simple. Throw him sweeping curve balls at least a foot off the plate. .
  11. Bullpen game tomorrow and he figured they weren’t going to score against Miller anyway.
  12. I don’t post that much here anymore because more often than not the site does not work for me It is so bloated with ads that I’m often not able to either type or dictate anything.. I don’t have problems like this on any other site
  13. That’s a pretty bizarre interpretation. It was simply pointing out a fact that highlights that pitching and defense have been the primary factor in the Brewers being above .500. I guess I would prefer that they score more runs more often so they can win some more games.
  14. This is the real message. 13 runs allowed in 11 games will produce a lot of wins. They haven’t won a game this season when allowing more than 3 runs.
  15. The trip to Colorado certainly helped that runs per game total. Especially that 17 run game.
  16. No, just trying to repeat last Saturday’s meltdown by refusing to start an inning with the closer in a non save situation.
  17. His worst is “Sweeeeeng and a miss”.
  18. There was no reason for confidence to be soaring after the series against the flu ridden Reds and the horrible Rockies (who failed to score in their weekend series against the Padres). There is also no reason to be in the pits of despair now, unless it's facing the reality that this Brewers team has a pretty low ceiling and is probably no match for the Cubs, who are scoring runs in buckets and are 11-7 with a run differential of +43 while playing a very difficult early schedule.
  19. I hope for your sake that you're not expecting much from the Bucks. They should have a competitive series against the Pacers, but that's it.
  20. It’s take one for the club night for Alexander.
  21. Might be looking for alternative entertainment tonight. Skubal probably has all the runs he needs and there will probably be more the way the Tigers were pounding Alexander.
  22. Not exactly the matchup you want to see trying to prevent a losing streak. A hot team with their Cy Youngaward-winning ace on the mound. A lefty no less.
  23. You never know, but when the pitcher is warmed up and ready to come in and then you sit him down, he may not be as sharp when he gets back up and is rushed into the game. And by then he has less of a cushion to work with.
