  1. The Reds and Brewers are holding the door open for the Cubs to take over the division.
  2. Nobody intentionally misses by as much as he missed on some of those pitches.
  3. Hopefully that WP removes the DP threat. But Ks still don’t advance runners.
  4. More non competitive pitches from Burnes. Playing with fire now. In a game where 1 run could lose it.
  5. You’re entitled to your opinion but I won’t draw conclusions on a player at this embryonic stage of his MLB career and 1 AB against a low end LHP in a blowout game.
  6. I hear your opinion, but I haven’t seen enough to conclude that he is absolutely better than Taylor, especially against a LHP
  7. Burnes has had an annoying number of non competitive 2 strike pitches tonight. it annoys me because it adds pitches to his count and suggests that his command is not at its best. Some times that is an omen for a bad inning coming up.
  8. He’s also had a couple of big HRs in recent starts.
  9. I was hoping that my bringing it up would serve as a counter curse.
  10. Like the Reds coming back from a 6-0 deficit to win? That may or may not happen.
  11. The Braves only have one HR so far today.
  12. Cubs punching back at the Braves. 5-0 after 1.
  13. Not expecting complaints, but maybe recognize that when pitches are right on the edge like that some are going to go your way and some aren’t.
  14. That’s a whole different issue than declaring “It was ball 4” like some declared on the Yelich K.
  15. Even though he took what Gameday shows as a “clear strike”. Not hearing any complaints about it.
  16. The Pirates are doing their best to hand the Brewers this game with walks and misplays, but the Brewers hitters are too incompetent to take advantage of it.
  17. Two more lucky hits by the Pirates drop in.
  18. I don’t know what the other sources show, but using the standards applied to the controversial call on Sunday, according to Game Day the 3-2 pitch to Yelich was a “clear strike” with the ball kissing the top of the strike zone.
  19. Can’t let this guy off the hook again. Two runs minimum, preferably more.
  20. Nats up 6-3 over the Reds, top of 10.
  21. Schroeder is as bad as Levering when it comes to sounding like the Brewers are always so unlucky. The Pirates have hit some shots so don’t make it sound like they have been so lucky.
  22. The Phillies do have more options to hit higher than the Brewers do.
  23. Check your math BA. The tying run is not at the plate.
