  1. Yep, I'm nervous he's going to pull him after Pagan no matter what happens.
  2. I think it's the word "apparently" in that quote that makes it seem snarky. Like he feels a three something ERA is great. It was just talked about in an IGT that it seems like every team has 3 guys with sub 3 ERA. In today's game a 3 something out of the pen really isn't set up stuff. As for Estrada I think he has more value to this team as a long reliever than in any other spot.
  3. Is there a record for shortest distance traveled down the first base line on a fair ball? Willy just went exactly 0 feet.
  4. Tomorrow's starter may be Roberto Hernandez instead of Beckett. Dodgers acquired him and stated he will replace Beckett in the rotation. Not sure if it will be effective tomorrow or not.
  5. I think they let him stay. Should depend on the logo on the front of his shirt.
  6. Link http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/mlb/story/_/id/11322352/los-angeles-dodgers-acquire-rhp-roberto-hernandez-philadelphia-phillies
  7. Dodgers acquire Roberto Hernandez/Fausto Carmona and announce he will replace Josh Beckett in the rotation. Not sure if it will be for tomorrow's game or not.
  8. Strike out, swinging bunt, and a bleeder up the middle. Man, I would feel better about a double off the wall. At least they earn it, this is just bad luck.
  9. 14 walks all year and a OBP now under .270. Hopefully he can improve the plate discipline going forward.
  10. Seems like this should be 3-0. Hopefully we aren't talking about the missed chances later on.
  11. He's is going to start on Sunday I believe.
  12. Brewers acquired Jay Jackson from the Pirates for cash. AAA arm that was a top 100 prospect back in 2010. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20140807&content_id=88414550&notebook_id=88422100&vkey=notebook_mil&c_id=mil
  13. Good thing we're not playing the Cards or Diamondbacks. This many up and in fastballs would have been retaliated on by now.
  14. his quotes really bother me for some reason Yea, didn't sit well with me either. Came off as he feels entitled to something.
  15. According to an article on Brewers website today he feels he should be the 8th inning guy. Some rather odd quotes in there. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20140807&content_id=88414550&notebook_id=88421942&vkey=notebook_mil&c_id=mil
  16. I am absolutely shocked that Gomez sees first pitch strikes. For as often as he swings first pitch I can't believe a pitcher would throw the first pitch within two feet of the plate.
  17. Good work by Willy to get out of it. Early last year I'm pretty sure there would have been a blow up after the HBP. He has matured a ton over the past year.
  18. Giants sure are finding holes, getting singled to death
  19. Quad's still not right enough. Would rather see Herrera in the lineup than Weeks though, he's been playing fairly well. Yea, there was a couple different times yesterday you could see a slight limp still.
  20. This may be the most useless pitching change of the year! Boy does RRR burn through arms at an alarming rate.
  21. Actually have Dodgers-Cubs-Dodgers, so will see Kershaw twice in a week. Jimmy Nelson's next two starts are against him. Good luck Jimmy.
