  1. Shaw hit a walk off grand slam today. Watching the highlight made me think he gained about 20 pounds… maybe it’s the red jersey…
  2. The Padres remaining schedule is absolutely brutal. I think the Reds getting the last wildcard is very realistic.
  3. I said it in jest, but honestly Shaw wouldn’t be the worst guy to have around right now, even to use as a defensive replacement at 1B as well.
  4. How is the tavern of the game the Cardinal Cage? Should’ve been disqualified just for having the word Cardinal in it!
  5. [sarcasm]Sign Thornburg and then trade him to Boston for Travis Shaw[/sarcasm] …worked the first time.
  6. The depth of this team is amazing. This essentially means Urias plays a lot more, which isn’t a terrible thing.
  7. Base running on this team with Wong, Yelich, Cain, etc is amazing. Hard to put a number on runs gained, but we have for sure swiped some runs lately!
  8. Stearns goes into the booth with Uecker and the radio just randomly cut to commercial with 1 out.
  9. He’s 9 for his last 28. I know .321 isn’t a crazy hot streak especially without HR, but he’s been at least serviceable on the road trip.
  10. That whole inning was either wow or WOW. Keeps falling behind in counts he’ll get burned eventually, but his pure stuff is some of the best in our pen.
  11. No, they said last week that he won’t play this pre-season.
  12. See the new special teams coordinator fits right in…
  13. If he really got knocked around for the 4 runs maybe. The fact that it was mostly bad luck and some bad defense, I think they take a couple more innings given the double header.
  14. It must’ve been starters in the National League because Jameson Taillon has been incredible over 43.1 IP since July 1st. He has a 1.25 ERA over that time. Anderson has a 1.40 ERA over 25.2 IP since July 1st. It could’ve been NL. Walker Buehler was 2nd I believe and there was one other non-Brewer.
  15. Pirates broadcast put up a graphic that Anderson has the best ERA in all of baseball since July 1st. Burns, Houser, and Lauer were also top 6, all four guys under 2.00 ERA since July 1st.
  16. Kind of odd post since he’s actually showed some signs of life lately. He’s scored 2 runs each of last two games, is 3 for his last 10, still getting on base, and hit a baseball at 107 mph right before you posted.
  17. Rock is back and now BA is gone again? Quite the announcer carrousel this year. … and for the love of god, someone get Escobar some bigger pants!!!
