    Had the same reaction. Wonder if Maile even gets an AB. Even if he doesn't, there are really no changes I'd make to this roster. Facing a lefty, Maile on the roster allows Omar to PH against a RHP late game instead of having to save him. Maile may not bat, and his presence allowing Omar to PH is useful.

    Morton getting a real big zone this inning. He doesn’t need any help right now, jeesh

    I don't think that he signs a multi year deal while we are in the middle of a season that he was too injured to play in so far. Think the most likely scenario is that he signs with a contender to finish out this year, hopes to play well, and sign a multi year deal this off-season. Odd day in the NFL with Jaylon Smith being released by the Cowboys too, after he served as a captain this weekend.

    It may be worth considering Jim Leonard as the head coach before we lose him, and bringing in a slightly more creative OC. Think the power run game has to be our identity, but the offense has to open up a little or we will continue to rely on 3 star receivers most of the time. We’ve put some WR into the NFL, but man this offense is a tough sell to WR recruits.

    One of the worst parts of this is the OL which is our only big advantage, was completely whipped for most of the day, including the tackles in pass protection.
