How many games into a season do you need to be before WAR becomes a viable stat?

He’s got crazy movement at 98. He probably should get more of a chance than 1 mistake in his MLB debut, and it wasn’t even that bad of a pitch.

Shifted all the way around to the right side, but first 3 pitches off the plate down and outside. Your asking it to get slapped down the 3rd baseline. Especially at 98 he’s not pulling that. On the bright side, that’s heavy sink at 98.

I don’t know what lasting effects from that injury would completely derail a career. Has there been instances where guys never bounced back from that?

Lindbloom patiently nibbles his way through 30 pitches across 25 minute half innings, and the offense promptly goes 1-2-3 in about two and a half minutes.

Stearns has operated so heavily on 1-2 year deals. Seems odd that Lindbloom gets a 3 year deal with no MLB track record of success.

Give Rasmussen a shot in the rotation. At least your getting a young promising arm some experience. He can’t be worse.

Depends on the school. Some are postponing till spring. Otherwise fall is starting a couple weeks later. I think it's pretty likely the fall season gets cancelled at some point though. If not because of mass school closures then due to the logistics of some schools getting shut down for a few weeks and the scheduling logistics just being impossible. Practice can start Sept 7th. The conference were in is staying fall. North of GB you might as well get what you can out of fall. The spring football season would start March 1st. Our field would be snow covered yet, then a mud pit for a few weeks. Spring football is unrealistic up here. We will go practice, weight room, inter-squad scrimmages, heck even flag 7 on 7 before moving to spring. -
Couldn’t put it in play with 4 strikes. No doubt Mathias gives a better AB.

The true test will come over the next month and two main events. 1. Kids going back to school. 2. Furnaces coming on. Arizona was one of the biggest spikes in summer. Right during peak heat, that causes central air units to work overtime and people to pile indoors. You know, like the opposite reflection of what winter does to Big 10 cities with cold. I don’t see sports maintaining during late fall/winter months in the north. Time will tell, but WINTER IS COMING!
