  1. …these hats, they are real?
  2. Looking closer at 2024 team stats, they sure are unfavorable to Brewer pitching. FIP and PRAA, etc. Our BABIP allowed was #4 in baseball…which I assume is defense and luck. Still, when we had Burnes, Woodruff and Peralta the Brewers were considered an elite pitching team. Now we have Peralta, Woodruff (mostly) and a cast of other talented arms and we are now just the ‘defense’ team. That might be true, I suppose 🤷‍♂️
  3. Fair. I trust there are stats for this but is every other pitching staff throwing in front of bad defenses? The Brewers bullpen isn’t very good?
  4. Anyone hopeful the Cubs are 0-2 by the time we finish breakfast on Wednesday? Will the Pirates have their customary ‘fast start’ before fading fast? Are the Reds ready to be above .500? Has anyone heard from the Cardinals?
  5. I appreciate MLB.com rankings are meaningless. However, it seems MLB.com barely has Milwaukee with a ‘top 15’ pitching staff. The Brewers had the fifth best team ERA in baseball last year. If the Tigers and Guardians didn’t have so many games against the White Sox, I believe Milwaukee would have had the third best team ERA in baseball. Yes, we lost 21.2 innings of Devin Williams, but added Nestor Cortes in a contract year. Plus, Woodruff might be healthy and I feel like we have even more talented arms that will contribute in 2025. Can Brewer pitching be even better than last year? link
  6. I appreciate the positive ending of Go Brewers!
  7. Let’s try to not get this thread locked 🙂 The Brewers will be ok. If Shane Smith is more than 1.5 WAR in 2025 it will be disappointing but not emotionally devastating. I will take the under on 1.5 WAR for Shane.
  8. The Internet suggests Nelly can be booked for less than $100,000. https://seattletalentbuying.com/artists/nelly/ If Terrace level tickets are $24 apiece on June 27 then the Brewers would only need to sell around 4,000 additional Terrace level tickets to turn a profit. Not counting parking or additional concessions purchased. I bet this makes money for the Brewers. At least a little bit. Bonus points if we put Nelly in Brewers apparel during a Cardinals series
  9. The Brewers should only market themselves to people who were alive for 1982. And keep ticket prices at 1982 levels.
  10. Nelly was certainly relevant 25 years ago. Not sure Shaq’s music ever has been, though.
  11. Edit: forgot this was optimism thread
  12. The R visible helps 🙂
  13. I recall Ben Sheets having career WHIP over 2.00 for spring training.
  14. Sounds like Woodruff pitches today in a minor league game. Link
  15. Brian Kenny of MLB Network predicts 8 WAR season for Chourio
  16. Thought this could go here: Jackson Chourio had more win probability added WPA than any other player after June 2 except Ohtani and Judge. Incredible.
  17. Did anyone ever turn on Sheets? I recall everyone wishing he would stay healthy but always loving Ben. Perhaps mad at the situation of having a fancy car in the garage that you can’t drive.
  18. Did we ever get a satisfying explanation for why Hudson was sent to Nashville last season?
  19. Capra’s 1.600 OPS somehow holds through all ST?
  20. At what point does Capra earn the opening day start at 3B?
  21. Makes me wonder why no one else wants that production at that price?
