  1. 1.6 Dakota Hudson I enjoy reading what other people voted and their explanations. I'd keep the format the same.
  2. 1.5 Blake Rutherford The Brewers haven't picked someone I've predicted since Clint Coulter.
  3. I immediately want to change my mind to 1:3 Perez. That's allowed, right?
  4. I'm not a fan of the idea that you need to be ridiculously bad for 2-3 before you can start getting better during a rebuild. This year should be the low point, and every year after, the goal should be improvement. Does that mean going and signing a bunch of overpriced free agents? No. It means, we keep what worked (Carter, Villar), retool what didn't work (Hill, Jungmann), and pepper in guys from the minors while restocking the farm by trading away expiring contracts.
  5. I would suggest the NFL playoff model. Top two teams get a bye, and the two other division winners host two wild card teams in a best of three series. My expansion votes: Portland (AL) and Indianapolis (NL)
  6. I'm okay with talent lingering in AA, and AAA being used for depth to start the year. Those AAAA players are the ones that are going to be bounced from the minors to the majors and back down again multiple times this year. I'd rather Peterson be utilized in that way then someone like Maverick. I'm sure by the end of May injury and performance will shake everything up to what people are wanting/expecting.
  7. 1. Orlando Arcia 2. Maverick Phillips 3. Gilbert Lara 4. Josh Hader 5. Jorge Lopez 6. Trent Clark 7. Kodi Medeiros 8. Clint Coulter 9. Monte Harrison 10. Nate Kirby 11. Isan Diaz 12. Michael Reed 13. Jacob Nottingham 14. Cody Ponce 15. Demi Orimoloye 16. Zach Davies 17. Devin Williams 18. Jacob Gatewood 19. Tyrone Taylor 20. Colin Walsh 21. Bubba Derby 22. Sean Nolin 23. Garin Cecchini 24. Taylor Williams 25. Yadiel Rivera 26 Ramon Flores 27. Marcus Diplan 28. Rymer Liriano 29. Freddy Peralta 30. Damien Magnifico 31. Keon Broxton 32. Jacob Barnes 33. Victor Roache
  8. I honestly think the best option is to have Santana as the "Starter" in CF, but to move him to the corners to spell Davis and Braun often. If that's the case, the other two outfielders on the bench will have to be able to cover center. By the end of the year, I see Davis gone and Reed in CF.
  9. 1. Arcia 2. Phillips 3. Lara 4. Medeiros 5. T Clark 6. Coulter 7. Lopez 8. Davies 9. Harrison 10. Reed 11. Gatewood 12. T Taylor 13. Orimoloye 14. Houser 15. D. Williams 16. Wagner 17. Roache 18. Hader 19. Denson 20. Diplan 21. Wang 22. Riveria 23. Ponce 24. Cravy 25. Sneed
  10. Indianapolis and Portland would be my choices. I'm a bit biased.
  11. 1. Arcia 2. Taylor 3. Coulter 4. Harrison 5. Lara 6. D. Williams 7. Medeiros 8. Knebel 9. Wren 10. Jungmann 11. J Lopez 12. Diplan 13. Gatewood 14. T. Williams 15. M Reed 16. T Wagner 17. Denson 18. Wang 19. Bradley 20. Hellweg 21. Goforth 22. Cravy 23. M Clark 24. T Neuhaus 25. D'Vo Next Five: Rattaree, Y. Rivera, Roach, Demuth, Ramirez
  12. I like Davis getting 70% of starts in LF. Gomez getting 90% in CF. Braun getting 85% in RF. Parra would get the remaining 55%, plus be a defensive replacement/PH.
  13. I believe every SP in the rotation has an above average chance of winning any game started. We aren't counting the days until Sheets pitches anymore. If the offense is even league average, I think we can contend for a playoff spot.
  14. I think Parra is going to be more valuable than people think. Braun and Gomez are inevitably going to need time off, and Davis shouldn't be starting 162 games. Does anyone really want to see Schaffer start a significant number of games?
  15. I don't think any farmhands or NRI guys are going to come close to giving us what Parra can. I think he's worth it.
  16. Lind is clearly an upgrade. I don't hate the idea of bringing back Reynolds: Solid defense, RH power bat off the bench. Having Parra and Reynolds at the front of the bench is something I can get behind.
  17. SF has built a team around very good pitching in a very pitcher friendly park. This is one of the reasons I don't fault the Brewers for stressing power when they play at Miller Park.
