  1. Yelich debuts today against SF.
  2. But back to Yeli. When I first found out you could have knocked me over with a feather. Now we know why we let both Yaz and Moose walk. Let's hope Mark A and company can surround our MVP with a good team around him going forward.
  3. I think he would be a HOFer if he hadn't messed with HGH. It is all too sad because he lied about it. The cover-up is always worse than the 'crime'.
  4. Let's hope this is a sign of things to come.
  5. I like this signing a lot more than Sogard, that's for sure...
  6. Good to see Yeli at the NBA All Star Dunk contest allowing Pat Connaughton to leap over him! https://www.nba.com/bucks/gallery/pat-connaughton-competes-2020-att-slam-dunk-contest
  7. I would be ashamed and very disappointed if Stearns and Counsell were guilty of this kind of activity!
  8. Let's hope Stearns isn't done tweaking this roster...
  9. Wasn't Shaw a FA?
  10. Nope. Each move we make I read posts like we are done for the offseason. I don't get it. Unfortunately there are a lot of negative Nellies here who will fret no matter what Stearns does. He signs Anderson and its a mistake because of his injury history. If he signs a big name its a mistake because we have too much money in one player when we have so many other needs on the roster. On another forum there is a guy who wants Stearns to trade Hader for a boat load of prospects.
  11. Ok? But everything is great. We've made the playoffs two consecutive years during what was supposed to be a rebuilding period, and we arguably have the most effective GM in the sport. Plenty of Yankees jerseys for sale online if you want to follow a team that splashes $300M on a perennial Cy Young contender. The Yankees are the best team money can buy.
  12. Good lord! That is one hell of a boat load of money!
  13. Here we go. You may want to follow one of the top 8markets in baseball. Not one in the bottom 5. The Bucks are a small market...they spent a crap ton of cash in the off season...the Packers are a small market...they spent a crap ton of $$ in the off season. That's a crutch that owners of "small market" teams lean on and fans buy into sadly. You are only a "small market" if you act like a small market. The Packers are in the smallest media market but I wouldn't say they are a "small market" team with their large national following and the equity of money for each NFL franchise.
  14. You forgot to post this in [sarcasm]blue[/sarcasm].
  15. I think most of us would have wanted Yas back but not at the price. We have more pressing needs to address and now we can at least financially.
  16. Why do players and coaches cover their mouths when the visit the mound? Teams try to steal signs in every sport to get an advantage. I don't see this is such a huge scandal. Trying to steal players under contract, for example (tampering), would be a more egregious sin.
  17. Vegas could work, but Jersey and Brooklyn should be #1 and #2 on any expansion list. Maybe Providence or Foxboro MA. In fact, I think the Florida teams should just split their season and play in Tampa/Miami in April, May, and September and should play in Jersey/Brooklyn in Jun, July and August. Playoff series' could alternate "home" sites. Well over half the people in Florida are "from" somewhere else anyway (same with Vegas). Yes, most baseball fans here bring their allegiances with them from where they are from. It is no coincidence that the only time the Rays have any fans is when they play the Yankees or Red Sox.
  18. Agreed. It makes zero sense to add another team to this state seeing the other 2 can't get people to attend unless the folks here want to see the visiting clubs. Maybe the recent success of the Rays will help their attendance in 2020 but the lousy "crowds" in Miami are not only embarrassing but sad.
  19. The eye test for me is Pina is the better defensive catcher and Yaz has the better bat.
  20. This line of thinking is how bad teams stay bad for such a long time. Just because you can afford a player doesn't mean the contract is what the team needs. That is not the contract the Brewers need right now. The team does have finite resources they can spend and this is most likely not a productive way for them to spend it in the long run. Yes, we should be using our limited resources on more pressing positions that C. It would be nice to upgrade that position but Pina isn't chopped liver either.
  21. Yes, it is a tad early to be concerned about the lineup before FA is complete.
  22. Moose hasn't signed with another club yet.
